Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 ⥤ Celestial Drake! Returning to the Blue Sea

Noyer grabbed Enel like a bandit and asked, "Big Guy… I need to talk to you about something."

Hearing his intimate way of addressing him, Enel was so scared that goosebumps covered his skin. He stammered, "Wh-what do you want?"

Having been defeated once, the negative effect of 〔Arrogant False God〕 temporarily disappeared, so his intelligence was now working properly.

Enel understood clearly that this ridiculously strong man grinning shamelessly at him definitely had nothing good in mind.

Noyer rubbed his fingers together and said casually, "I heard… you secretly built a ship that can fly?"

Enel's face stiffened, and he hastily denied it, "Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Why would I build that thing?!"

His excuse was weak. Everyone present remained silent, looking at him like he was a fool.

Noyer kindly combed Enel's hair with his Cursed Blade and said, "Will you take me there personally… or…"

Enel decisively gave in, clasping his hands to the side, "I know where it is. Please follow me!"

Refusing to give up until the very end, Noyer smirked and quickly followed Enel, who was leading the way.

Wyper gripped Enel's shoulder hard with his gauntlet containing Kairōseki, eliminating any thought of escape.

Enel led Noyer and the others into the depths of his palace.

Inside was a huge space. In the hall, a giant ship stood with many small-winged Skypieans working nearby.

When the Skypieans saw Enel enter the palace, their weary faces immediately filled with fear. But when they saw his miserable state and the people behind him, they became joyful.

"Lord Gan Fall!"

"Has the former God come to rescue us?"

"Was Enel defeated by Lord Gan Fall?!"

The Skypieans rejoiced. Guilt appeared on Gan Fall's face as he put down his lance and bowed deeply to everyone.

He said shamefully, "Everyone, the one who defeated Enel and saved you all is this adventurer from the Blue Sea. From this day forward, Enel will no longer be called God, and Shandia and Angel Island will no longer invade each other."

Gan Fall explained this to his people, but the Skypieans had long stopped caring about ownership of the Island of Gods. After years of imprisonment building the ark, they simply wanted to live peacefully with their families.

Wyper's expression was complex — deep hatred mixed with wariness toward the Skypieans and pity for their suffering.

Everyone felt deeply grateful to Noyer, kneeling on the ground with tears streaming down their faces.

Noyer didn't care about their gratitude. He looked at the Ark Maxim with dissatisfaction, "This ship is really ugly…"

Wyper, who had no aesthetic sense, couldn't help but chime in, "Aside from being big and able to fly, there's nothing good-looking about it."

Enel, struck by the aesthetic criticism, turned red and roared in embarrassment, "As long as it works! Only shallow mortals care about appearance!"

Bang!

Noyer's love-filled iron fist pounded Enel's forehead hard, teaching him to behave on the spot. The bump on his head was steaming.

Noyer casually withdrew his hand and turned to the Skypiean shipbuilders, "How's this ship? Is it fixed now?"

The Skypiean residents assigned by Enel to build the ship said awkwardly, "The basic structure is almost done, but the ship is too large and the workload is immense, so the time might…"

Noyer pointed at the ark, "What if we make it smaller? Just a ship for a dozen or so people to live on."

The Skypiean residents were stunned, "If we make it small enough and slightly reduce the flying performance, it can be repaired and ready to sail in one month."

Noyer nodded with satisfaction, "Good. Can you do me a favor? After you see your families, help me modify this ship. Make it look better."

The Skypiean residents quickly agreed. Noyer had saved their lives, and he'd defeated Enel — this favor had to be done.

With everything arranged, Noyer finally felt at ease. He followed Gan Fall back to Angel Island and informed everyone that Enel had been defeated.

Wyper returned to Hidden Cloud Village, where his Shandia tribe lived, and told the chief about the golden bell.

The Shandia chief and Gan Fall negotiated again. This time, with Noyer backing them up and keeping the peace, the leaders finally reached a consensus.

Angel Island and Upper Yard were both on the White Sea, but they would not be unified. Future exchanges between the two sides would not be blocked.

That said, the hatred accumulated over so many years couldn't be resolved quickly. The two sides would still go through a long cold period.

