I opened my eyes, finding myself suspended in a White Void. I strained my sight, searching for any landmark, but there was only endless, featureless white.
Seo Yeon: "So, this is what I get for saving a cat from a truck? Wow. Just... wow."
Then, a system window materialized before me.
System: "Hello Host (\wedge o\wedge)"
I stood there for several minutes, trying to process the glowing window.
System: "Host?"
Seo Yeon: "H-hi?"
System: "Hello Host!"
Seo Yeon: "Um... Am I going to Heaven?"
System: "Nope."
Seo Yeon: "So I'm going to Hell!?"
System: "Nope. You are going into your novel: The Saintess and the Goddess."
Seo Yeon: "Huh?"
System: "10, 20, 30... cough... 100!"
Seo Yeon: "Wait, wait!"
System: "We will meet again, Host."
A crushing sensation overwhelmed me, and I fainted. A few minutes later, I heard a voice: "Well done. It's a girl." Then, I felt a soft touch. I forced my eyes open and saw a beautiful woman with pink hair, red eyes, and pale white skin.
Maid 1: "The young lady isn't crying."
Maid 2: "Yes, that's not normal."
I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep. I next woke up in a crib.
Seo Yeon (Internal Monologue): (At this point, what the actual f-ck is going on? I can't move or turn my head. I can't even talk. I'm completely helpless, and I'm trapped in a novel I wrote when I was twelve! This makes no goddamn sense! F-ck, f-ck, why the f-ck did I save that stupid cat, damn it!)
The door creaked open, and I heard footsteps. My heart hammered. If someone wanted to kill me, I couldn't do a thing. I did not want to die. Then I saw a man and a butler. The man had silver hair, blue eyes, and fair skin.
Man: "So, this is the new child?"
Butler: "Yes, Lord La Verta."
Seo Yeon (Internal Monologue): (Wait, did he say La Verta?)
Butler: "What will be her name?"
Seo Yeon (Internal Monologue): (Huh?)
Man: "Rose..."
Butler: "As my lord commands."
Seo Yeon (Internal Monologue): (Rose La Verta... the extra...?)
They soon left.
The next day, as a maid changed my clothes, I pondered my new family. Duke La Verta, the head of the La Verta family and the Empire's Sword. He has two sons and one daughter. So, I have two brothers and one sister.
When I was dressed, my maid carried me out to meet my family. At the dining table, Father sat at the head. It seemed my mother, Diana La Verta, would not be joining us; I recall she died from an illness. I was going to be seated next to my sister, Lisa La Verta. My brothers, Rami La Verta, the oldest, and Jeremy La Verta, the second oldest, sat on the opposite side. Both had silver hair, blue eyes, and fair skin—they looked almost like twins. Lisa La Verta had pink hair and blue eyes. As for me, based on what the maids said, I had silver hair and red eyes.
My brothers sat stiffly on the other side of the table. As the maid fed me, my Father stared at me the entire time. Neither my brothers nor my sister even glanced my way.
Rose (Internal Monologue): (Around this time, the Female lead would have been with her aunt. It looks like I won't meet her until the Academy.)
⏳ Time Skip: 5 Years Later
Five years passed, and my brothers, sister, and father still gave me the same cold shoulder. Now, I am five, and I can finally walk and talk. Rami is now in his fifth year at the Academy.
Today, I was attending a tea party for children my age. My maid and I got into the carriage, ready to go to the palace to meet the Crown Prince and Princess.
We arrived at the palace gate and were let in. As we stepped out of the carriage, we saw a tall boy who looked to be in his teens, with black hair and red eyes. That was the sub male lead in the novel. Just by looking at him, he seemed close to becoming a Sword Master, just like my father.
Louis: "Well, well, Dean, how are you?"
Dean: "I am fine, sir."
Rose (Internal Monologue): (He didn't even look at me.)
Louis: "The Princess is waiting for you."
Dean: "Oh, thank you."
Maid: "Allow me to take you there, my lady."
As the maid guided me to meet the Princess, I looked around at the walls, adorned with paintings of Kings and Queens. The maid opened a door. I saw a girl the same age as me, with black hair and red eyes, just like her brother. She was also a character from my novel. Vivian, a very smart but shy girl who, in the end, would make a deal with Dean, one of the leaders of Hell ranked fourth. She would ultimately die at the hands of her own brother, the one who killed her.
Rose: (But she looks so cute.) "Hi, my name is Rose La Verta. I hope we can become good friends."
Vivian: "No."
Rose (Internal Monologue): (What?)
Vivian: "Maid, take her out."
Maid: "Yes, my lady."
Rose (Internal Monologue): (Bruh.)
Rose: "Well, then I shall take my leave."
I left to find my Father, who was in the training hall. When I arrived, I saw him standing by the wall, watching Dean practice with his sword. Then, a man ran up to my Father, told him something quickly, and left, seeing there was nothing else to be done.
Rose (Internal Monologue): (Now that I think about it, didn't a mid-rank devil attack the palace and injure everyone here? Some people even died.) I think Louis and Dean were both present.
Suddenly, a man passed right through the wall. I stood there, frozen in shock. Then, a demon with a black suit, no eyes, and a white complexion materialized from the breach.
Demon: "Where is the holder?"
I couldn't move a muscle. The demon then punched me square in the chest, tearing a hole in my body. As I fell to the ground, the demon began to walk away. It hadn't gone far when time stopped.
The System appeared in front of me.
