Chapter 7 - Substitute Puppet, Offshore Island Plan

After figuring out the new system, Yun Han breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness, he still had his golden finger.

The new system's function was that he could draw an item from the system's roulette wheel every month. Everything was by chance and without restrictions. It could be a useless wooden stick, or it could be a treasure or divine artifact from the myriad worlds.

The roulette wheel refreshed daily, but he only had one chance to draw each month. Each draw would give him a spirit bead. Collecting a specified number of spirit beads allowed him to exchange for the highest-level item that had appeared on the roulette wheel.

"There's also a guaranteed exchange mechanism?" Yun Han's eyes widened.

Subsequently, Yun Han tidied up his condition and flew back to the island, releasing Xue Yue.

"Master, did you succeed?" The moment she came out, Xue Yue asked this question first.

"Yes, your master has successfully passed the tribulation," Yun Han said, patting her head with a smile.

"Master is amazing," Xue Yue said, her eyes sparkling with admiration.

"Ahem," Yun Han coughed lightly to cover his embarrassment. He had used external methods from beginning to end and hadn't suffered any damage from the lightning tribulation, which could be considered a bit opportunistic.

But fortunately, it was all based on the strength of his own abilities.

After all, those were all methods belonging to cultivators.

"Alright, go do what you need to do. I need to consolidate my cultivation."

"Yes, Master." Xue Yue replied and left.

Seeing her go, Yun Han began to check the final reward given by the golden finger system.

All the Immortal-level spells and breakthrough methods, including some Immortal-level knowledge, were now stored in Yun Han's mind.

He opened his inventory to check the tangible rewards. If he remembered correctly, there was also the Scroll of Time, Part Two.

"Body Double Puppet: A portion of the Primordial Spirit can enter to activate it. The puppet has 100% realism to the real person and possesses 20% of the main body's strength. It can substitute the main body's death once."

Body Double Puppet?

Yun Han took out the puppet. Although he was very tempted by the puppet's effect, there was a problem.

If he wasn't mistaken, the puppet's gender… was female?

Yun Han's lips twitched.

Not a bro?

I'm a guy, what's going on?

But, this is a Body Double Puppet, a 100% life-saving artifact.

Yun Han endured the tearing sensation in his soul, splitting off a portion of his Primordial Spirit and entering the puppet's body.

A dazzling light rose, and within the light, a delicate figure appeared.

After a long while, Yun Han, face flushed, looked at the long-haired woman in white robes before him.

"Hmm, not bad."

After careful study, Yun Han concluded that the Body Double Puppet did indeed possess a hundred percent realism and inherited twenty percent of the main body's strength, but it inherited the cultivation realm fully.

That made sense. An Immortal was still an Immortal, and even with only partial strength, it was far stronger than any cultivator who hadn't reached Immortality.

"Xue Yue, come here for a moment."

A flash of white light appeared, and Xue Yue materialized before him. Seeing the white-robed woman standing to the side, she was momentarily stunned before looking at Yun Han.

"Ahem, Xue Yue, this… well, she's a clone of your master, but there was a slight mishap during the creation process, which is why she looks like this now." Yun Han coughed into his fist to hide his embarrassment.

"Huh?" Xue Yue was a bit bewildered. This? Was this her master's clone?

Despite Yun Han's explanation, Xue Yue's gaze towards him seemed a bit strange. Yun Han quickly returned to a serious demeanor.

"Xue Yue, although I have become an Immortal, I don't know why I cannot ascend to the Immortal Realm for the time being, so I am still figuring things out. In the future, I will have this clone guide your cultivation."

Although the clone also had its own thoughts, it was still connected to the main body, so Yun Han's decision didn't seem to be a problem.

"Yes, Master." Xue Yue responded.

Yun Han watched Xue Yue and the clone's departing figures, feeling that this girl seemed a little excited. It was really strange.

Shaking his head, Yun Han didn't think too much about it and opened the inventory again.

"Scroll of Time: One of the Time Scrolls, contains a time domain. Understanding it can allow one to grasp the power of time and use time magic."

It was more concise than the Scroll of Void, but after pondering for a while, Yun Han gave up.

The Scroll of Time was even more difficult to comprehend, containing all sorts of profound mysteries. Trying to understand it now felt like a primary school student trying to study the unsolved mysteries of the world.

So he gave up and looked for other rewards.

Skill: Star River Sword Array. This array originated from a mysterious sect and is a secret formation passed down through generations. When activated, those within the array will be subjected to an endless barrage of water swords, their attacks mirroring the boundless light of a starry sea.

These water swords are no ordinary weapons; they possess mysterious and potent power. Once trapped within the Star River Sword Array, one feels as though they are amidst the vast expanse of the cosmos, surrounded by countless shimmering water swords.