But at least the war had stopped. The rest could only be solved by themselves. Noyer wasn't their nanny — how things developed was no longer his concern.

『 Ding! Host has Successfully Rewritten an Important Plot Point! Rewards: Universal Copy Card ×1, Customizable Exclusive Sky Island Generation Opportunity ×1! 』

Changed the plot?

Noyer was stunned. He'd almost forgotten that changing the plot gave rewards from the system.

But didn't he also change the plot when he killed Wapol? Why was there no reward then?

The Skypiea Arc had unfolded differently from the original story. Shandia and Angel Island remained separate, and key characters like Enel and Wyper were about to join him on his journey to the Blue Sea.

Was the change not significant enough?

Noyer shook his head and stopped overthinking it. He turned his attention to examining this unusual reward.

A Sky Island generation opportunity? Did this mean he could create a Sky Island from nothing?

Incredible! Noyer excitedly extended his consciousness into the system, and a prompt appeared:

「 Does the host wish to customize and generate an exclusive Sky Island here? 」

「 Warning! Cannot be withdrawn after generation! 」

Noyer quickly pulled back. No, this wasn't the right place for a Sky Island.

Besides, he had no immediate use for it. Once he had his own territory, he could deploy it then.

Pleased with his reward, Noyer picked up his coffee and savored it slowly. With nowhere else to be on Angel Island, he was staying at Pagaya's house.

Robin emerged from a nearby room and said with a smile, "Captain, Conis wants to come to the Blue Sea with us. Will you allow it?"

Noyer was stunned, then delighted.

"Wonderful! Did you convince her?" He looked at her expectantly.

Robin sat down beside him, gently stroking the little cloud fox Su dozing on the table, "Conis wants to see the Blue Sea herself. No convincing needed."

Noyer couldn't be more satisfied.

The Skypiea journey had reached its conclusion — and what a complete journey it had been.

◇◆◈◆◇

A month flew by. During that time, Pagaya took Noyer to explore many places.

The beauties of Skypiea were truly stunning. Noyer's eyes were dazzled throughout.

As for Robin — since the day she kissed him, their relationship hadn't progressed much.

He wanted to take things further, but whenever he stood before her, the best he could manage after a long silence was, "Have you eaten yet?"

While their romantic progress moved slowly, the ship construction raced ahead. In less than a month, a magnificent sailing vessel stood before Noyer.

The hull was crafted entirely from blue and white wood in Skypiea's distinctive style. The stern featured Breath Dials — Skypiea's specialty — for extra acceleration.

At Noyer's request, the bow was shaped like a dragon's head. Skypiea's master shipbuilders had remodeled the interior, equipping it with all necessary rooms and amenities.

The original Ark Maxim had been covered in gold like a nouveau riche. Now, the gold adorned the interior instead, making the cabin look luxurious and noble.

Best of all, the power system remained intact and could still support free flight.

Noyer jumped excitedly onto the Ark Maxim. Inspired by the Thousand Sunny, he'd laid a decorative layer across the deck.

Instead of grass, though, it was covered with Skypiea's processed specialty — soft, fluffy Island Clouds.

Noyer rolled across the cloud-covered deck, resting his head on his arm contentedly, "Now this is the life…"

Robin stomped on the clouds beneath her feet and smiled, "This way, even after we leave Skypiea, we can still feel the clouds."

Conis stood rather stiffly on the Ark Maxim, holding the cloud fox Su. Robin quickly led her away to tour the ship.

Wyper sat in a corner with bandages wrapped around his arm, his expression cold.

A few days ago, Shandia had held a ceremony to ring the golden bell. As the bell ringer, Wyper had used his bare fists to strike the massive bell.

Its sound resonated through the heavens — almost everyone on Skypiea could hear it, and even people in the Blue Sea.

Wyper hadn't stopped until his fists were bloody and mangled.

In Noyer's words, the guy was a blockhead. Of all the methods available, he just had to use his fists.

But Wyper showed no concern for his injuries. Having completed his mission, he let out a long breath. Then he voluntarily sought out Noyer and officially joined his crew.

