Michael's POV
I positioned myself at the head of the conference table, attempting to concentrate on what should have been a straightforward business presentation. Allyson and Lisha stood before the projection screen, delivering their final proposal for the Aura Project. The amount of preparation they had invested was evident in every slide.
Allyson commanded the room with her presentation skills, though I caught the subtle tremor in her fingers each time she gestured toward the display or flipped through her notes.
Their work was impeccable. Every component had been carefully considered and executed. They had incorporated my suggestions and surpassed what I had originally envisioned. My decision to pair them on this project had proven wise.
Yet as the minutes passed, my concentration began to waver.
Instead of focusing on quarterly projections and market analysis, I found myself studying her.
