In an enormous chamber, a figure completely shrouded in a black cloak stood in the center, crimson eyes fixed on the colossal throne that sat atop nearly a hundred steps. Beneath the throne lay countless broken and rusted weapons scattered chaotically across the floor, as if painting the aftermath of a brutal war fought over that very seat.
"Lord Im!" An aged voice rang out. An old man appeared behind the cloaked figure and spoke gravely, "Young Master Isis has jumped ship and escaped while the Navy was escorting him to Mary Geoise!"
The person called Im showed almost no emotional ripple in those deep crimson eyes. He merely let out a soft sigh and murmured, "So this child still refuses to become 'King'?"
"Lord Im, shall we dispatch the Navy to pursue him?"
"In which sea did he escape?"
"The closest island is the Island of Music—Elegia!"
"If he is unwilling to become 'King,' then he has no reason to exist."
At those words, the old man's body violently shuddered. He knew exactly what was coming. Trembling uncontrollably, he lowered his head and stared at the floor, not daring to look at Im's back.
One day earlier — Island of Music, Elegia
A young man stood on the shoreline, gazing at the endless blue sea with a speechless expression.
"Where… the hell am I?"
Behind him were the ruins of what had once been a prosperous kingdom—shattered walls and collapsed buildings, clearly destroyed by invasion.
"No matter where this is—I finally got away!"
Isis let out a long breath of relief, his whole body relaxing.
Then his gaze sharpened as he stared at the distant horizon. His expression turned deadly serious. "World Government, Celestial Dragons… just wait. I will drag you down from your altars. This world shouldn't look like this!"

The boy was not originally from this world. After transmigrating, he became Im's son and had been raised for eighteen years as the heir to the "King." He did have a system, but it would only activate once he escaped the World Government's grasp. After eighteen years of waiting, the chance had finally come.

Looking again at the ruined island around him, he muttered in shock, "This… this is Elegia?!"

Isis barely suppressed the urge to curse. "Beginner-level Haki… what level is that exactly?"

A deafening explosion shook the entire island.
Isis whipped around. A massive figure shrouded in black light had appeared in the center of the island. Its limbs were made of piano keys—this was unmistakably the Demon King of Song summoned by Uta!
Isis frowned at the gigantic monster and muttered, "Isn't that… a bit too big?"
While he was still stunned, a bald middle-aged man came running toward him like a madman.
The man didn't seem to notice Isis at first. He stopped nearby and shouted desperately at the monster, "Uta! Wake up! Don't let that thing control you anymore!"
His cries were useless. Instead, they drew the Demon King's attention.
The gigantic piano-key arm swung down toward the man.
The man instinctively raised his arms to shield his head, ready to take the blow with his body.
In the nick of time—Isis flashed forward, tackling the man out of the way. They barely dodged the attack.
The man looked at Isis in shock and finally asked, "Who… who are you?"
Instead of answering, Isis yelled, "Are you an idiot?! You thought you could talk it out of existence?!"
"Please… please save her! Uta is innocent! I beg you, save her!" the man cried.
"Who are you?" Isis asked.
"I am Gordon, king of the former Kingdom of Elegia and the only survivor. That monster is the Demon King of Song summoned because Tot Musica tricked Uta!"
"Ah, got it. So ten years ago, it wasn't Shanks who destroyed this place—it was this thing, right?"
"…" Gordon was stunned that the boy knew the truth so quickly. He nodded heavily. "Yes… but it's not Uta's fault! It's all because of Tot Musica! Please, I beg you—save her!"
"Don't worry. Leave it to me," Isis declared with firm resolve.
