MC's POV
The morning air felt unusually light, almost pleasant, as I walked toward the Hokage building with my squad behind me. It was almost ironic. Political pressure, internal manipulation, silent accusations — all of it hidden beneath a peaceful blue sky.
I had officially become a Captain within the Uchiha Police Force. The promotion came quickly after the clan meeting. My "efforts" in stabilizing internal concerns and exposing suspicious behavior had not gone unnoticed. Eliminating Rin's support base inside the clan had its rewards.
As we entered the Hokage's office, Hiruzen Sarutobi looked exactly as expected — calm, tired, but sharp. His pipe rested between his fingers as smoke curled lazily toward the ceiling.
"The Uchiha have sent you," he said without greeting.
"Yes, Hokage-sama," I replied respectfully.
"What does the clan want?"
"The clan requests disciplinary action against Rin Uchiha," I said clearly. "Specifically, demotion from the elite academy class."
He was visibly taken aback.
"But he is a genius," Hiruzen said, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"He may be a genius," I answered evenly, "but he is emotionally detached, increasingly disrespectful, and uncooperative with clan. The clan believes correction now is better than regret later."
That part was true. Even if Rin distanced himself from the clan, they still saw him as one of their own. They did not want another rogue Uchiha in the future.
Hiruzen did not like it. That much was obvious.
Still, he dismissed me with a cold wave of his hand.
As I exited the building, I saw Danzo waiting in the corridor like a shadow that refused to leave.
"As expected from an Uchiha," he muttered.
I simply nodded and continued walking.
Moments later, voices rose faintly behind the office doors. Danzo wanted Rin sent to Root. Hiruzen refused. The argument ended with Hiruzen asserting his authority as Hokage and Danzo warning him he would regret it.
None of it mattered.
The damage was already done and That same day, Rin was publicly demoted.
He didn't shout. He didn't argue.
He simple refused to change class which forced teacher to report back his behaviour to hokage as "emotionally abnormal," which only strengthened our case.
By afternoon, I received official orders from hokage himself.
Bring Rin in for questioning.
I smiled faintly.
Everything was moving faster than I expected.

Rin's POV
The classroom felt suffocating after the announcement and the whole day finished with visible tension in the air.
Mikoto stood in front of me, her eyes filled with worry.
"Brother Rin… maybe you should just accept the Hokage's arrangement," she said softly.
Kushina looked even worse. Tears shimmered in her bright red eyes.
"Brother Rin… I'm sorry. This is my fault," she whispered.
Seeing her cry stirred something inside me. I stepped forward and pulled her into a firm hug.
Her small hands gripped my shirt tightly.
"It's not your fault," I said quietly. "Don't blame yourself."
Mikoto watched us. She understood Kushina needed comfort. She stayed silent, though I could feel her slight jealousy.
"I won't let anyone separate us," I told them both. "No one can send me away from you."
Both of them blushed.
Across the classroom, a yellow-haired boy felt something twist painfully in his chest. He didn't understand why.
The other students stared in disbelief. The boldness, The closeness, The defiance was something else.
"Brother Rin… but the Hokage…" Kushina said nervously.
"The Hokage is wrong this time," I replied calmly. "Nothing will happen to me."
I believed that.
I truly did.
But then the classroom door slid open.
Five figures stepped inside.
The temperature in the room seemed to drop instantly.
At the front was a middle-aged Uchiha officer. His expression was professional. Cold.
Behind him stood armed members of the Police Force.
My eyes met his.
There was no hostility in his gaze.
Only duty.
"Rin Uchiha," he said firmly.
"You are under arrest." The entire class gasped, Kushina froze and Mikoto's hand tightened around my sleeve.
