Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: the Story Of Another World

The makeshift meeting room in Capsule Corporation's least-damaged wing was packed.

Every Z-Fighter who could make it had gathered—Regular Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Goten, Trunks, and even Android 18, who had shown up primarily because Krillin wouldn't stop texting her about "the crazy tiny Goku who fought Beerus to a standstill."

Bulma had set up a whiteboard, because apparently even interdimensional story time required proper presentation tools. Chi-Chi had prepared snacks, though she kept shooting suspicious glances at Daima like she wasn't sure if feeding him counted as feeding her husband or not.

Daima sat at the head of the table, still in his child-sized form, looking remarkably uncomfortable with all the attention.

"So," Bulma said, uncapping a marker, "you're from another dimension. A dimension where Dragon Ball Daima happened. And you want to tell us everything."

"That's... the general idea, yeah."

"Then start from the beginning." She pointed the marker at him threateningly. "And don't leave anything out. If I'm going to calculate the dimensional variance in your power scaling, I need COMPLETE data."

Daima blinked. "You want to calculate my power scaling?"

"I'm a scientist. It's what I do."

She's going to love this, Daima thought. Or hate it. Possibly both.

He took a deep breath.

"Okay. So. In my dimension, everything was normal—well, normal for a Dragon Ball universe—until a guy named Gomah showed up."

"Gomah?" Vegeta frowned. "Never heard of him."

"You wouldn't have. He's from the Demon Realm. He was the Supreme Kai's brother—or, well, Shin's brother. The Supreme Kai of this timeline. In my dimension, Shin had a brother who got exiled to the Demon Realm ages ago because he was evil."

Piccolo leaned forward, his interest piqued. "The Supreme Kai has a brother? That's never been mentioned before."

"In your timeline, maybe it hasn't come up yet. In mine, it became a VERY big deal." Daima shifted in his seat. "Gomah wanted to steal the Demon Realm Dragon Balls—a set of Dragon Balls created specifically for the Demon Realm. But to do that, he needed to get past the guardians. And to get past the guardians without dying, he needed warriors who could fight them."

"So he recruited you?" Gohan asked.

"No. He CHEATED." Daima's expression darkened with remembered frustration. "Gomah used a wish to turn me and Vegeta into kids. And not just us—he turned Shin into a kid too. The Supreme Kai, reduced to a child. Our power was supposed to be diminished, made manageable. Gomah thought he could manipulate us while we were weakened."

Vegeta's eyebrow twitched violently. "Someone wished ME into a CHILD?"

"Yep."

"And I allowed this to happen?"

"You didn't exactly have a choice. The wish happened while we were off-guard." Daima couldn't help a small smirk. "You were NOT happy about it."

"I can imagine," Vegeta growled, his fists clenching on the table.

Regular Goku, meanwhile, looked thoughtful. "So you were a kid, and Vegeta was a kid, and the Supreme Kai was a kid... that sounds kind of fun, actually!"

"KAKAROT!"

"What? Being a kid again means you get to have adventures! And eat without worrying about adult stuff!"

"We were WISHED INTO WEAKNESS by an ENEMY, you absolute—"

"ANYWAY," Daima interrupted before the argument could escalate, "Gomah had a partner. A demon named Glorio. Or at least, we THOUGHT he was Gomah's partner."

Over the next two hours, Daima laid out the entire story of his dimension's events.

He explained how he, Kid Vegeta, and Kid Shin had traveled through the Demon Realm with Glorio as their guide—initially believing Glorio was leading them into a trap, but slowly realizing the demon had his own agenda.

He described the structure of the Demon Realm: the First Demon Realm at the surface, relatively civilized but still dangerous; the Second Demon Realm below, where true monsters dwelt; and the Third Demon Realm at the bottom, a place of pure primordial chaos where even demons feared to tread.

"Three layers of reality," Whis murmured. He had arrived partway through the explanation, having left Beerus napping on his planet. "That matches certain ancient records about dimensional structure. The Demon Realm has always been something of a mystery, even to angels."

Daima nodded and continued.

He told them about Panzy—the daughter of the First Demon Realm's king. A demon princess who had joined their group and provided crucial assistance throughout their journey.