Furthermore, the water swords within the Star River Sword Array are not static. As time passes, the number of water swords increases, and their attacks become increasingly ferocious.

Skill: Heaven-Splitting Sword Technique. This technique embodies boundless killing intent and profound mystery. Its moves are ever-changing, making them impossible to defend against. When mastered, it unleashes earth-shattering power, capable of severing surging rivers and tearing apart the vast heavens and earth.

Skill: Ice Seal Heaven and Earth. This is an ice-based sword skill. It can freeze a vast area, and at its limit, it can freeze all things in heaven and earth.

Three more skills, and one of them is even an array skill. This has strengthened his foundation even further.

Host: Yun Han

Cultivation: True Immortal Realm

Techniques: Supreme Ice Heaven Technique (Level 3), Taiheng Qingxuan Record

Equipment: Primal Chaos Immortal Armor: Low-Grade Immortal Artifact; Star River Profound Water Sword: High-Grade Immortal Artifact; Azure Dragon Boots: High-Grade Immortal Artifact,

Supernatural Powers: Profound Ice Bone Condensation Technique, Ice Splitting Technique, Ice Star Fall, Reduce the Earth to an Inch, Star River Sword Array, Heaven-Splitting Sword Technique, Ice Seal Heaven and Earth, Five Directions Heaven and Earth Technique, Primordial Sea of Fire Technique.

Spells: Alchemy, Refining, Talisman Arts, Array Formation, Others…

Regarding magical treasures, after the Immortal Ascension Tribulation, the reward was two High-Grade Immortal Artifacts. Yun Han was moved at the time, sighing, "Cultivation System, I didn't expect you to leave me so much inheritance before you died."

Cultivation System: "Thank you. I just got off work, and someone's already cursing me to kick the bucket?"

After another two hundred years, Yun Han's understanding of space had reached its peak, and he was finally able to inscribe a Teleportation Array.

Xue Yue, under the guidance of Yun Han's clone, had also cultivated to the Spirit Transformation stage.

On this day, Yun Han finally finished setting up the Teleportation Array.

"Okay, guys," Yun Han tossed the tool he used to inscribe the array to his clone.

"O…k?" Xue Yue tilted her head.

"It means we're done," Yun Han said with a smile, and patted her head.

"The Teleportation Array inside the island is done. As for the outside, it's up to you guys."

Yun Han patted the clone on the shoulder, and suddenly a numb sensation spread from the clone to him, startling him so that he quickly retracted his hand.

The clone nodded.

"It's not good to keep calling you 'clone'. How about this, you can be called Yun Yan from now on. What a poetic name, haha," Yun Han pondered for a moment before deciding on a name for his clone.

"Xue Yue, I need to cultivate in seclusion on the island. I'm leaving the task of venturing out for experience to you this time. With Yun Yan's protection, there shouldn't be any problems," Yun Han said to Xue Yue.

"Yes, Master," Xue Yue nodded in understanding.

"I'll give you a few of my abilities. You must protect Xue Yue," Yun Han tapped his middle and index fingers on Yun Yan's forehead.

He copied the first four abilities he had learned and transmitted them.

"If you encounter any unsolvable dangers, remember to crush this Jade Pendant. It can safely bring you both back here," Yun Han took out two Jade Pendants and gave one to Yun Yan and one to Xue Yue.

"Yes, Master."

"Go, I'll be waiting for your return."

"Take care, Shizun." Xue Yue turned and waved, then with Yun Han's smiling gaze, Yun Yan held her hand, and the two disappeared from sight.

"From now on, it's a life of being alone again…" Yun Han muttered to himself, his voice echoing through the silent valley, as if declaring his solitude and helplessness to the world.

He slowly turned around, his gaze fixed on the distant mountaintop Temple/Shrine. The towering structure seemed particularly solemn and mysterious under the sunlight.

Yun Han took steady but heavy steps, walking towards the mountaintop Temple/Shrine.

His figure gradually faded into the distance on the winding mountain path, blending with the surrounding environment, as if becoming a part of this mountain range.

As he got closer, the mountaintop Temple/Shrine became increasingly clear before his eyes. Its walls shimmered with strange light, and huge stone pillars stood on both sides of the entrance, giving off a solemn and reverent feeling.

Yun Han stopped, quietly gazing at the Temple/Shrine, a wave of complex emotions welling up in his heart.

After a moment, Yun Han took a deep breath and continued forward. His footsteps echoed through the empty corridor, as if he were the only person left in the world.

Finally, he arrived at the central hall of the Temple, and sat upon the highest throne.

Looking around, the palace was empty. Although the Temple guards stood below, they were all lifeless puppets. In the entire palace, the only living being…

Was him.