As for Enel…

That guy had tried to use his abilities to slip away when Noyer wasn't looking, but Noyer caught him in time.

After a thorough beating, Noyer devised a brilliant solution — he soaked him in water. Nearly a month passed before Noyer remembered the guy was still submerged.

Enel was furious but didn't dare speak out. When he saw the remodeled Maxim, he nearly fainted.

His years of hard work — ruined beyond recognition!

Noyer locked him in the power supply room at the bottom of the ship, turning the "Big Road Brand Power Bank" into a permanent electricity source for the Maxim.

The Ark Maxim — now renamed the Celestial Drake — descended from the White Sea and sailed slowly toward Skypiea's exit.

Conis held Su with tears in her eyes, bidding farewell to her father. Wyper stood at the ship's edge, solemnly watching his Shandian compatriots see them off.

On the shore, Raki held Aisa's hand, gazing at Wyper with reluctance. Even the gossip-loving Noyer wanted to ask about their relationship.

Gan Fall led everyone to the exit. Ahead lay the nearly ninety-degree Cloud Sea waterfall.

The old man looked at Noyer and shouted, "Master Noyer! Please don't ever bring Enel back again!"

Hearing this from the ship's bottom, Enel nearly spat blood. He thought sadly to himself, "Goodbye, my youth…"

Noyer gave Gan Fall a sailor's salute. Under everyone's watchful gaze, the ship plunged headfirst into the White Sea below, rushing straight down toward the Blue Sea.

"Goodbye!"

"Come back to visit often!"

"Except for Enel!"

Under the enthusiastic farewell of Skypiea's residents, Celestial Drake plunged downward without hesitation, heading toward the Blue Sea and its many adventures.

When Noyer had ascended to Skypiea, there were only two people. Now returning to the Blue Sea, they had become five people and one fox.

He gripped the ship's railing, walked into a room, and picked up Skypiea's Tone Dial to shout, "Big Road! Power up!"

Enel sat despondently in the supply room. Hearing that detestable command, he didn't dare disobey. Blue light flashed from his body as electric current transmitted through the ship's systems to the entire hull.

Two rows of small holes opened on both sides of the ship. After receiving energy, two rows of oars extended, and the propellers on the ship's sides began spinning frantically.

The Celestial Drake stabilized in the air, then slowly flew off in a certain direction.

In the helm room, Wyper gripped the wheel.

Noyer raised his hand to check the Log Pose. Finding no problems, he called out to Enel, "Keep supplying power. Once Celestial Drake lands in the Blue Sea, you can rest."

Enel, treated as unpaid labor, had long since gone numb and supplied energy without a word.

It wasn't that he hadn't thought of resisting. He'd even considered using his abilities to threaten Noyer, making it impossible to control the ship.

But Noyer had unleashed his own Divine Punishment right in front of him, and Enel was done for.

This wasn't giving in — this was enduring humiliation to accomplish great things!

Once the crew let their guard down, he could seize the opportunity to escape.

Of course, Noyer had thought of this too. Enel wasn't loyal — that was obvious. He didn't expect to subdue this arrogant guy with just one beating.

Guarding against Enel was simple. Noyer just needed to find some Kairōseki to seal his abilities. Without it for now, he could only use the old method.

Whenever it was nighttime or no one was watching, just stuff him in a water tank. What was there to fear?

Hmm… I really am a genius!

{T/N: Not really, since he could have simply gotten some from the Shandians. Man, Wyper used Kairōseki, he just needed to ask him.}

Enel didn't yet know that when everyone relaxed their vigilance, he'd meet his watery doom.

Wyper had changed his outfit — no longer a native with a bare upper body and grass skirt.

He wore a blue short-sleeved shirt and baggy shorts. Combined with his expression, he looked like a mobster vacationing in Hawaii.

Conis and Robin chatted on the deck. Noyer lay contentedly in a chair, sunbathing with a little fox wearing sunglasses in his arms.

After his guidance, Wyper had learned some introductory Armament Haki techniques and was now in the training room working out.

Everyone looked harmonious — except for a certain lonely god at the bottom of the ship, silently generating electricity.
