Michael's POV
My breathing was rough as I pulled her closer, my arm locked around her waist when she attempted to break free. I refused to release her now, not when desire was consuming me completely.
I had to complete what I'd begun. Her hardened peaks pressed against my chest, practically demanding my focus.
The urge to capture one with my mouth was overwhelming. To swirl my tongue around it, to tease and torment until she curved into me with that intoxicating sound that always destroyed my restraint.
Hell, I craved kissing every inch of her body, tasting her skin.
I yearned to slip my hands down past her waistband.
Would she be slick and ready for me?
I wanted to drown in her touch repeatedly until only we existed in this world.
Why was she blind to it?
Why did she continue resisting this fire that still blazed between us?
Why halt now and reject this connection?
Damn it. I knew I'd been cold these past weeks, but the blame wasn't entirely mine.
