Two days after his encounter with Minato—
Yue finally got his wish and paid a visit to Minato, arriving at his home.
Just as he had promised, Minato welcomed Yue warmly, asking with genuine concern about his daily life, habits, and interests.
As their conversation neared its end, Minato noticed Yue was holding something back, hesitant to speak.
Smiling gently, Minato said, "Yue, is there something you want to ask of me? Don't feel embarrassed. If you acknowledge me as your big brother, then tell me. I'll help you however I can."
Being seen through so easily made Yue's face flush red.
It was indeed a bit awkward to directly ask for Minato's signature jutsu.
Still, gritting his teeth, he decided to lay it all out.
"Minato-nii, I… I want to learn your Flying Thunder God Technique… and the jutsu you created yourself—the Rasengan."
Minato froze for a moment.
Of all things he expected, that… definitely wasn't one of them.
How did Yue even know about those jutsu?
Asking for the Rasengan wasn't a big deal—even though he had only recently completed it and had yet to test it in real combat, teaching it wasn't an issue.
But the Flying Thunder God…
That wasn't something you learned just because you wanted to.
Even within Konoha's long history, only the Second Hokage and Minato himself had ever mastered it.
Yue should've been focusing on developing his Wood Release—building the foundation of his kekkei genkai. That was the sensible path.
Trying to learn everything at once… was usually a one-way ticket to mediocrity.
Minato thought for a long while before finally making up his mind.
"…Alright. I'll teach you both jutsu. I can take a week off—I'll use that week to train you. But you must promise me this: if you can't grasp it, you give up immediately. You can't let this delay your real training."
Yue nodded at once, excitement overflowing.
"I promise, Minato-nii!"
After agreeing on a time for their training, Yue left in high spirits.
But Minato's expression turned serious.
He still needed to report this to the Third Hokage—and request his leave.
Minato tapped the ground lightly with one foot and vanished.
"Hm? That child wants to learn those two jutsu?"
Hiruzen looked genuinely surprised.
"Well… since you've already agreed to his request and made a promise, then teach him seriously. I also want to know—just where that boy's limits are."
Only after receiving the Hokage's approval did Minato finally relax.
Back home, Yue felt uneasy as well.
He understood perfectly the principle that "biting off more than you can chew" was a fool's path.
Wood Release techniques all demanded monstrous chakra reserves.
His six-year-old body, despite two years of training and inheriting Hashirama's kekkei genkai, still had very limited chakra.
But precisely because his chakra grew so slowly, he needed more powerful techniques to raise his combat power.
That was the real reason he stubbornly insisted on learning from Minato.
---
The next day.
According to their agreement, Yue arrived early at the training grounds and waited.
"Yue, you're awfully early."
Minato appeared beside him without making a sound, not even disturbing the air.
"Compared to the Flying Thunder God, the Rasengan is much simpler. I'll teach that first. I've only just completed this jutsu, and I haven't used it in real combat yet. I still need time to refine it so it can blend perfectly into battle."
"When that day comes, I'll reveal the Rasengan to the world."
"And if I improve it or gain new insights, I'll teach you as well."
"This is the scroll for the Flying Thunder God. I'll explain my understanding of it—but afterward, you'll have to comprehend the rest on your own."
Thus began Yue's week of grueling training.
---
A week later—
Yue had gotten a preliminary grasp of the Rasengan.
Give it a little more time, and he would fully master it.
As for the Flying Thunder God…
The complexity was far beyond what he had imagined.
He hadn't even found a starting point—he might really lack talent in that area.
After memorizing its theory and execution process, Yue handed the scroll back to Minato.
Flying Thunder God was essentially the ultimate evolution of the Body Flicker Technique.
Even if he couldn't learn it now, nothing stopped him from studying it slowly.
Who knew—maybe someday he'd just… get it.
Stranger things had happened.
"Yue! Long time no see!"
It was Shisui—recently transferred into the Anbu. He had been busy for a while and only now found time to visit.
A year of illusion training under Shisui had deepened their friendship, though Yue had been tormented to near death countless times by his illusions.
He was growing numb to it—like being force-fed poisonous mushrooms daily.
Shisui had grown stronger as well—his Sharingan had already evolved to three tomoe, and his genjutsu had become terrifyingly oppressive.
Thanks to Shisui's dedicated guidance, Yue had developed a decent resistance to genjutsu.
Shisui didn't hold back either—he even shared some of his insights into the Body Flicker Technique.
"You've been really busy lately, Shisui. It's almost impossible to catch you." Yue teased.
Shisui scratched his cheek awkwardly, then his expression turned serious.
"Yue, did you know? Our clan has an incredible prodigy. He's only three, but his talent is already astonishing. The clan believes he'll one day carry the future of the Uchiha."
Yue, of course, knew exactly who he meant.
So Itachi was already beginning to show his brilliance.
A faint bitterness rose in Yue's heart.
If no one guided him properly, that "prodigy" might become the very reason the clan had no future.
"I think you're the strongest one, Shisui. The clan's future should be yours to bear."
Yue grinned.
Shisui's face stiffened, and he hissed, "Don't joke like that! That kid is the clan head's son. If other Uchiha heard you, they'd think I'm plotting against the main family!"
"Alright, enough talk—let's start. If I go a day without being tortured by your genjutsu, I feel… weird."
Yue knew it was far too early to approach Itachi.
Even Shisui hadn't been assigned to bond with him yet.
So he pushed aside that issue and focused on resisting Shisui's illusions.

Wind Country — Sunagakure
As history recorded, chaos erupted.
Sasori of the Red Sand staged a rebellion, assassinated the Third Kazekage, and stole his body to make into a puppet.
With their Kazekage missing, Sunagakure fell into disorder.
---
Lightning Country — Kisamegakure
The stern and imposing Third Raikage listened quietly to his subordinates' report about Suna's turmoil, contemplating deeply.
"Raikage-sama, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I believe we should strike Suna now and seize their resources."
"Yes. With their leader gone, Sunagakure is headless—this is the perfect time."
"I agree. We should attack!"
Hearing the Kazekage had vanished, the militaristic officers of Kisamegakure eagerly urged war.
The Third Raikage himself was naturally battle-hungry.
With so many voices supporting the idea, he immediately decided:
Kisame would dispatch forces and declare war on Sunagakure!