"Wait," Trunks interrupted, "there's a demon PRINCESS? Is she cool? Does she fight?"

"She's... complicated. She started out seeming like a spoiled royal, but she ended up being really brave. She helped us a lot."

"Cool!"

Daima moved on to the Tamagami—the guardians of the Demon Realm Dragon Balls. Powerful beings created specifically to protect each Dragon Ball from those who would misuse them.

"I fought Tamagami Number Three for the First Demon Realm Dragon Ball," Daima explained. "It was... intense. These weren't normal enemies. They were specifically designed to test warriors, to push them to their absolute limits."

"How strong were they compared to threats we've faced?" Gohan asked analytically.

Daima considered the question carefully. "Tamagami Number Three was probably around... Super Saiyan 3 level? Maybe a bit higher. Strong enough that I had to go all-out to beat it."

"And you were in a weakened child form at the time," Piccolo observed. "Impressive."

"The child form wasn't actually as much of a weakness as Gomah thought," Daima admitted. "Our power was compressed, not diminished. Like... okay, imagine squeezing a balloon. The air inside doesn't disappear—it just gets pressurized. That's what the wish did to our power. We were smaller, but our energy density was actually HIGHER."

Bulma was scribbling furiously on her whiteboard. "Compressed power... higher energy density... that would explain why your Super Saiyan 4 Mini was hitting harder than it should have for a body that size!"

"Exactly!"

The story continued.

Daima described the arrival of Kid Vegeta, Kid Piccolo, and Kid Bulma—all of them also affected by Gomah's wish, though they had arrived in the Demon Realm through different means.

"I was a kid too?!" Bulma shrieked. "That MONSTER!"

"You adapted pretty quickly," Daima assured her. "Your scientific skills weren't affected by the age regression. You just... had smaller hands and a shorter temper."

"I already have a short temper!"

"It got shorter."

He told them about Neva—the Namekian who had created the Demon Realm Dragon Balls. A being older than anyone they had ever encountered, who had crafted the wish-granting orbs for his own mysterious purposes.

"Another set of Dragon Balls," Piccolo said quietly. "Created by a Namekian. That tracks with what we know about our own Dragon Balls' origins."

"Neva was different from Kami or Dende, though. He was... darker. More pragmatic. The Demon Realm Dragon Balls don't have the same limitations as the Earth or Namekian sets. They can grant wishes that our Dragon Balls can't—or won't."

"Such as?" Vegeta demanded.

"The wish that turned us into kids, for one. Our Dragon Balls probably wouldn't have allowed that without consent. The Demon Realm Dragon Balls don't care about consent."

That sobering thought hung in the air for a moment.

Daima pushed on, describing Vegeta's battle against Tamagami Number Two.

"That fight was where Vegeta went Super Saiyan 3 for the first time in our dimension," Daima said, watching the Vegeta of this timeline carefully. "The Tamagami was overwhelming him. Nothing he threw at it worked. He was getting beaten down, pushed to his absolute limit..."

"And then?" Vegeta asked, his voice tight with something that might have been jealousy or hunger or both.

"And then he got REALLY angry. Something about the Tamagami mocking Saiyan pride. You know how you get when people insult Saiyans."

"I have NEVER—"

"You literally tried to blow up the Earth once because Goku beat you in a fight."

"...Continue your story."

"Anyway, the rage triggered the transformation. Super Saiyan 3, full power, in a compressed child body. The Tamagami didn't stand a chance after that."

Regular Goku was practically bouncing in his seat. "Vegeta went Super Saiyan 3?! In your dimension, Vegeta has Super Saiyan 3?!"

"Had. Has. Will have?" Daima scratched his head. "Timelines are confusing. But yeah, in my dimension, Vegeta achieved Super Saiyan 3 during that fight and has been able to use it ever since."

Every eye in the room turned to this timeline's Vegeta, who was staring at Daima with an expression of naked want.

"How," the Prince of Saiyans said flatly. "Tell me exactly how he achieved it."

"I... honestly don't know the specifics. I wasn't inside his head. All I saw was him getting really angry, really fast, and then his hair suddenly got a LOT longer."

