In the Drifters' Spaceship, Arsa and Finn were just having a fun conversation but an awkward silence suddenly filled the room.
It was unclear what was next for these three individuals. Gridlock obviously wanted to be free as he was trapped in the Greenfern Mansion's prison for so long but Finn wanted to bring Gridlock back to the same prison he put in so much hard work to get out of. Before, Gridlock would just fight back but now their relations had gotten deeper.
Arsa was still broken. She had lost the two people she cared about the most in the universe. Even during that fun conversation with Finn, she was holding back an immense amount of pain. She had originally planned to let herself die along with Mark and Lily but she was confused about what to do with herself and her future with these two men in her life.
In an attempt to break the awkward silence, Gridlock said, "So... For now, I'm gonna land the ship in a local interstellar restaurant. I think we should talk while having a meal." Finn said, "That sounds great." Arsa stayed quiet and just nodded.
After landing at the restaurant and starting their feast, Arsa said, "I think I'll just go back to my home planet now and start living a quiet life. My life doesn't have any purpose now." Gridlock, while looking surprised, said, "You don't want to get revenge on the Ermi that killed your friends?" Arsa replied, "They were more than friends... They were my everything. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be alive right now..." Gridlock replied, "Then, Why?" Arsa, while looking sad, said, "What would be the point? It's not like anything is gonna bring them back."
Gridlock said, "That's no-" Finn finally spoke. He said, "Enough, Mr. James. Arsa has decided what she wants to do. We just met her and have no right to tell her what she needs to do next. I believe it's about time we talk about our futures."
Gridlock chuckled.
Gridlock said, "You've grown so much in such little time, Kid. It sort of makes me happy." Finn said, "After we finish this meal, let's drop off Arsa on her home planet." Gridlock replied, "Sure. If that's what she really wants, who am I to say anything?" Finn, while looking hesitant, said, "And then, I'll pilot the ship and take you back to Plain." Gridlock had now gained a serious look. He said, "As if I'll let that happen, Kid. You've grown a lot but you can't beat me in anything, Kiddo." Finn said, "Time will tell. For now, let's enjoy this delicious food." Gridlock, Finn and Arsa enjoyed their meal peacefully and with joy. They all had gained the feeling that this was one of the last peaceful moments they'll ever have.
A Blue Spaceship originating from Blastous landed on the Interstellar restaurant Gridlock and the gang were currently on. The people around said, "This is a surprise... You never really see ships from Blastous on these parts of the Galaxy..." A man fully covered in a high tech suit walked out and screamed, "IS THERE ANY MAN HERE NAMED GRIDLOCK?" Gridlock heard this and immediately replied, "Yes there is... What's it to you?" The man replied, "Mr. Ermi Floater has requested me to bring you to him. Don't make this hard for me and just come."
"Ermi?"
Gridlock was shocked and so was Arsa. Gridlock, in his head, said, "So that old bastard's looking for me now..." Arsa said to Gridlock, "Why the hell is Ermi looking for you?" Finn screamed, "WHAT?" Gridlock replied, "Wait so the Ermi that attacked you was Ermi Floater?" Arsa replied, "Yes!" Gridlock replied, "You should've told me sooner..." The Man shouted, "ALRIGHT! ENOUGH CHITCHAT! YOU'RE COMING WITH ME, GRIDLOCK!" Gridlock whispered to Finn, "Kiddo, there's a blaster on the ship's right deck storage. Quickly bring it to me." Finn replied, "Alright."
Gridlock said, "Haven't you heard stories of THE Gridlock James? You should know I'm not a man you should mess around like this with." The Man replied, "Oh... I know a lot more about you than even you do, Gridlock." Gridlock replied, "What the hell does that mean?" Finn brought the blaster and gave it to Gridlock. Gridlock immediately pointed it at the man and said, "You two, get into the ship and stay safe." Arsa and Finn rushed inside the ship.
The Man pointed a blaster back at Gridlock. Gridlock screamed, "WHY THE HELL IS ERMI ASKING FOR ME NOW, ANYWAY?" The Man replied, "You'll know... YOU'LL KNOW VERY SOON!" Gridlock replied, "You know what, WHY CAN'T EVERYONE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE FOR JUST A LITTLE BIT OF MY LIFE! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH TROUBLES FOR ONE LIFE!" The Man stayed quiet.
They both fired.
When the masked man and Gridlock fired at each other, the blast only landed on Gridlock. The masked man was protected by some sort of forcefield.
The masked man said, "This was supposed to happen one day. I always knew it was coming." The blast had landed on Gridlock's right leg and he was currently immobilized and on the ground. Gridlock, after hearing the man, said, "What the hell are you talking about?"
The masked man then threw a small chip on Gridlock's body and made him unconscious.
"May The Almighty forgive me."
Finn who was just looking at all this that happened along with Arsa inside the ship stepped out and screamed, "Stop! Don't you dare take him!"
The Man ignored Finn and causally carried Gridlock's body to his spaceship. Finn looked angry and was about to start running to the man but his arm was suddenly grabbed by Arsa. She said, "Don't... It's pointless. You can't take Gridlock back from that man." Finn, while frustrated, said, "I can't just let him take Gridlock!" Arsa screamed, "You have no choice!"
In the midst of all this, The Man, along with Gridlock's body, was already leaving on his spaceship. When Finn noticed this, He said, "Look! We need to go after them! I'll pilot the ship!" Arsa, with a confused look on her face, said, "No! You need to take me back to my home planet and then you can do whatever you want." Finn, while surprised, said, "I didn't think you were someone who would say that. Gridlock saved you too! If it weren't for him, we'd still be on that desert planet slowly waiting for our deaths!" Arsa screamed, "I JUST DON'T WANT ANY PART IN THIS! I wanna go home and finally try to relax and be in peace. I've already lost everything in the galaxy that mattered to me. Please, just take me home." Finn replied, "No... I can't abandon Gridlock and I won't abandon you either. I promise to keep you safe and eventually take you back to your home. Right now, I need to save Mr. James." Arsa went silent upon hearing this and went into a separate room in the ship meanwhile Finn started to fly after The Man's ship.
Finn, in his head, said, "I will save you, Mr.James."
While on the way to "Vorjinn Prime", Gridlock had regained a tiny bit of consciousness. He asked The Man who was currently piloting the ship one thing.
"Are you my Father?"
"The effects of that chip are really settling in.", The Man replied. Gridlock, with a fake laugh, said, "I guess you're right... I'm just going insane." Gridlock lost his consciousness once more.
Finn was currently not that far behind The Man's spaceship and was doing a good job to keep his ship unnoticed.
"You might already be dead at this point, Mr. James. Maybe even in the end, I'll never truly know who you are."
At the centre of his Labour Camp, there waited Ermi Floater himself. Words could not describe how excited he was. There were so many things he wanted to do with his favorite slave he hadn't seen in so long. Ermi, while in pure excitement, said, "My dear Gridlock, You were the most fun and best thing I owned in my life. I hope we can continue from where we abruptly left off ." All of this was said in an Empty room.
