"You bastard, what exactly are you?", Kyurem roared in terror. Since the moment of his birth, he had never witnessed power like this.
He could see it clearly. What Gardevoir was using was not Hypnosis, but a force similar to a divine authority.
This divine authority had never appeared before, yet it was terrifying to the extreme. It could even affect the body of a Unova god dragon like him.
An ordinary Pokemon, even riding Glastrier, should not possess such power.
Gardevoir ignored Kyurem's roar. The long spear, coated in dense Fairy-type power, erupted forward. Fierce blizzards intertwined with Fairy butterflies, and at the moment the Ice Spear move struck Kyurem, massive amounts of Fairy-type energy surged into his body through the wound.
Although it was not as effective as a pure Fairy-type move, it still dealt considerable damage to Kyurem.
["Mortal Pokemon, you've enraged me!"]
Kyurem glared at Gardevoir with hatred, then slammed his right foot down hard. The ground beneath Gardevoir instantly bulged upward, smashing into the underside of the chariot.
At the same time, a downward-flashing ring of light passed over both Gardevoir and Glastrier.
A Ground-type move, Earth Power. While dealing substantial damage, it could also lower the opponent's Special Defense.
More importantly, under the effect of this strike, cracks appeared in the chariot beneath Gardevoir.
Fine fractures spread outward. The reins connecting Glastrier and "Spectrier" to the chariot were pulled taut, as if they might snap at any moment.
Seeing that a single attack had given him the upper hand, Kyurem squeezed out an ugly laugh from his throat.
["I thought you'd have some incredible power. Turns out you just look a bit bigger."]
He could feel it clearly. Gardevoir's new Fairy Queen state did come with some improvement, but the increase wasn't large.
At the very least, it was nowhere near comparable to his White Flame form.
Thinking this, the frustration Kyurem had been holding onto was swept away.
["If this is all you've got, then fall for me!"]
"Gardevoir, teleport and dodge," After the exchange, Axel reacted immediately.
He realized that even after unlocking the new Fairy Queen form, it was still very difficult for Gardevoir to defeat White Kyurem head-on.
Compared to the previous Fairy Queen state, her current advantages lay in speed and the psychic domain.
In close combat, because of her increased size, she was actually easier to hit.
As for everything else, he vaguely felt there was something different about Gardevoir, but he couldn't pinpoint what it was, and could only keep thinking it through.
Gardevoir nodded lightly. Spatial power surged, and she narrowly avoided Kyurem's second Earth Power.
"Hypnosis," Axel issued commands calmly, while shifting a bit closer to Rayquaza, in case Kyurem lost control and came after him, the Trainer.
As Axel's words fell, white Gardevoir's gaze settled on Kyurem. Dense drowsiness flowed into Kyurem's mind, making him feel an uncontrollable wave of sleepiness.
Pink Gardevoir blinked her big eyes, smiling faintly, looking as though she were just an onlooker.
A sudden flash of understanding crossed Axel's mind.
He knew where this new Fairy Queen form of Gardevoir was different.
When pink Gardevoir had attacked with the spear earlier, white Gardevoir had also been using psychic power.
Now, with white Gardevoir using Hypnosis, pink Gardevoir was acting like a spectator.
The greatest improvement of Gardevoir's new Fairy Queen state wasn't in attributes, but in the fact that she seemed to have become two Pokemon.
Two Pokemon that could use moves at the same time, and whose minds were perfectly connected.
Two identical flowers!
Back during the Three Kingdoms period, Axel had once seen two Gardevoirs holding hands, sharing power after their psychic energy became homologous.
When one Pokemon used Calm Mind, both of their psychic power would increase.
When both used moves at the same time, the moves would even undergo strange changes.
But back then, the two hadn't had enough time to synchronize, and Axel hadn't been able to deeply study this power.
He never expected that, inspired by Kyurem, Gardevoir would once again grasp this ability.
Axel couldn't wait to test it.
"Gardevoir, use Calm Mind!"
The next moment, just as Axel had envisioned, pink Gardevoir gently closed her eyes, and the power of Calm Mind was successfully activated.
Beside them, Rayquaza's eyes went wide. His previously lazy demeanor vanished.
He stared at Gardevoir and Axel in disbelief, shaking his head like a rattle drum.
'What?'
'How are the rules set by Arceus being treated like a joke in your hands? You can even find loopholes like this?'
Rayquaza had originally felt that being able to infinitely stack Dragon Dance, and even dodge moves with Dragon Dance, already made him a once-in-a-generation genius.
Even Kyurem fusing with himself had seemed just so-so to him. Wasn't it just a stat boost? Not even as convenient as Dragon Dance.
But after seeing what Gardevoir and Axel were doing, Rayquaza was truly jealous.
One Pokemon using two moves at the same time?
If Axel weren't on his side, he'd go catch a few Hydreigon right now and have them cry themselves to death in front of Arceus!
On the opposite side, Kyurem wore almost the same expression as Rayquaza.
Even though drowsiness was surging up, his eyes were still wide open as he stared at Axel in disbelief.
Last time, when Rayquaza's attributes suddenly increased, he endured it.
When that violent white Pokemon grew huge and pinned him underwater, he endured that too.
After all, those two were legendary Pokemon. It was normal for them to have some outrageous traits.
'But now, Axel, what exactly are you trying to do?'
'Your Gardevoir is an ordinary Pokemon. Fine, you let her transform together with Glastrier.'
'But now you're doing it twice?'
"ROAR!", Taking advantage of the brief moment before Hypnosis took effect, Kyurem let out an angry roar. His entire body burned with icy flames as he charged madly toward Axel.
He seriously suspected that if he didn't kill Axel this time, Axel would come up with a way next time to truly slaughter him.
The kind where he couldn't be revived.
At that moment, a massive moon suddenly appeared in midair. Silver light burst forth, and moonlight that should have been gentle as water crashed down onto Kyurem like a waterfall.
The first layer of moonlight was frozen.
The second layer was blocked by Kyurem as well.
But then came the third, the fourth, seemingly endless.
Under the effect of the supreme trait, the gap in power between Moonblast and Freeze Shock Flame was easily made up for by sheer quantity.
Kyurem's body was blasted beneath the mountains. With a sizzling sound, he fell straight into the center of molten lava, splashing magma everywhere.
Beside Kyurem, within a channel of surging lava, moved a massive "land jellyfish" made entirely of machinery.
A trainer, covered head to toe in dirt and holding binoculars, staggered backward in terror and shouted into his communicator:
"Miss Lillie, our escape plan has been discovered!"