"THAT'S NOT HELPFUL!"

"I'm just telling you what I saw!"

The story grew darker as Daima described the journey to the Second Demon Realm.

He told them about Gomah's army—hordes of demons loyal to the would-be tyrant, each more twisted and powerful than the last. He described battles that pushed even their compressed child forms to the breaking point.

And then he got to the part about Shin's brother.

"Gomah wasn't working alone," Daima said, his voice becoming somber. "He had a partner. The Supreme Kai's brother—Shin's brother. A being who had been exiled to the Demon Realm eons ago because of his evil nature."

"What was his name?" Shin asked. The Supreme Kai had arrived at some point during the story, having sensed the disturbance caused by Daima's earlier fight with Beerus. He looked deeply troubled.

"I... don't remember if he ever said it. We just called him 'the brother' or 'the evil Kai.' He was powerful, though. Kai-level powerful, but twisted by millennia in the Demon Realm."

Shin's hands trembled slightly. "And what did he do?"

Daima hesitated. This was the worst part.

"He threatened to kill Dende."

Silence.

"Baby Dende," Daima clarified. "Gomah's wish had affected more than just us. Dende—the Guardian of Earth in my dimension—was also turned into an infant. Completely helpless. And the evil Kai used him as leverage."

Piccolo's face went pale green. "Dende... as a baby..."

"He was okay in the end!" Daima said quickly. "We saved him! But it was close. Really close. The evil Kai didn't care about anything except getting what he wanted, and he was willing to murder an infant to make his point."

"How did you stop him?" Gohan asked, his own protective instincts clearly triggered by the thought of a baby being threatened.

"We fought. All of us. Kid Vegeta, Kid Piccolo, me, everyone who had made it that far. It was a mess—we were outgunned, outpowered, and the evil Kai had Dende as a hostage." Daima's expression became distant. "But then Glorio showed his true colors."

"The demon who was guiding you?"

"He wasn't really on Gomah's side. He had his own agenda the whole time. When it came down to the wire, he helped us. Distracted the evil Kai long enough for us to rescue Dende and turn the fight around."

The story took another turn as Daima described Gomah's acquisition of the Evil Third Eye.

"Every king of the Demon Realm wears something called the Third Eye," Daima explained. "It's not just a title—it's a physical artifact. A source of power that enhances the wearer's abilities exponentially. When Gomah got his hands on it..."

He shuddered.

"He became a monster. Literally. The Third Eye transformed him into this giant creature with seemingly infinite stamina and magic. Nothing we threw at him worked. He just kept regenerating, kept fighting, kept getting STRONGER."

"Infinite stamina?" Whis raised an eyebrow. "That's a significant claim."

"I'm not exaggerating. We hit him with everything we had—Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta, Piccolo's best attacks, my own transformed state—and he just kept coming. The Third Eye made him functionally immortal as long as he was wearing it."

"How do you beat an immortal opponent?" Krillin asked nervously.

"That's where Majin Kuu and Duu came in."

"Majin WHAT?"

Daima explained the origins of Majin Kuu and Majin Duu—artificial Majins created by a scientist named Dr. Arinsu.

"They were like... Majin Buu, but different. Created in a lab using research based on the original Majin Buu's biology. Kuu was pink like Buu, but more... refined? Intelligent? And Duu was darker, more aggressive."

"Someone MADE new Majins?!" Gohan exclaimed. "After everything we went through with Buu?!"

"Different dimension, remember. In my timeline, someone thought it would be a GREAT idea to try and recreate one of the most dangerous beings in the universe." Daima rolled his eyes. "Scientists, am I right?"

"HEY!" Bulma protested.

"Present company excluded. Mostly."

He described how Kuu and Duu had initially been enemies—or at least, obstacles. But when Gomah with the Third Eye threatened to destroy everything, even the artificial Majins recognized that they had to work together.

"It was wild," Daima said. "Super Saiyan 3 Kid Vegeta, Kid Piccolo, me, Glorio, Panzy, and TWO artificial Majins all teaming up against one guy. And we were STILL losing."

