Chapter 213: The Method of the Poison Pill
"She's fine," Xiao Yan reassured Xiao Yi Xian, who was visibly panicked. Ignoring the unconscious disciple lying on the ground, he stood up and gently brushed a smudge of dirt off her white dress.
"Who even wears a white dress while gardening?" he teased.
"Mind your own business," Xiao Yi Xian retorted, shooting him a brief glare before turning her concerned gaze back to Hun Xin. "Are you sure she's okay?"
"She's fine, just overdosed on poison," Xiao Yan chuckled as he shook his head.
Hearing this, guilt welled up on Xiao Yi Xian's face. "It's my fault. I should've put that poison away instead of leaving it where she could find it."
Seeing her self reproach, Xiao Yan patted her gently on the shoulder and said in a comforting tone, "Just be more careful next time."
Still, Hun Xin's gluttonous mishap turned out to be a lucky break for him. Without it, Xiao Yan might not have discovered her unusual physique something that had eluded his initial examination when he had only noted her promising potential.
"Let's go," Xiao Yan said, taking her soft, cold hand in his. "I've gathered all the materials. It's time to help you control your Woeful Poison Body."
"Control the Woeful Poison Body?" Xiao Yi Xian's clear eyes locked onto him in astonishment.
"You can really control it?" she asked, her voice trembling with a mix of hope and disbelief.
"Of course," Xiao Yan said, pulling her closer by the waist. "Let's go to your room."
Hearing this, Xiao Yi Xian's already reddened eyes turned an even deeper shade of crimson. Despite her embarrassment, she obediently followed him, leaving the poisoned, unconscious Hun Xin behind in the field.
A Private Room
"Take off your clothes," Xiao Yan said as he placed a barrier around the room to block out any external interference.
"Why are you still shy? Haven't we been through this before?" Xiao Yan teased, smirking as he saw her hesitation.
"You're so annoying," Xiao Yi Xian muttered, shooting him a glare before delicately undoing her dress. The fabric slid off her snow white skin like flowing water, revealing a body as flawless as fine jade.
Even though Xiao Yan had seen her like this before, he couldn't help but marvel once again at the breathtaking beauty before him.
"Lie down on the bed and relax your body," Xiao Yan instructed, quickly regaining his composure. "Let the poison energy in your Woeful Poison Body flow naturally."
"Okay," Xiao Yi Xian said softly as she lay down on the bed and closed her eyes. Slowly, the deadly poison energy within her began to seep out, clouding the air with its gray, toxic presence.
As the poison spread, Xiao Yi Xian's face contorted in pain. Though the energy normally lay dormant within specific meridians, its sudden release was causing her immense discomfort.
"I'm starting," Xiao Yan said, his expression growing serious. Although he had mastered the theoretical method for creating a Poison Pill, this was his first time attempting it in practice. He had to ensure everything went smoothly; a single mistake could cost Xiao Yi Xian her life.
To prevent that, Xiao Yan focused every ounce of his concentration, even more than he would while refining a precious pill. He waved his hand, and two cold jade boxes appeared. One contained the magical core of an eighth rank Venomous Scorpion Dragon Beast, while the other held a rare Bodhisattva Body Transformation Salve.
The Bodhisattva Salve was an incredibly rare treasure, with even the Xiao Clan possessing only a limited supply. Fortunately, Xiao Yan's position within the clan granted him access to it without much difficulty.
Placing the two items before him, Xiao Yan opened his mouth, releasing a seven colored flame. The Seven Colored Yin Yang Flame enveloped Xiao Yi Xian's body, instantly reducing the bed beneath her to ashes.
Encased in the fiery lotus, Xiao Yi Xian turned pale, her delicate face showing signs of fear.
"Don't worry. I'll control the flame," Xiao Yan reassured her in a soothing tone, easing her panic.
"This might hurt a bit. Bear with it," he added.
Xiao Yi Xian nodded firmly despite her unease, her resolve unwavering.
Xiao Yan didn't waste any time. He guided the flame with his spiritual energy, fully enveloping her body in its protective warmth.
Refining the Poison
As the flames surrounded her, the gray poison energy within Xiao Yi Xian's body began to react violently. It hissed and sizzled as if meeting its nemesis, retreating rapidly and eventually surging back into her core.
"Ah!" Xiao Yi Xian let out a cry of pain as her body convulsed. Her previously bright eyes turned a dull gray, and a faint aura of death emanated from her.
However, Xiao Yan had anticipated this. As soon as her body began to tremble, his hands formed a series of seals.
"Condense!" he shouted.
The seven colored flames split into countless tiny tendrils, penetrating Xiao Yi Xian's skin and spreading throughout her body. The fiery tendrils combed through her veins and muscles, purging and containing the poison energy.
Xiao Yi Xian's Woeful Poison Body had not yet fully matured, making its poison energy manageable for Xiao Yan's level of control. Slowly but surely, he drove the toxic energy into her abdomen, condensing it into a swirling vortex.
Within this vortex, a tiny seven colored flame lotus began to take shape, trapping the deadly poison energy within its petals.
"The poison energy is gathered. Now, to extract it using the magical core and purify it with the Bodhisattva Salve," Xiao Yan murmured.
Carefully, he placed the magical core onto Xiao Yi Xian's smooth abdomen. The core emitted a faint glow as it fused seamlessly into her body, embedding itself within the fiery lotus at the vortex's center.
With the core in place, Xiao Yan's expression turned even more serious as he reached for the jade box containing the Bodhisattva Salve. The most critical step was about to begin.
