In the following days, Daniel and Blade teamed up to clear Deacon Frost's territory.
Blade charged into the fray, dealing damage, while Daniel focused on finishing off enemies and claiming the kills—a clear division of labor.
As their vampire kills climbed sharply, their terrifying reputation spread like wildfire throughout the vampire community.
Some even gave them a striking nickname—the Black and White Duo! (Black & White Double Kill!)
Perhaps their actions were too conspicuous.
By the third day of their team-up, they noticed a sudden drop in the number of vampires.
Most areas were guarded by only a dozen or so vampires, who would immediately flee at the slightest hint of danger, abandoning their territory completely.
After clearing another nearly empty zone, Daniel received a system notification:

[Does the player wish to skip the plot and activate the next mission?]
A follow-up mission?
Daniel didn't hesitate and chose to skip the plot immediately.
[NPC Nick Fury has issued a new mission to you.]
[Mission: Blood God Ritual]
[Objective: End the conspiracy of vampire lord Deacon Frost.]
[Reward: 5000 Experience Points, S.H.I.E.L.D. Reputation +100, Random Skill ×1, Random Equipment ×2, Random Item ×3]
Although it wasn't a main quest, the rewards were substantial.
Coincidentally, Blade had already tracked Deacon Frost's main base in the past few days, so Daniel immediately set off with him.
According to intelligence, Daniel and Blade arrived at a completely sealed private skyscraper.
The building resembled a steel fortress; all windows were covered with heavy metal shutters, preventing anyone from seeing inside.
Daniel looked from a distance: "Are vampires really that rich?"
Blade scoffed: "Many wealthy people want to become vampires."
"The richer someone is, the more they fear death. They'll pay any price for eternal youth and life."
Daniel looked at Blade curiously: "Then why are you so poor?"
Blade: "...I'm half-human, half-vampire. A new breed. I don't really count!"
Next, they formulated a plan.
It was simple: sneak in, then adapt as necessary.
Daniel suggested: "To prevent Frost from escaping, you go in from the ground floor, and I'll go in from the top. We'll surround the building."
Two people surrounding an entire building—that's a bold claim. Daniel liked it.
Blade gave a silent thumbs-up but asked: "How will you reach the top? That building has at least fifty floors."
Daniel didn't reply. He crouched, activated his Gravity Boots, stepped onto the vertical wall, and walked as if it were flat ground.
Blade was dumbfounded.
"Scientifically, that makes no sense," he thought.
Using the Gravity Boots, Daniel easily reached the rooftop. From above, he saw a group of vampires having a party by the pool.
Daniel raised a megaphone: "Hello! Everyone, look up!"
The vampires looked up in confusion. Half of Daniel's head appeared over the fifty-story edge.
Suddenly, cylindrical objects dropped among them.
"Shit! Flashbangs!"
A blinding light exploded, stunning them instantly.
Daniel leapt down, firing his Golden Desert Eagle loaded with silver bullets. Vampire heads turned to ashes.
The remaining vampires tried to retaliate but were still blinded. Chaos broke out.
Daniel eliminated them one by one, leaving only the last vampire alive for questioning.
"Where is Deacon Frost?"
"Deacon what?"
"Deacon Frost."
"What Frost?"
Bang!
The vampire elder fell. Apparently, Daniel had overestimated their healing—flashbang effects lasted longer than expected.
He opened his communicator: "This is Daniel. I've infiltrated the building. No one noticed. Over."
Blade's voice came through: "Same here. No one is aware of my presence either."
Daniel nodded. "Good. Split up and search for Frost."
Daniel descended the stairs. Suddenly—
Da-da-da-da—!
Dozens of armed vampires appeared, wearing bulletproof vests and helmets, armed with automatic rifles. A professional squad.
They opened fire immediately.
Daniel rolled behind cover. The vampires advanced in formation, maintaining suppressive fire.
A grenade rolled into their midst—hissing.
"Concentrated garlic essence grenade!"
Flames ignited instantly, reducing the vampires to ash.
Vampires may be resilient, but they are fragile against the right counters.
For Daniel, equipped with weapons and tools specifically designed to counter them, this was like fighting bots.
After clearing the upper floors, Daniel found no trace of Deacon Frost.
He contacted Blade again: "Blade, any luck on your side?"
Blade: "I found my resurrected mother."
Daniel: "…?"