"How is that possible?" Vegeta demanded. "That much power concentrated against a single opponent—"

"The Third Eye wasn't just enhancing Gomah. It was connected to the Demon Realm itself. He was drawing power from an entire dimension. Every attack we landed, he healed instantly. Every time we thought we had him, he adapted."

"So how did you win?"

Daima smiled.

"Neva."

"The Namekian who created the Demon Realm Dragon Balls?" Piccolo asked, intrigued.

"Yeah. He'd been watching the whole fight. Observing. And when things looked completely hopeless, he stepped in. Not to fight—he was too old for that. But to unlock something."

Daima held up his hand, and for a moment, a flicker of crimson energy danced across his small fingers.

"He unlocked Super Saiyan 4 Mini for me."

"Unlocked it?" Gohan leaned forward. "You mean it was already inside you, just... dormant?"

"Something like that. Neva could see the potential in my Saiyan biology—the path that led to Super Saiyan 4. In our regular timeline, it would have taken years of training and specific circumstances to achieve. But Neva... he had techniques. Knowledge. He could force the evolution, trigger the transformation manually."

"That's incredibly dangerous," Whis observed. "Forcing a transformation that the body isn't ready for could cause permanent damage."

"I know. But we didn't have a choice. Gomah was about to win. The entire Demon Realm was going to fall, and after that, he'd move on to our universe." Daima's expression hardened. "So I took the risk."

He described the first Super Saiyan 4 Mini transformation—the red fur covering his child-sized body, the golden eyes, the surge of primal power that felt like coming HOME.

"It still wasn't enough to beat Third Eye Gomah," Daima admitted. "But it was enough to turn the tide. Enough to give everyone else an opening."

"That's when Glorio used the Dragon Balls," Daima continued. "He'd been collecting them throughout our journey, waiting for the right moment. And when Gomah was finally distracted, focused on fighting me in Super Saiyan 4 Mini, Glorio made his wish."

"What did he wish for?" Goku asked breathlessly.

"He wished us back into our adult bodies."

The room went quiet.

"Just like that?" Bulma asked. "A wish to reverse the original wish?"

"The Demon Realm Dragon Balls are more powerful than ours, remember? They could grant what our Dragon Balls couldn't. And Glorio used that power to restore what Gomah had taken from us."

Daima closed his eyes, remembering.

"One second I was a kid, fighting at maybe... thirty percent of my true potential? And the next second, I was an adult again. Full power. FULL access to everything I had before, plus everything I'd gained during the journey."

"And Vegeta?"

"Same thing. He went from Kid Super Saiyan 3 to ADULT Super Saiyan 3. The power difference was... staggering."

Daima described the final battle with reverence.

"Adult Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta hit Gomah with everything he had. A Final Flash that he poured his entire soul into. He called it the 'Final Final Flash'—a double naming that Trunks made fun of him for later, but in the moment, it was DEVASTATING."

"Did it work?" Trunks asked eagerly, clearly invested in his dimensional father's moment of glory.

"Almost. It nearly beat Gomah. Should have beaten Gomah. The attack was so powerful that even with the Third Eye's regeneration, he was barely holding together." Daima's expression fell. "But 'almost' isn't 'completely.' Gomah healed at the last second. The Third Eye pulled enough power from the Demon Realm to restore him just before the Final Final Flash would have finished him off."

Vegeta's fist slammed into the table, leaving a dent. "Of course. Of COURSE even in another dimension, I fall short at the crucial moment."

"You didn't fall short," Daima said firmly. "You gave everything you had. You pushed Super Saiyan 3 beyond what anyone thought was possible. It just... wasn't enough. Not against infinite regeneration."

"Then how did you beat him?" Android 18 asked, speaking for the first time. "If Super Saiyan 3 at full adult power wasn't enough, what was?"

Daima smiled.

"Super Saiyan 4. Adult. True. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT."

"Neva's unlock had given me the key," Daima explained. "But using it as a Mini form, in a child body, I was only accessing a fraction of the transformation's true potential. When Glorio's wish restored my adult body..."

He stood up from his chair, his small form straightening with remembered pride.

