Chapter 20 - Demolition Man

Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Second Quarter, Final Attack. Time: 01:12.

The clock was winding down, signaling the imminent halftime whistle. The score was 14:0, but the true measure of the game was the utter, agonizing psychological defeat of the Dallas Cowboys. The stadium was a tomb, its silence a testament to Levi's absolute dominance. The air was heavy with the smell of scorched earth and the metallic tang of fear.

The Cowboys' spirit was utterly extinguished. They gained possession but quickly punted the ball away, sacrificing yardage for the immediate safety and sanctuary of their locker room.

The 49ers took over deep in their own territory. Levi knew this drive was not about yardage; it was the final, symbolic act of the half—a declaration that would resonate far beyond the league's boundaries.

On the Cowboys' sideline, Linebacker Captain Brock, the last flicker of the team's moral compass, could endure the humiliation no more. He charged onto the field, his helmet flying off, his eyes burning with defiant fury. "Enough! Give me the ball! I'll stop him!" he roared, addressing his retreating teammates. "If he wants to break me, let him! But we will fight! We will not surrender this way!"

Brock stood alone in the center of the field, roaring defiance, presenting the most perfect, textbook tackling posture of his career.

Levi, taking the handoff, saw the warrior's resolve in Brock's stance. For the first time all day, he felt a genuine pang of respect—not contempt, but acknowledgment of a worthy opponent. "That is a man," he acknowledged internally.

But respect could not temper the necessity of his declaration.

Levi accelerated, transforming into a red, unstoppable missile aimed directly at Brock.

CRUNCH!

Brock, despite his perfect form and courage, felt like he had collided with a supersonic magnetic levitation train. His body instantly lost all function and sensory input, flying backward like a discarded rag. He hit the ground hard, instantly losing consciousness. The sacrifice was complete, but the collision was devastating.

The Ultimate Declaration: Beyond the Game.

Levi did not hesitate. Having fulfilled the obligation to honor Brock's challenge, he executed a sudden, violent change of direction, tossing the ball high into the air. His final target was now in sight: the massive, twenty-foot-tall, steel goalpost towering over the endzone.

"He's running past the end zone! What is he doing?!" the commentator shrieked, his voice dissolving into confused hysteria. "He's not carrying the ball! He's attacking the equipment!"

On the sideline, Dr. Sophie Vance's hands flew to her mouth, her eyes wide with a deep, paralyzing horror. She remembered Levi's arrogant joke from training: "This stadium is too small. It cannot hold the weak."

Levi put his body into a full, spinning drill, focusing all his Diamond Form power on one point: the goalpost's base—the weakest weld of the multi-ton steel structure.

KRAKATOOM—!!!

The sound was a cataclysmic, deafening roar, drowning out all other sound in the stadium. It was the apocalyptic shriek of thick steel being forcibly, violently separated. A massive wave of kinetic energy erupted from the contact point. The steel upright, designed to withstand atmospheric stress and high winds, instantly buckled, deformed, and snapped clean at the base.

KA-RASH!

The towering goalpost and crossbar collapsed onto the turf with a thunderous, violent roar, sending up a massive cloud of dust, smoke, and shredded turf. The goalpost—the sacred symbol of the game's objective—was now a shattered, twisted ruin. Spectators behind the end zone screamed, scrambling in pure, visceral panic.

Levi stood amidst the smoke and ruins, adjusting his suit collar, a terrifying, silent figure—a god of war emerging from the devastation.

"Halftime is over," Levi announced, his voice carrying an unchallengeable, chilling authority across the stadium.

He walked over to the unconscious Brock. "You fought well. You earned my respect. Your integrity is noted."

Then, he looked up, addressing the empty space where the goalpost had stood, directing his gaze at Goodell's distant box. He pointed to the shattered goalpost.

"Tell your Commissioner this stadium is too small."

"It cannot hold the weak!"

The score, tallied from the successful drive moments before the demolition, was set at 49ers 20:0 Cowboys. The terrified referee crew, seeing the devastation, announced the game was immediately over due to "Field Safety Hazard." The Cowboys were TKO'd by a demolition project.

The Global Threat: The Hunter Arrives.

High in the private VIP box, Observer-03, the man in the black hat, lowered his binoculars. His mechanical composure was undisturbed, but his eyes conveyed a flicker of intense, chilling confirmation.

The subject is capable of localized modification of physical laws through concentrated force. He is an S-Class anomaly.

"Report to central command," Observer-03 spoke into his hidden mic, his voice colder than steel. "Target Levi. Confirmed S-Class 'Diamond Element'. Conventional weapons and human assets are ineffective."

His mission had escalated from surveillance to immediate capture. He pressed the red button on his concealed device. "Initiate Hunt Plan — Phase Two: Deploy Counter-Element 'Shadow Element'. Objective: Disrupt mind, then capture alive."

Observer-03 rose, a cold, ruthless smile spreading across his face. "The target is no longer a sports threat; he is a Global Threat to the established world order."

"Sir, allow me to personally welcome the 'Diamond' to the true world war." Observer-03 pulled down his hat, disappearing into the shadows of the booth, leaving the shattered stadium behind. The saga of the Gridiron Tyrant was over. The saga of the Diamond Element had just begun.
