As they ate and chatted, Zhongli's words startled Paimon. "What?!"
Tartaglia explained, "No need to be surprised. Although Tianquan Ningguang has hidden the Rock God's Immortal Body, let's hear what Mr. Zhongli has to say."
"The era of the Immortal Host is fading, and the age of mortals is gradually dawning," Zhongli said calmly. "In the past, when immortals departed, there were always grand ceremonies. But this year, even the Liyue Qixing couldn't uphold this tradition. It's truly a disgrace."
Afterward, Zhongli invited Ying to help prepare for the Rite of Parting. Yunyan, standing nearby, instinctively felt as if a yellow exclamation mark had appeared above Zhongli's head.

After discussing the important matters, Tartaglia decided to stay behind while Yunyan, Zhongli, and Ying left.
At the door, Zhongli turned to Ying and said, "Traveler, Liyue's 3,700 years of history are the deepest among the Seven Nations. The preparation of the Rite of Parting will also become a part of your journey, broadening your horizons."
"The Rite of Parting should traditionally be handled by the successive masters of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. However, this time the master has entrusted this matter to me. As a guest consultant of the parlor, this is no small task."

Afterward, the three of them, plus Paimon, went to gather the necessary items.
After several trips back and forth, they finally collected everything they needed. During this time, Yunyan witnessed Zhongli's extravagant spending and Liyue's infamous Ying'er carriage.
Ying'er appeared to be driving, but no one could find any evidence...
"Though we have all the required items, it's already late in the day. We'll have to proceed tomorrow," Zhongli said, glancing at the sky.
Then Zhongli and Yunyan parted ways with Ying. Only Zhongli and Yunyan remained at the scene.
"How did you find this experience today?" Zhongli asked Yunyan.
"Liyue is quite nice," Yunyan replied casually, though a certain thought lingered in her mind.
"Hmm, you seem preoccupied. Would you care to share what's on your mind?" Zhongli noticed and asked with a soft chuckle.
After a moment's hesitation, Yunyan said, "Zhongli, would you like to see Guizhong again?"
Zhongli was momentarily taken aback. He shook his head. "That's all in the past. The departed are gone; I can wish to see her, but I cannot."
Noticing his wistful expression, Yunyan said, "Perhaps the Island Master could find a way to let you see your old friend again."
"Is this true?" Zhongli turned to her, his eyes wide with surprise.
Yunyan pondered for a moment before replying, "The Island Master has the ability, but I'm not certain he would be willing."
"If so, that would be wonderful. Please ask him for me, Boss Yun. If he agrees, I'll owe you a great favor," Zhongli said, his tone unusually solemn.
"Very well. I'll relay your message later," Yunyan agreed after a moment's thought.

The next day, Ying and Paimon arrived as promised. Zhongli and Yunyan were already waiting.
"Everything is prepared. The ritual may now begin."

After the ritual, while chatting with Zhongli, Ying asked about Inazuma. Zhongli explained that the nation was currently in a state of isolation, making it impossible for Ying and Paimon to visit through normal channels for the time being.
"How about I treat you three to some of Liyue's specialty cuisine?" Zhongli suggested.
"Yes, yes! I'm starving!" Paimon eagerly jumped out at the mention of food.

Afterward, Zhongli led the group to Three Bowls Past the Ridge for sweet rice balls and to listen to Tian Tiezui tell stories.
Midway through the story, a voice echoed from the rooftop: "Finally found you, the one who returned from Jueyun Karst."
Ying instinctively tensed, ready to flee, but the voice continued: "Please wait. I'm not from the Millelith, nor am I here to arrest you. I am an envoy of the Liyue Qixing, secretary of Yuehai Pavilion—Ganyu."
Everyone looked up.
The newcomer had long blue hair tied back in a natural ponytail, a single cowlick on her head, and two small, black-and-red qilin horns growing on either side of her head.
A golden bell hung around her neck, and her Cryo Vision was attached to the Chinese knot at her waist. She wore a white qipao with golden embroidery, a tight, backless bodysuit underneath, and black stockings that ended in golden-trimmed tops.
White arm sleeves covered her hands, with double-layered cuffs that flared outward in a gradient of blue. Black gloves extended up her forearms, fading into the same gradient blue.
"Why don't you come down and join us? Why are you up on the roof?" Yunyan asked with a smile.
"Ah, my apologies, but I'm just here to deliver a message," Ganyu said, looking somewhat embarrassed. She then relayed Ningguang's invitation to Ying and left.
"You two go ahead," Zhongli said to Ying and Paimon.
"Alright, see you later!" Paimon and Ying said their goodbyes and departed.
"Does Ningguang know about your plan?" Yunyan asked, watching their retreating figures.
"Not yet. But after this, I'll inform her in a dream," Zhongli replied, taking a sip of his tea.
"You're quite bold, letting those Fatui run amok like this. Aren't you worried they might not be able to handle it?" Yunyan asked with a smile.
"It's fine. If they can't manage, it simply means Liyue isn't ready to embrace the age of humans. In that case, I'll intervene myself," Zhongli said, shaking his head.
"Heh, very well. I'll take my leave then. Enjoy your tea," Yunyan said with a light laugh, rising to depart.
Back at the Divination Pavilion, Yunyan remembered her promise to Zhongli. She took out a jade token and sent a message to Yunhan in Inazuma, relaying Zhongli's request and asking for his opinion.

Meanwhile, Yunhan, who was leisurely strolling through Inazuma City, received a message from Yunyan.
"Oh? Zhongli wants to see his old friend? How interesting..." A faint smile played on Yunhan's lips.
After sending a reply to Yunyan, he grabbed the fried tofu he had bought and hurried to the Grand Narukami Shrine.
"You're such a strange person," Yae Miko said, though her hands were already snatching the tofu and devouring it. "If you want to win Ei's heart, shouldn't you be trying to please her instead of coming to me?"
"Liyue has a saying: if you want to win someone over, first befriend their closest confidante. It's the quickest path," Yunhan said with mock seriousness.
"Oh? Is that so? Liyue's culture is truly profound," Yae Miko said between bites.
After finishing the tofu, Yae Miko looked at Yunhan and asked, "What's the real situation?"
"Still recovering," Yunhan replied.
"Then you should hurry. If you keep her waiting too long, Ei might just lose her patience and give you a swift blade to the neck," Yae Miko said, pursing her lips.
"Oh? I'm looking forward to that," Yunhan's eyes lit up.
"Tch, I don't know what you're looking forward to. If that blade really falls, I won't be able to block it for you. Not that I could even if I wanted to," Yae Miko said, shaking her head at this strange man's thoughts.
