Pei Lifu's pupils shrank.
"What?"
Pei Shi smiled bitterly.
"He was right, it was only a matter of time. But I didn't think it would be this soon."
The blood drained from her face.
"Brother?"
He looked out the window.
"I'm sorry."
Tears suddenly welled in her eyes.
"What do you mean?"
He looked back at her.
"My name is Bai Jinhai."
The room was filled with silence. Even though she was suspicious, thinking it and having it being confirmed were two completely different feelings.
For a moment, the world seemed to stop.
Pei Lifu stared at him without blinking.
"You're joking."
"I'm not."
"My brother...where's my brother?"
His hands slowly clenched.
"I don't know. I woke up in this body and thought he had taken mine but after investigating, we still haven't found him."
Her tears finally spilled over.
"So you really aren't him?"
"No"
Pei Lifu staggered back a step. The room around her spun.
