Chapter 1 - — The Hero Who Never Asked for Destiny

---

Cold sweat trickled down his forehead.

Deva's eyes fluttered open, breath trembling as if he had woken from a nightmare he couldn't escape.

His chest tightened. His heartbeat thundered.

"No… this isn't possible…"

This was his old bedroom — the same cracked wall, the same faded curtains.

But last night…

Last night he was in the hospital, sitting beside his daughter's bed. Holding her hand. Praying she would wake up.

If he was here—

"Then what about my wife? My daughter?!"

Panic stabbed through his mind.

And then the memory struck him like lightning.

He had stepped out to buy medicine…

…and a truck had slammed into him.

After that—nothing but darkness.

And then—

A flash of blinding light.

A voice echoing like a temple bell:

"Hero! You have been summoned to save our kingdom!"

A priest stood before him, robed in gold.

Deva staggered back.

"Send me home! My family needs me—I can't stay here!"

But the priest bowed his head.

"You cannot return. Not unless you defeat the Demon Lord.

Our world depends on you."

And so Deva's unwanted destiny began.

Chapter 1 — A Kingdom Built on Lies

Five years passed.

Five years of relentless, inhuman training.

By now, Deva had reached the Martial Peak, a level unreachable for ordinary humans.

But he didn't care about power.

He cared about one thing:

"One day… I'll return to my family."

But the Demon Lord was a being far beyond him.

So Deva trained for twelve more years.

He mastered:

Divine Earth Gravity Magic

Thunder Art of Heaven

Sword Control

Divine Eye

And his deadliest skill — Soul Capture

He became the strongest weapon the kingdom ever had.

And the day finally came.

The Great War.

The kingdom watched with hope.

The battlefield trembled as Deva stepped forward to face the Demon Lord.

But in the royal palace—

a darker truth was being whispered.

---

"We cannot send him home."

The priest trembled before the king.

"Your Majesty… there is no spell that can return him."

The king's eyes turned cold.

"His purpose was to kill the Demon Lord.

Once the demon is gone… he becomes useless."

The priest froze in terror.

"Y-Your Majesty… what do you mean?"

King:

"When he is gravely wounded… finish him.

A hero without a purpose must not live."

The priest turned pale and bowed with shaking legs.

"A-As you command…"

Deva's closest friend was summoned — Rehan.

King lied smoothly:

"Deva has begun to fall into corruption.

He may turn into the next Demon Lord.

Stop him before he destroys us."

Rehan stepped back in horror.

"No… Deva would never—"

King:

"Do what I ordered."

And Rehan broke inside.

Chapter 2 — Last Breath of the Abandoned Hero

On the battlefield, Deva stood alone surrounded by 50,000 demons.

Lightning stormed around his body.

Gravity magic shattered the earth.

Soul Capture ripped through monsters like paper.

And then—

the Demon Lord appeared.

With powers of Time Manipulation and Demonic Creation, he was a monster beyond imagination.

Their battle shook the world.

Deva's arm was severed.

A blade pierced his stomach.

Blood soaked the battlefield.

But he did not fall.

He raised his divine sword.

"Heaven… lend me your strength!"

And then—

A blade stabbed him from behind.

Deva froze.

He looked down at the sword piercing his chest…

…and slowly turned.

"Rehan."

His only friend.

Rehan's eyes were filled with tears.

"I—I'm sorry, Deva… I had no choice…"

Deva laughed softly—

A broken, bitter laugh.

"I gave half my life for this kingdom…

And all they gave me back was betrayal."

He collapsed.

And with a final twisted smile…

Deva died.

Chapter 3 — The Blue Flower of Rebirth

Light.

Peace.

Silence.

When his eyes opened again, he saw it floating before him—

a glowing blue flower.

The same flower he once bought from an old witch in a market far away.

"Why… is this here?"

He reached toward it—

and warmth exploded around him.

His wounds vanished.

His body restored.

But something inside him had shattered forever.

His humanity.

His trust.

His heart.

"If I ever return to that kingdom…

I will erase it from existence."

The flower glowed brighter.

Dark aura wrapped around his body.

Black clothes materialized on him like shadows taking form.

He closed his eyes—

and when he opened them again…

He was reborn.

Reincarnated as the son of a Duke.

A new life.

A new identity.

A new purpose:

"The kingdom that betrayed me…

will fall by my hands."
