 It was Harry slowly emerging from the ruin, a bright light emanating around him.


He had risen from the rubble like a demon from the pit, the Trident of Asmodius glowing in his hand, his body pulsing with stolen power. He had looked at them with eyes that burned with green fire. He laughed, a cold, triumphant sound, and then he had floated upward, levitating out of the ruins like a god ascending to his throne.


Matt had watched him go, his heart pounding, his fists clenched.
