My Girlfriend Is Stronger Than the Demon Lord – Volume 3 (Chapter 3)

Aria dragged me through the forest so fast that my legs touched the ground only occasionally—more like I was a kite being pulled by a panicking goddess.

"Aria!" I gasped. "Slow down! I'm not built for hyper-speed fleeing!"

"We can't let them catch us!" she shouted. "If I become Demon Lord, we'll never have peaceful dates again!"

Unfortunately, my suffering ended because we ran directly into a wall.

A wall shaped like a giant armored demon.

The massive figure looked down at us. "Battle Goddess Aria," he rumbled, voice deep enough to shake trees. "I am General Gorvath. I have come to escort you to your throne."

Aria sighed. "I said I don't want it."

The general kneeled so suddenly the earth cracked. "Your refusal only proves your worthiness!"

I whispered, "Aria, I don't think logic works on demons."

"Oh, I noticed."

Suddenly the little demon girl from before popped out behind the general. "General Gorvath! You scared them! Be gentle! We need the new Demon Lord in good condition for the coronation!"

"I AM gentle," the general said proudly, gesturing at the crater he had created.

Aria pressed her fingers to her temples. "Why me? Why is this happening?"

"Because you beat the last Demon Lord," I reminded.

She glared. "Eren, this is your fault."

"My fault?! How?!"

"You told me to punch with confidence!"

Before I could argue, General Gorvath stood up. "New Demon Lord, we must depart. The demon realm is unstable without leadership. Chaos spreads."

The little demon girl nodded. "If you don't accept the crown soon, the demon tribes will start fighting each other. Millions of demons may riot."

Aria froze.

I felt her grip on my hand tighten. She looked conflicted—annoyed, frustrated… but also worried.

"Eren," she whispered, "I don't want the crown… but I can't let innocent people get hurt, even demons."

I swallowed. "Then… maybe we should go?"

She stared at me, eyes softening. "If I go, will you come with me?"

I didn't even hesitate. "Of course."

Aria exhaled in relief, then squeezed my hand.

"Okay," she said. "Let's visit the demon realm."

General Gorvath lifted his massive arms. "To the coronation!"

Aria groaned. "Don't say it like that!"

And just like that, our not-so-normal adventure took another chaotic step forward.
