Chapter 78 - Rule No. 79: Don’t Call It Complicated Anymore

Aira realized something was different the day she stopped explaining him.

Not defending.

Not justifying.

Not translating his silences for other people.

Just… letting things be what they were.

Sia noticed first.

"So," she said casually while they waited for class to start,

"are we still calling this 'complicated' or can I upgrade the label?"

Aira smiled faintly.

"It's not complicated."

Sia raised an eyebrow.

"That's new."

"It's not easy either," Aira added.

"But it's clear."

Across the room, Reyhan looked up at that exact moment and met her eyes.

No confusion.

No second-guessing.

Just recognition.

Later, while walking together, Reyhan asked quietly,

"Do you ever feel like we're past the hard part now?"

Aira thought about it.

"The dramatic hard part," she replied.

"Yes."

"And the real hard part?" he asked.

She smiled softly.

"That's ongoing. But it doesn't scare me anymore."

Reyhan nodded.

"I used to call things complicated when I didn't want to commit to understanding them," he admitted.

"It was easier than choosing."

Aira glanced at him.

"And now?"

"And now I don't want an excuse word," he said.

"I want something I can show up for."

They stopped near the gate.

Aira looked at him carefully.

"I don't need this to be perfect," she said.

"I just need it to be honest."

Reyhan smiled—steady, sure.

"Then stop calling it complicated," he replied.

"Because it's not."

She laughed softly.

He was right.

It wasn't tangled.

It wasn't confusing.

It was just two people choosing to stay aware instead of dramatic.

And that felt like progress.

RULE #79: Don't call it complicated anymore.

Because when something is clear,

it deserves commitment—not excuses.
