Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 New Tools

"?????"

Samira, who had been looking down and taking notes, had just put her pen down when she immediately snapped her head up again.

Her mouth was wide open, her pupils constricted, and she looked at the calm Luca with disbelief.

It wasn't just her.

Even the company employee who had come with the new car and was temporarily acting as the driver couldn't help but instinctively want to turn his head to look at the future heir of their company.

However, perhaps considering that he couldn't lose this well-paying job.

The driver ultimately relied on great willpower to turn his head back to the front.

Then, while 'concentrating' on driving, he pricked up his ears to listen carefully, occasionally glancing at Luca in the rearview mirror.

"Young…Young Master, isn't that inappropriate? You are still young, and that…that kind of thing…"

Listening to Aunt Samira's stammering, nervous, and trembling voice, Luca twitched his mouth, forcing himself to continue speaking in a calm tone.

"Aunt Samira, what are you thinking? It's just that my next invention needs these things, you just need to prepare them for me."

"But, but Young Master…the company doesn't have similar products," Samira stammered.

"...I didn't say to get them from the company. Like those medical instruments, just purchase them from outside."

"Okay, okay."

Hearing that Luca seemed very determined, Samira ultimately gritted her teeth and wrote down the words 'vibrator' on the paper.

However, for this demand order, she no longer planned to assign it to others; she would personally purchase everything.

She was a middle-aged woman after all, and although she had never been married, buying these things was familiar to her, and she felt no shyness whatsoever.

The reason she was so nervous just now was simply due to an elder's concern that Luca might go astray.

Now that she had calmed down, she didn't dwell on the matter further.

After secretly glancing at Luca, she found that the child's gaze had become vacant again, and he was lost in thought.

Samira could only sigh silently.

'I wonder if little Luca is thinking about a new invention, or if he misses his mom and dad.'

'Either way is fine, at least having something to keep him busy isn't bad.'

After carefully putting away the recorded paper, Samira, who had turned back, began to ponder.

Whether to fire this temporary driver from the company later, or to find a way to transfer him to a factory far from the New York headquarters.

As for Luca himself, after seeing that Samira was no longer paying attention to him, he finally let out a slight sigh of relief, while also sighing in his heart.

'Indeed, it's good to have money.'

If he didn't have a company or funds, and had to prepare these things himself, not to mention the frequent trial-and-error costs, even if he could always buy the exact qualified items needed for 'synthesis consumables,' it would certainly take a lot of effort.

'However, it seems I still need to find an additional full-time assistant to handle these trivia. Samira is, after all, a former warrior, and asking her to do the work of a housekeeper and secretary is really too difficult for her.'

However, this would bring them back to the issue of control over the company and funds.

'Either cure Gina, or handle the company side. In short, I need to find a breakthrough as soon as possible!'

...

An hour and a half later.

Connecticut, Greenwich town, inside the seaside Villa.

It was already nearing evening.

Looking at the messy items piled up in the Villa's living room, Luca rubbed his head, feeling a headache.

"Aunt Samira, you go ahead and notify them to recall that combat squad and about purchasing materials. These two matters are more crucial."

"As for here, I'll handle it slowly myself."

After seeing Samira off, Luca simply sat down in the center of the living room.

This Villa was a property of the Orange Family family in Connecticut.

Although it wasn't within New York City, it wasn't actually far from Lower Manhattan, just over an hour's drive.

Originally, the family of three would occasionally come here for a short stay on weekends, to slightly escape the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and relax.

It was just that the apartment in the Upper East Side was severely damaged.

In addition, Manhattan was now incredibly chaotic, with curfews everywhere.

So Luca temporarily moved here, turning 'vacation' into a permanent stay.

Well, alright, he said he was living here permanently, but for the past few days, Luca had mostly been spending his nights at the hospital.

As for the large pile of messy things in the living room now.

Some were purchased and collected by Luca's subordinates as instructed, and some were simply sent directly from the company.

Among them were a wide variety of items: daily necessities, toys, models, weapon samples, everything imaginable.

The main reason was that Luca was still somewhat unsure how his 'golden finger's' 'Core Component' needed to be triggered, or rather, what kind of object could be considered a 'Core Component.'

He only knew that indirect images like photos and videos could not make him see the faint glow emitted by the 'Core Component.'

Helplessly, he could only have people randomly purchase various items and send them over, waiting for him to personally inspect them one by one.

However, it seemed that this method was not very efficient.

At least, Luca had broadly scanned them and had not yet seen any item emitting that unique white glow of a 'Core Component.'

"It seems I can't do this anymore in the future. This is too inefficient and troublesome to deal with."

"However, when I saw those Avengers members before, almost every one of them had a Core Component on them. At least, starting with characters from the plot can be considered a good approach."

Immediately, Luca also thought of the [Power-Enhancing Shoes] he was currently wearing. The 'Core Component' of this item was just an ordinary item found in a regular shoe store; it didn't have any grand origins.

"Perhaps, going shopping more often and mass-screening from malls is also a good path."

While pondering these things, Luca did not choose to immediately open the unopened packages and inspect them one by one.

Instead, he walked directly towards the two boxes placed in the corner of the living room.

One of them was larger, with the Orange Industries company logo printed on it. Clearly, it was the accessory prop that Luca had asked the company to customize and send.

As for the other smaller box, from its appearance alone, it looked like an ordinary red medical kit, even with a white background and red cross symbol printed on it.

However, this box emitted a unique, shimmering white light in Luca's eyes.

Yes, the reason Luca, who had been accompanying Gina at the hospital for so many days, chose to return home today, besides wanting to try and see if there were any new synthesis props among the cluttered items he had collected.

The more important reason was that Luca had indeed encountered another new 'Core Component' these past few days.
