Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Dual Weapons! Learning High-Level Skills! Standing Up to the Ex-Girlfriend!

"Mr. George, um... this Invisibility Spell is an A-rank skill, but the price isn't super expensive. I know people like you usually keep a low profile. I hope you can take these three skill books. They're all a gift from me."

Anna smiled warmly, like sunshine on a spring day, and said with a soft voice:

"As for this black card, there's one million on it. It's just a deposit. I'll send you the rest after we calculate the value of these materials tomorrow."

One million?

George raised an eyebrow.

Three skill books, plus one million.

Had he really taken off this fast, just two hours after awakening as a familiar keeper?

To a rich kid, this wasn't much at all.

But George was still getting his school allowance, and his place was just an old, run-down apartment.

He took a deep breath, thought for a moment, and nodded. "Okay, I'll take them."

Anna was imagining George's background and status.

George didn't feel like explaining.

But the Invisibility Spell had some use.

At least, it felt better not to have people peeking at his secrets.

[You learned Flame Explosion]

[You learned Invisibility Spell]

[You learned Holy Sword Cross Slash]

The prompt scrolled, and George instantly learned three skills. The Troll sword could now use Holy Sword Cross Slash. Flame Explosion, though, he didn't have a staff for it yet.

"Something wrong, Mr. George?" Anna noticed his expression and asked with a smile.

George: "Do you have a staff?"

Anna was surprised. "Uh, yeah, but what rank do you want?"

George: "Silver grade is fine."

"Just pay normally. When you calculate the value of the materials tomorrow, you can deduct the cost of the equipment then."

George decided to pay this time.

It wasn't that he couldn't take it for free, but owing people was annoying.

He had already gotten three skill books for free. That was enough.

Anna shook her head. "No, Mr. George, I'll just give it to you too. As long as we can have a long-term partnership in the future."

George: "It's fine. Deduct the money tomorrow. That's settled."

After a short silence, Anna finally nodded. "Okay, Mr. George."

Soon, a beautiful staff was brought into the VIP room.

[Flame Staff: Silver rank, Intellect +50, Magic Power +7%, a staff from a high-level elf realm]

Hmm?

Looking at the beautiful staff Anna handed to him, George's eyes lit up!

This was a good item!

The staff felt heavy in his hands, with golden runes carved all over it. The tip had a bright, dazzling gem.

The stats were even better - it gave +50 to Intellect!

"Flame Explosion is really useful when you use it," George thought to himself, feeling excited.

Anna: "Are you satisfied, George?"

Without realizing it, Anna's way of addressing George had changed a little. Maybe because she was in a hurry when she went to get the staff, she was a little out of breath. Her perfect, full figure rose and fell, full of charm.

Even though she was a bit older, maybe around 25, she had high heels, long legs, and a purple long dress that looked really good on her. She also had a charming and sexy look.

George slightly smiled, and a little feeling of warmth stirred in his heart.

"Okay."

He gave a casual reply. "I'm going now. I'll come back after I finish the Second Class Change mission."

Anna thought for a second and said, "Hmm... can I get your contact info? If you need anything later, just call me. Besides class changes, selling materials, and buying equipment, you can also ask me for other things."

Anna was calm and professional, but her tone had a little bit of an attractive edge.

George's eyes flickered, and he tried to control his feelings. He gave a calm smile. "Okay, fine."

"Feels good."

After leaving the Class Change Guild, George couldn't help but sigh, and a satisfied look appeared on his face!

It was really fun!

This time, he sold materials and got three free skill books, plus a really good staff from a high-level elf realm!

His level and power had also improved. Once he finished the Second Class Change, his strength would really jump up, taking another big step forward!

"I hope after the Second Class Change, it's not just R-rank again. At least give me a better one," George said with a bitter smile and shook his head.

The weakest R-rank in the world.

Even though the boss familiars he had now were pretty good, they had already left other students at the school far behind.

Even if Kent, the SSR, came, he'd just be beaten up by Elise and the Goblin King.

But if he could, George still hoped he could improve his class rank.

After all, R-rank only gives 1 point of growth per level. Each level only gives 1 point of stats.

It's just too hard to keep up.

"George?"

As soon as he left the Class Change Guild building, a familiar voice suddenly called out. George frowned. "Linna?"

It wasn't anyone else - it was his girlfriend, no, ex-girlfriend, Linna.

After leaving school, Linna had taken off her uniform and changed into a stylish, cool outfit - a crop top, a short skirt, and her white skin showed off. Her legs, arms, and even her cute face all looked glowing.

Under the sunlight, those seductive eyes stared at George, and her figure swayed slightly, with her chest rising and falling in a very noticeable way.

To be honest, Linna's character was bad, but she had never looked ugly.

"Why did you walk so fast? Were you in a hurry?"

George glanced at Linna and just walked away. But Linna suddenly frowned, and her tone carried a hint of mockery.

"Does it have anything to do with you?"

George's eyes were cold. He turned around and said coldly.

Linna snorted.

"Ha, hey, you actually blocked your class panel, huh? What's up? You come to the Class Change Guild just to buy a tool that hides your class stats? You really spend a lot on that, huh? With your R-rank job, who cares about being a familiar keeper?"

George: "Do you have something to say?"

His tone got even colder.

Linna suddenly felt awkward. A weird feeling came up in her chest.

"What do you mean, 'do you have something to say'? You bastard, why are you pretending?"

George: "Me, a bastard? Haha."

The more he said, the more George found it funny. His eyes were icy, and a sarcastic smile curled on his lips.

"Linna, who the hell is pretending? Hmm? Did I ever do anything wrong when we were dating? I helped you with your homework, you asked for anything, and I tried my best to get it for you. What happened? When I did a Second Class Change and became R-rank, you broke up with me in front of the whole school? Then you even turned around and bit me, calling me a bastard?"

"Are you brain-dead, or is your Intellect messed up?"

George continued.

"Don't act all high and mighty. If you don't like R-rank jobs, just break up from the start. No need to act like you're above it."

"Then don't contact me again."

"Go away."

After saying that, George ignored Linna completely and walked toward the city center.

At that moment, Linna was completely frozen!

What the hell does that mean?!

George woke up as a useless R-rank job.

Breaking up with him was completely normal, right?!

She was just doing what every girl would do!

And considering that George was pretty good-looking, she thought maybe she could have some fun with him. In return, she could help him level up.

But this guy didn't even appreciate it, and now he was talking back to her?

"What the hell is this?!" Linna took a deep breath, then her face turned red with anger.

"Who do you think you are, the school's top guy? If it wasn't for your strength in that area, and your good body, who would even want to look at you? There are plenty of handsome guys in Aurion City!"

The more she spoke, the angrier she got. Her eyebrows knotted together as she muttered through her teeth.

"Okay, okay, George, you wait. I'll show you."

Taking another deep breath, her body trembled slightly. Her anger wasn't calming down.

Linna walked into the Class Change Guild. This time, she came here to buy a pass to a secret realm.

As an A-rank mage, a real high-level practitioner, she was confident in her future and her power.

A mage! How could that R-rank support job of George even compare?

But as soon as she stepped into the guild hall, Linna suddenly froze.
