Jimmy had four buttons in front of him, that to his surprise, the syringe had flashed in front of him after it transformed.
The control panel was rather simple. It was small, for one thing, and the buttons were squeezed together in a square. Two at the top, and two at the bottom.
Pressing any button whatsoever was highly experimental, he expected everything to happen at random, but that wasn't enough to make him nervous. He was used to experimenting, and today, when he needed a miracle the most, when he was trying to avoid cloning himself, there was near to nothing that could intimidate him!
He was willing to try every possible alternative to cloning himself, likewise, he went ahead and pressed the first button. He was hoping that the Compy clone wasn't going to die during the short experiments that were to follow, but if it did die, he wouldn't quite be bothered by it. He didn't want it to die, but sometimes lab rats had bad luck.
