Chapter 4 - Meeting Diablo for first time

Arjit look at pond god. Arjit suddenly asked, "Sir? If I give you something, will you upgrade it?"

The pond god look at him. And suddenly laughed.

Arjit got embarrassed. He points and asked, "Why are you laughing?"

But before The pond god can answer, Arjit thought of a answer. Cause he knows where he is now. He knows he is at too much disadvantages.

In a world where Evolution matters most, he didn't seem to evolve once. He didn't know his age. But by the height standerds of this world he thinks he is 10. That age enough for 3 evolution of a ogre. Ogre to oni and oni to humanoid oni. But he is still oni.

Much less he doesn't know his soul colour.

This world have a power system. Inhuman species evolve 10 times. Then they get to know their soul colour.

Red means they are physically powerful. They can be strong warrior or knight.

Blue is for magic.

Green is for material arts.

Purple is for bowman.

But he doesn't evolve till now.

Arjit think the pond god knows ut. That's why..

But even then what he is laughing? What can I give him to exchange something powerful?

But then the pond god talks interrupting his thoughts.

"Beat. I don't need anything. I healed your body. Not only that I also give you gifts. And I will give you some more. But your body needs to be trained. That's why I am stopping you. Although you are healed. Your body needs to adapt first."

That's when Arjit was shocked. It took him sometime to understand his situation. He laughed slowly.

But then suddenly he heard a voice coming towards him.

Arjit stand up.

Arjit's eyes light up. He immediately guess that Diablo is probably here.

And as he thought Diablo came with a big head of that big rabbit rolling. He came out of darkness.

Pond god immediately vanished in the pond.

Arjit looked Diablo. As Diablo looked at him. Both are looking at each other.

Arjit is looking at a young man with messy, wavy black hair that falls over his forehead and ears, lit from behind by a cold bluish glow so that the edges of his hair look almost silver. His skin is pale and smooth, but the right side of his face and neck is cracked open with glowing molten lines, as if fire or lava is burning beneath, and the same light shines fiercely from his eyes. He holds a long katana resting on his shoulder with one hand, standing.

Diablo is looking at a boy of 10 years with a green ogre body with small horns a messy hair. His body is long and lean figure. He is skinny.

Diablo asked in a awakard and fearful tone, "Who are you?"

Arjit was amazed by his acting. But he didn't immediately expose him. Instead...

Arjit fall on his knees..

"Ahh. Finally. Someone came. Are you here to rescue me?"

Diablo was taken aback by this.

He thought, 'Is there someone locked up in this dungeon? But how?"

Diablo asked, "Who are you? Why are you here?"

Arjit made a face of sadness, "I don't remember. I am surviving by hiding in this pond. If not this creatures would have killed me long ago."

Diablo frowned. " By creatures? You mean these demonic rabbits?"

Arjit nods.

Diablo notice Arjit's body and guessed his situation.

" He couldn't evolve! Probably that's why his family leave him in this dungeon. How cruel! I am a orphan. But I don't want to be that kind of parent." Diablo thought.

Diablo goes closer to Arjit. He sat down beside Arjit. He removed his equipments and placed them near. He took off his bag and place it near Arjit and said to Arjit, " How long are you here?"

" I don't remember." Arjit answer.

" What is your name?" Diablo asked.

" Arjit." " And yours?" Arjit asked.

" Diablo." " You simply remeber your name?" Diablo asked.

" Probably yes!" Arjit answered.

But then The sword fall in pond.

Diablo didn't notice cause he was looking towards the cave roof. But Arjit was the one who slids the sword towards the pond.

As soon as Diablo saw his blade his drowning, he shouted, "Shit!"

Diablo start to open his clothes to jump in the pond to retrieve it. Cause he remembers Arjit saying he hids in the pond to his from demonic rabbits.

So that means pond was safe.

But then...

The water stirred.

A figure rose from the pond—a tall, translucent man made of flowing water, his features smooth and expressionless. His voice rippled like a current sliding over stones.

"Adventurer, is this sword yours?"

In his hands rested a blade of stunning beauty: a golden sword, its hilt encrusted with bright gems that shimmered in the dim cavern light. It looked like something a king would carry, not an exhausted imp who barely survived a dungeon.

Diablo shook his head.

"No… that's not mine."

The Pond God nodded once.

The golden sword dissolved back into the pond, as though it had never existed.

A moment later, the god lifted another blade from the water—this one sleek and silvery, forged of a rare metal Diablo had only heard about in stories. Even from a distance, he could feel its weight and balance. A weapon like that could turn the tides of battle.

"Then perhaps this one belongs to you?" the god asked.

Diablo hesitated for half a heartbeat—who wouldn't?—but he still shook his head.

"No. That one isn't mine either."

This time, the Pond God's expression changed. Just slightly. The faintest hint of approval rippled across his fluid face.

Finally, the water parted again, and the god held out a simple iron sword—old, cracked, and familiar. Diablo's heart lifted.

"That one," he said, stepping forward. "That's mine."

The Pond God extended the weapon toward him.

"Then take what is yours."

As Diablo reached for the sword, the pond glowed faintly. When he grasped the hilt, the water god placed the other two swords beside it.

Diablo stared.

"I… I thought those weren't mine?"

The Pond God's voice resonated like a soft tide.

"Honesty holds value here.

You chose your own path without greed.

So take all three.

You have earned them."

Arjit nods behind Diablo. Just as original.

But then the pond god looked at Arjit.

Like signaling him to come in the pond.
