Chapter 27 - General Alexanderia

Ray released his seed into Rose's core for the fifth time that night; she had given him the permission to do whatever he wanted, and Ray released all the lust that had accumulated during the last day in his body.

Her voice was shaky as she said, "Can I stay in your place for tomorrow? I can't be seen like this by family."

Ray kissed her hand. "Yeah, I have some things I must do tomorrow; you can rest all you want in there."

Rose was a little sad, but she needed a lot of rest all day anyway.

After making sure that she was asleep, Ray left the room toward the hall.

Five soldiers with black uniforms awaited him. For some time he had been summoned, but they had given him some time for the general's arrival.

"Mr. Kurosawa, please follow us."

Ray wore his shirt once more; he couldn't even detect which one was speaking. "Please show me the way."

They didn't make any sound and moved toward the door; Ray followed them. The whole castle seemed to be asleep.

"Can I ask which squad you belong to?" Ray was curious; the military had entered the game personally. That also meant the threat of Judges was not something to take lightly.

"We are the personal army of General Alexanderia."

Ray observed the whole castle through glasses; in the rooms that were not blurred, he was asleep too. "The general herself wants to see me?"

"Yes."

Ray smiled. Alexanderia, the sword of death, in the ranking of the generals, was the weakest one among all ten of them, but still, being a general meant the assets she could control were beyond belief.

The government that ran the earth was nothing but a mere puppet of the military. It was common knowledge that the military pulled all the strings, and on Earth, eleven people stood on top of the rest in ranks.

Ten generals each had their own army the size of a planet with an arsenal enough to destroy a planet in days. Above them stood one single person: Admiral of the whole fleet.

Even its existence was a legend; no one had seen him after the great war on Mars. However, his seat was still visible during open meetings.

"In the fight, Scarlet didn't even show up. What is his role?" Ray wondered about the future: "I might see him in this life."

The whole castle was quiet under the moonlight; the group of six moved to the roof.

Soon an alone person came into his view; the group stopped, and one of them said as they returned to the stairs, "Go on."

"Thanks." Ray nodded and walked toward the person in the middle of the sky.

Her gray hair shone under the moonlight; they were so long that they reached her legs. The only thing that she had worn was a white kimono that showed more than it hid.

Ray remembered her from an article; Alexanderia was the most deadly beauty in the whole world. He couldn't deny that; even compared to women around her, she was in a league of her own.

"At your disposal, General Alexanderia."

She turned around; Ray felt her eyes were watching his soul more than his body.

"You smell like Marian."

"What..."

Before he could react, a long katana was on his throat, with a dark aura around the sword.

Her voice was still calm: "Where is Marian?"

"I don't know what you are talking about." Ray had promised Marian to not tell anyone about her; he preferred death over breaking his promise.

The tip of the sword penetrated her skin; drops of his blood fell on the dark metal. "If you think I'm going to kill you just now, you are wrong. I'm going to cut you limb from limb until you tell me where Marian is."

No changes were made on Ray's face. "Fuck you."

"Haha..." Alexanderia started to laugh as the sword disappeared: "Marian told me you were worth it, but I had to test you for myself."

Ray decided to stay silent a little more. Maybe it was just an act too.

"Marian has a tailor shop at the first district. She is my teacher. You can drop the act now."

"She was your teacher?"

"Yeah, a long time ago."

Ray thought, "Well, that's news; that makes sense of the war of moonlight."

She returned to her chair and watched the moonlight on her hands.

A blood chair was summoned for Ray, and it sat next to her: "Why did you want to see me?"

Her lips didn't move, but Ray could hear her voice clearly: "How much do you know about the Judges?"

There was no point in hiding it. "I am aware that they want to kill Scarlet. If it's even possible."

"They have opened an old Pandora's box. They might have a chance at succeeding, but do you know what will follow up if they succeed?"

"Four angry Immortals crushing earth in their way?" Ray had guessed it since the first time he had heard about it.

"No, a new Immortal will rise; only one Immortal can kill another one. If the whole earth is not destroyed in their fight, the balance in power will break."

"What do you mean?"

"Think about what holds the strings on earth together. It's the existence of generals. On Mars, although it's different, each Immortal has their own land in there. A new one means an all-out war among Immortals."

His memories were clear of what happened in the end as five pseudo immortals were to fight on earth. At the end, if Scarlet didn't fall, still the earth world would change completely.

Ray was surprised: "The Goddess squad are not the only Immortals?"

"No, there are fifty of them on Mars; some of them are not even human. That's where you come into the game; we want to stop their plan before it unfolds, but if someone like a general makes a move, their higher-ups will fight back too. I want you to be my personal agent and participate in the missions that include the judges."

"What's in it for me?" Ray wanted to say yes, but gaining more benefits from a general meant a lot.

Her voice this time came from the sky: "I will announce you as my vice general."

"I'm in." If he wanted to work his way up in the military, it could take a hundred years to become a vice general; now that the offer was on the table, he was sure to take it.

"Good, my name can protect you for a few months; until then, you should be ready to fight too." She stood up from her chair and faced the moon in the sky: "Plus, your equipment will be made by the military."

She threw him a watch. Ray took the armor and inspected it; its model was unknown to him.

"It's an A780. It can bend time around your armor; objects flying towards you will get slower, and it has a gamma bomb self-detonation. You know what you should do if you are in a desperate situation."

Ray smiled. "I will take down as many as possible with me."

"Exactly. I should go too. Just one last piece of advice: don't go searching for mysteries beyond your reach." Just like that, a dark portal appeared above her and swallowed her body. "See you tomorrow."

Ray played with his new watch; the field armor was stronger too.

"They didn't give me the best model!"
