Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Is this reasonable?

His gaze swept over the information on the panel, then he looked at the metal-cased pistol in his hand, which didn't even have a paint job.

A strange expression flickered across Luca's face.

He had previously thought that this experimental pistol, manufactured by his own company, looked somewhat familiar.

However, now that the panel prompted it as a [Dominator] pistol, he felt that the pistol's appearance was, at most, only two or three parts similar to the 'Dominator' in the anime.

'So, the so-called core component isn't determined by external similarity?'

'Also, this time the synthesis materials didn't mention energy devices or ammunition. Is it because these items are already included in the accessory core components?'

Various thoughts raced through Luca's mind, but in the end, he temporarily suppressed his urge to explore.

After all, even if he wanted to continue trying to synthesize now, the synthesis materials required for the [Dominator] pistol could not be gathered at home.

There's no way he'd use the brick-sized TV projector at home to substitute for the 'miniature projection device' mentioned on the panel, right?

He glanced at the power indicator displayed on the handle of the ion beam pistol.

Gina had only fired three shots, yet it was already down to its last bar of power.

This was why, despite the pistol's considerable power, almost non-existent recoil, and very slight ion beam decay over medium distances, it was still considered an experimental semi-finished product.

Insufficient energy, poor sustained combat capability.

"Hmm, the high cost should also be one of the reasons."

He tucked the pistol into his embrace; although the [Dominator] pistol couldn't be synthesized for now, it seemed there were materials for another item right on site.

Untying the backpack from his back, Luca fumbled inside.

He pulled out a strangely shaped monkey toy.

The toy held two somewhat comical 'cymbals' in its hands, and a large wind-up key on its back.

A translucent blue panel also popped up on the monkey toy he held.

[Jinx's Monkey Bomb]

[Arcane World 1/5]

[Manufacturer: Jinx]

[Core Component: Toy Monkey]

[Synthesis Consumables: 3 unstable energy crystals]

[Item Description: A toy bomb with a simple structure yet immense power. Its power relies entirely on three hex crystals. Once wound, it begins an unstable countdown. It possesses slow, short-range movement capability and triggers an unstable hex crystal explosion through continuous strikes, with no safety guarantees.]

[Friendly Reminder: Dear~ Before using the bomb, please ensure that none of your relatives or friends are within the explosion range~]

That's right, this toy from his original body's childhood was also a 'core component' that could be synthesized.

Even the synthesis consumables were surprisingly 'simple,' requiring only one type of material.

However, Luca didn't even know what kind of crystal in the real World could be called an 'unstable energy crystal' before this one material.

With the only material nowhere to be found, synthesis was naturally out of the question.

Fortunately, this was not an ordinary real World.

Looking at the two headless Chitauri corpses in his home, a glimmer of excitement flashed in Luca's eyes.

If he remembered correctly, in the Marvel Spider-Man movie, the villain Vulture gained many black tech weapons by salvaging and modifying items left behind by the Chitauri.

Among them, the most common purple energy crystals on the Chitauri were very unstable, even exploding after being scanned by X-rays during security checks.

This purple crystal should be able to meet the requirements of the synthesis panel.

No sooner said than done.

He quickly walked over to the headless corpses, ignoring the bloody mess on the ground, and directly inspected the bodies and weapons.

Both Chitauri were equipped with ordinary folding beam guns; not only was their power not great, but their structure was also quite compact.

Although they emitted a purple light, he couldn't figure out how to disassemble them in a short time.

However, compared to the more complex weapons and armor,

The brightly embedded crystals on the backs of the Chitauri's hands seemed to tell him there was no need to be so troublesome.

After trying to pry off the purple crystal without success, Luca simply picked up the Chitauri's folding beam gun and used its bladed side to directly slash at the Chitauri corpse's wrist.

Two Chitauri corpses, four hands, four purple crystals.

Luca thought for a moment and didn't continue to pry at the crystals with the blade, but instead directly drew a circular magic array on the ground.

The monkey toy, as the core component, was placed in the center of the circle, and the other three Chitauri hands, embedded with purple crystals, were placed in the three corners respectively.

As expected, the three purple crystals successively began to emit a faint White glow.

'It worked!'

Without hesitation, Luca pressed his hands on the edge of the circular array and silently chanted 'synthesize' in his mind.

Immediately after, the light intensified, and the circular array in front of him was instantly enveloped.

When the light disappeared,

A strangely shaped toy monkey, with a blue spherical crystal hanging between its two cymbals and two identical crystals stuffed inside its body, had appeared in the center of the magic array.

The purple crystals originally embedded in the backs of the aliens had vanished, leaving only the neatly cut hands remaining in place.

"Huh? The purple crystals turned into blue crystals?"

Previously, Luca had thought that this seemingly simplest item, after synthesis, might just involve polishing the crystals and placing them in their designated positions.

Now it seemed that no matter what materials he used, the synthesized items would revert to their appearance from the original work.

The original Chitauri purple crystals had actually directly transformed into blue hex crystals!

Why was Luca so sure?

Because at this moment, one of the three blue crystals on the [Monkey Bomb] was once again emitting that unique faint White glow characteristic of a 'core component'!

He carefully picked up the [Monkey Bomb], unscrewed and opened its detachable head, and took out the faintly glowing Hex Core from inside.

The light blue panel reappeared.

[Hex Core]

[Arcane World 2/5]

[Manufacturer: Viktor]

[Core Component: hex crystal]

[Synthesis Consumables: 1 stable small reactor, 4 different magic runes]

[Item Description: A stable, perpetual energy source with magic power, the ultimate aesthetic of Hextech. While possessing endless energy, it also has the ability to gloriously evolve living beings, provided that your body and mind possess the ability to resist the corrosion of arcane and rune power.]

[Friendly Reminder: If you don't want to destroy the World... or yourself, it's recommended not to let it come into contact with any biological tissue.]

Looking at this suddenly appearing panel description, with mentions of 'endless energy' and 'glorious evolution,'

Luca just wanted to ask one question.

"Is this reasonable??"
