"Wait, don't rush to introduce it yet."
Mr. White's business instincts told him that things weren't that simple, "First tell me, how much are you planning to charge for this villa?"
"For such a luxurious standalone villa, the price obviously can't be low. If you rent it by the year, the rent is one thousand Dragon Coins a day."
When it came to the rent, Ethan naturally didn't hide anything and gave him the price directly.
Mr. White's pupils immediately contracted in shock, "One thousand Dragon Coins!"
"The villa you showed me before had ten rooms, and it was only one hundred Dragon Coins a day."
"The area of yours isn't even that much bigger, and it actually has fewer rooms. It just has a swimming pool. Is it really worth that much more?"
"You're treating me like a sucker and trying to rip me off, aren't you?"
"I'm telling you!"
"No way!"
"Angry?", Ethan grinned and patted Mr. White on the shoulder, "Good! That's exactly what I want."
"Ethan, what do you mean?"
Mr. White was stunned by Ethan's strange way of talking.
'What did he mean by saying it is good to be angry?'
'What is that supposed to mean?'
"Old White, think about it," Ethan said with a smile, "You think this house is expensive, don't you? You feel like you can't afford to live here? You think only people from the upper class, or people with particularly high status and a lot of money, can afford to live here?"
Mr. White still couldn't figure out Ethan's scheme, so he instinctively answered, "Yes. So what?"
"Exactly!", Ethan smiled, "That's the effect we want. A price that puts you above others, facilities that put you above others, space that puts you above others, and enjoyment that puts you above others."
"Tell me, you're all members of the Merchant Alliance, so why should they follow you?"
"It's because you have an aura of superiority. The place you live in is a level above theirs, and it's the kind of place they either can't afford or can't bring themselves to spend money on."
"Then won't they think, 'Huh? Could it be that Mr. White is especially capable, which is why he can afford to live in a house like this?'"
"'If I follow him, can I also make that much money and enjoy such a nice house?'"
"That's called self-delusion. Oh, no, self-imagination."
"It's also the first step in packaging yourself."
"But…", Mr. White was already getting confused, "But even if this is what you call self-packaging, it's still way too expensive. I can't afford to live here at all. If I really stay here for a long time, I'd basically be working for you. I'd be giving you all the money I make, so what kind of business would I still be doing?"
"What are you talking about! As brothers, how could I rip you off?"
Ethan said with a cheeky smile, "When a brother rents a house from me, how could I possibly charge him the same price as an ordinary person?"
"Old White, I'll make the decision here. For this leader-of-the-flock house, if you want it, I'll rent it to you at half price. But you absolutely can't tell anyone else."
"Otherwise, the other tenants will have complaints."
"And…"
"As long as you rent it for ten years, ownership of this house will be yours. After that, whether you live here yourself or rent it out, that's entirely up to you."
"Even five hundred Dragon Coins a day is too… What did you say?", Mr. White had originally wanted to argue, but he suddenly stopped halfway through. His face was filled with shock, "Rent… rent it for ten years, and you'll give me the house? For free?"
"That's right!", Ethan smiled, "As long as you rent it for ten years, this house will permanently belong to you. I won't charge you anything else. And you can do whatever you want with it."
"Re… really?"
Mr. White's eyes widened, and he still found it hard to believe.
Ethan, however, patted Mr. White on the shoulder, "Of course it's true. It's the brother price! Others can forget about it!"
"Then I'll rent it! I'll rent it right now!"
Mr. White was overjoyed.
Ethan naturally had a smile on his face as well.
The villa Mr. White rented cost nearly five times as much as an ordinary villa, but its area actually wasn't much larger than the other villas.
It simply had an extra swimming pool and some additional facilities.
And whether he built this kind of villa or that kind of villa, the amount of materials required was basically the same.
The system didn't care what style the villa was. The amount of materials consumed depended solely on the size of the villa.
So… the amount of money Ethan spent building the two types of villas was basically the same.
But this "luxury" villa was rented out for five times the price of an ordinary villa. If converted into time, Mr. White's ten-year lease was actually equivalent to paying fifty years of rent for an ordinary villa.
And that wasn't all… for the next ten years, as long as Mr. White still wanted this villa, he had no choice but to stay here and do business.
His workers and the members of his Merchant Alliance branch would all continue spending money at Ethan's place. Aside from rent, there would also be expenses for food, drinks, daily necessities, and even drinking and entertainment.
The value generated by these people would be far greater than the value of a single villa.
But Mr. White couldn't think that far ahead.
He only thought about what was in front of him.
'I'm going to do business here now, so I need to rent a house. If I rent this house for ten years, they'll give it to me for free. Doesn't that mean I can buy a house just by paying ten years' worth of rent?'
'He really is a good brother!'
