Kael saw the log after the fact.
He was scrolling through Beta's overnight summaries, half paying attention, when the header caught his eye.
[NEW HUMAN PATTERN: CITY_EVALUATOR_DECISION_0001 – GRAY-3.]
He opened it.
Building collapse.
Three patients.
Engineer, worker, Guard.
Manual override by CITY_EVALUATOR_ID_SEORI.
He read her justification.
Skill network. Future safety. Secondary support.
"Huh," he said.
Haneul, sprawled on the couch with a blanket, glanced over.
"Good 'huh' or bad 'huh'?" she asked.
"Good," he said. "New Evaluator made a call I probably would've made. Maybe with slightly more spreadsheets."
He scrolled further.
Beta's note:
[SIMILARITY TO RYU_VECTOR: MEDIUM-HIGH.]
"Great," he muttered. "The System's breeding people like us now."
Haneul snorted.
"Or it's noticing the ones who already exist," she said.
He thought about that.
"Yeah," he said. "That's better. Less creepy."
"Want to reach out?" she asked.
He hesitated.
"No," he said finally. "Not yet. Last thing a new Evaluator needs is some weirdo Executor in her DMs saying 'hey, welcome to arguing with god.'"
"Fair," Haneul said. "But keep an eye on her. If she starts slipping or burning out, you… might be the only one who knows what it feels like."
He winced.
"Therapy by cursed debugger," he said.
"That's you," she said.
Beta pinged softly.
[NOTE: POTENTIAL COLLABORATION BETWEEN EXECUTOR AND CITY EVALUATOR: BENEFICIAL.]
"Don't schedule us like a meeting," Kael told it. "Let life be messy."
[ACKNOWLEDGED.]
He didn't entirely believe it.