"Everything came together. The primal Saiyan power that Super Saiyan 4 represented. The combat experience I'd gained throughout the Demon Realm journey. The desperation of fighting for everyone I cared about. The RAGE at what Gomah had put us through."

His aura flickered—just for a moment—that crimson energy bleeding through.

"I transformed. Not into the basic Super Saiyan 4 that GT showed. Something MORE. Something that was specifically MINE. The form you saw me use against Beerus—that's what I achieved in that moment."

"And you beat Gomah?" Goku asked, his eyes shining.

"I beat Gomah. One fight. One transformation. One absolute display of Saiyan power." Daima's smile widened. "He couldn't regenerate fast enough. The Third Eye couldn't pull power quickly enough. I overwhelmed him completely."

He sat back down, suddenly looking tired despite his small form.

"After that... Majin Kuu became the new King of the Demon Realm. The Third Eye chose him as its new bearer. He wasn't evil—just ambitious. And he promised to keep the Demon Realm peaceful, to prevent anyone from using its power to threaten our universe again."

"And everyone lived happily ever after?" Krillin asked hopefully.

"More or less. We went home. Things went back to normal. Until..." Daima gestured at himself. "Until I died in my world and woke up here."

Silence filled the room as everyone processed the story.

Finally, Regular Goku spoke.

"That was AWESOME! You fought demons and guardians and evil Kais and giant regenerating monsters and you went Super Saiyan 4 and saved everyone!" He pumped his fist. "I want to do all of that!"

"Goku, the child version of you nearly DIED multiple times during that adventure," Chi-Chi said flatly.

"But he DIDN'T die! And he got stronger! That's how it works!"

Vegeta stood up, his chair scraping loudly against the floor.

"You." He pointed at Daima. "Your dimensional counterpart achieved Super Saiyan 3 AND Super Saiyan 4. Transformations that I have never reached in this timeline. And according to your story, he did it through extreme combat and emotional triggers."

"That's... accurate, yes."

"Then you WILL train with me. You will help me unlock these forms. I don't care if you're from another dimension or if you're currently the size of a child—you have knowledge that I NEED."

Daima blinked. "You want me to train you?"

"I want you to help me achieve what my counterpart achieved. Super Saiyan 3. Super Saiyan 4. Whatever comes AFTER." Vegeta's eyes burned with determination. "The Prince of all Saiyans will not be left behind by ANY version of myself. Is that understood?"

"I... yeah. Yeah, okay. I can try to help."

"Good."

Vegeta stormed out of the room, presumably to begin training immediately.

Gohan cleared his throat. "I have questions too. Academic questions. About the Demon Realm's structure, the energy systems involved, the nature of the Tamagami—"

"I can answer those. Later, though? I'm still kind of exhausted from the whole 'fighting Beerus' thing."

"Of course. Whenever you're ready."

Piccolo stood as well. "The Namekian who created the Demon Realm Dragon Balls. Neva. You said he could unlock transformations, force evolutions. Is that a technique that could be taught?"

"I don't know. He was incredibly old—older than anything I've ever encountered. His abilities might be unique to him."

"Hmm." Piccolo filed that information away. "We should discuss this further. There may be applications for Namekian development that we haven't considered."

He left, already deep in thought.

One by one, the Z-Fighters filed out, each processing the story in their own way. Bulma was muttering about dimensional physics. Krillin was wondering aloud if he could wish himself stronger. Tien was asking Yamcha if they should start training harder.

Finally, only Regular Goku and Daima remained.

"So," Goku said, sitting down next to his dimensional counterpart. "You lived a whole adventure. Saved a dimension. Became super strong."

"Yeah."

"And now you're here. In our dimension. With all that experience and power."

"Yeah."

Goku grinned. "This is going to be FUN."

Daima couldn't help but smile back. "Yeah. I think it will be."

"Tomorrow, you're teaching me about Super Saiyan 4."

"Tomorrow, I'm SLEEPING. The day after, maybe we can talk about—"

"No, tomorrow. I can't wait that long."

"Goku—"

"TOMORROW!"

Daima sighed. Some things, apparently, were constant across all dimensions.

Goku's impatience was definitely one of them.
