I slammed my office door shut and began stalking across the polished marble floor. My chest felt like a vice was tightening around it with each step. The decision was made, and there was no backing down now. After reviewing all the presentations, I knew exactly who deserved this opportunity.

Her proposal had blown everyone else out of the water, including Lisha's mediocre attempt. Reagan had personally requested I consider his friend Lisha for the position, practically begging me to give her app development idea a chance. Her concept for a global payment system was decent enough, but it lacked the innovation Jade Innovations demanded. We needed something that would revolutionize the market, not just add to the noise.
