Browsing through the holographic panel his mind wandered, watching the news and reading articles, time goes on until his alarm sounded.

'its time!' he thought. quite excited about the limiter chip, even though it's still haven't been tested if its safe or not, Liam don't care about anything as long as it can strengthen him.
Walking out on his room, he patiently strode toward the elevator where dozen of people were riding in.
the elevator was big accommodating dozens of military personnel in it.
considering that he was residing in the Military base of Carldyn point, it was pretty normal.
after waiting for the elevator to go to the upper floor, he found himself in a metallic door where a name on the side have been projected.

Knocking on the door twice, Liam pressed his hand onto the scanner, as it turned green the door slowly slid open.

the room wasn't big, maybe 300 square feet considering the bathroom and the bedroom, in the center an old man in the same black military uniform was drinking a tea on a wooden table.
seeing Liam's face the old man gave him a nod, offering him to sit down.
After sitting down, Major Fed, stared at his eyes, his hand slowly slid forward a small disk that looks like a memory card from the old era.
seeing the scrutinising look of Major Fed, Liam's emotionless face broke into a smile that was rather cold.
"Maj- Well Uncle Fed, thank you for this really.. it's just that I have a suspicion this wasn't an ordinary mission like any other, considering you.. giving me this precious chip. of course I have no thought that you would give me a fake chip." after finishing his long sentence, Major Fed sighed.
using his right hand to tap Liam's shoulder, he gave him a warm smile, "You brat.. always giving me this old feelings from your father. you were really like him."
shaking his head, he asked, "Are you ready for the procedure? this was an illegal thing to have, and I knew you want to also know what this mission was about so I will explain this thoroughly."
"this was an S level classified mission. of course the IHC did not just choose normal soldiers, its just that after a long time of examining the files of every soldiers from different bases we found 5 people with a rather strong mind and also an affinity for this new type of energy."
"Are you saying this was a suicide mission?" Liam calmly ask, as he hold his hand tightly staring at major Fed's eyes.

"Good! It was an energy... a chaotic energy of some sense, even the physicality Textbooks that we have can't even explain this kind of Energy."
"It was like some sort of Power system in a fictional novel like mana, where you absorb and harness the energy making it your own."
Major Fed stopped, seeing that Liam was still digesting the information that he gave him, he suddenly said, tapping his finger onto the table, "It's absurd right?"
"Yes, An energy invisible to the eye, that could strengthen a living being.. it cannot be possibly true.." Liam was skeptical as he look at Major Fed's old face, observing if he was lying.
Major Fed laughed, "Haha! well at first we found it absurd."
after laughing for sometime his eyes shined with excitement as he explained, "but after our scientists found a living being on a planet that have this Dark matter thingy, guess what they found? they found a mysterious Orb on that beings body! and also we lost dozen of physical type and precision type soldier to that beast! and its only a single entity that was in the bottom of the food chain!"

"Why me and there's only 5 of us right? I mean I think there's many people who would have an affinity on that thing, or are you saying they want us to become a lab rat to test this thing? what if it wasn't true?!" Liam coldly said, his hand clenched into a fist, staring at Major Fed face deeply.
Seeing his angry face, Major Fed softly sighed, "I know... but if you tried to decline this, they will force you and even expelling your sister from the Academy!"
hearing his words Liam finally calmed down, he said, "I want to test this Limiter chip right now, do you have a shot of pain killer?"
