Chapter 4 - Chapter 4, Escape, Part 3

"I need to calm down, everything will be fine," Finn said to himself.

"And where are they? Why are they taking so long to find the rocket? Should I go to them?"

Suddenly, Finn heard a child crying.

Finn's skin crawled, and a thought struck him with fear: where could a child be in such disarray, and why did he just start crying?

Finn swallowed, gathered his strength, and walked quietly and carefully to check.

He walked, unbearably scared.

As he got closer, the child's crying grew louder. When he opened the door, he saw a child crying next to his mother's corpse.

Finn was terrified and said to himself, "It's strange why these creatures don't come to the sound."

Finn stepped toward the child and said, "Quiet, girl, calm down, they might hear us."

The girl was crying, unable to calm down, and wasn't paying attention to Finn.

Finn began making faces to cheer her up, and the girl began laughing.

Finn smiled. He said, "Be quiet, okay?"

"Okay," the girl replied.

Finn said, "And when was your mother killed?"

"The girl only just now responded."

Finn's eyes were filled with fear.

He wondered where the hunter was and why he hadn't touched the girl, or if it was a trap.

Finn looked at the ceiling and saw the hunter there. Blood from the creature's mouth fell on Finn's face.

The hunter suddenly leaped at Finn. Finn lowered his head, looked at the girl, and grabbed her. They ran toward the house where Finn's friends were.

The creature was catching up with them. Finn and the girl abruptly turned into a corner where the hunter couldn't enter the narrow room due to his size. When Finn and the girl emerged from the corner, they immediately ran.

As they ran, Finn wondered.

Why didn't he attack? What do they know how to wait?

When they reached the house where his friends were, no one was there.

"Damn, they're gone," Finn said with hatred. Finn looked at the girl and saw in her eyes that she was scared.

The girl said to Finn, "We'll be fine."

"Yes, of course, we'll be fine. We can get out. We just need to be quiet," Finn replied.

The girl nodded.

They went outside and saw them launch a rocket.

"Damn, we have to make it," Finn said anxiously.

Finn and the girl ran quickly.

The soldier and Ren walked silently to the emergency door.

Ren grabbed the soldier by the pants and pointed into the house.

They went there. When they entered, the soldier asked, "Did you want something?" Ren asked.

"We didn't discuss the plan, you didn't even tell me," Ren replied.

"Okay, I'll tell you. When I launch the rocket, we'll run into the building. When they open the door, we'll run in right away. You understand?" Ren said to the soldier.

"Yes, I understand, and Finn will be fine too," Ren replied sadly.

"I don't know honestly, but..." If he's alive, he'll come to the sound and smoke the rocket emits, but I, like you, hope he's alive, said the soldier.

Ren: I hope he's alive too.

The soldier said: Let's not waste time. See, the armored monsters are already coming. Let's go.

Ren and the soldier walked out and approached the emergency door. The soldier placed Miku on the ground and whispered to Ren, "Put Miku on your back."

Ren looked at the soldier with surprise and whispered: "Why?"

"It's not guaranteed that I'll survive either, so it's better that you survive," the soldier whispered.

The soldier placed Miku on Ren's back and told him to go around that corner of the house. "I'll come too."

When Ren had already reached that corner, the soldier moved away from the door so he could enter.

The soldier picked up the flare gun and launched it.

He threw the flare gun down and ran toward Ren.

The commander said: "Hurry, open the door and prepare your defenses so these guys can get through." The creatures didn't come in.

Exactly.

Where are those creatures, the soldier said to himself.

Ren and the soldier waited for them, a cold sweat running down their bodies.

They saw one hunter who jumped onto the roof, then another came, and two more. They saw other hunters running here.

They hoped that this door would open.

After a while, Ren saw the door open.

He said to himself: we're safe.

He touched the soldier and showed him that the door had opened. A man was standing there, waving for them to come here. Ren and the soldier walked quietly toward the door without making a sound.

Ren accidentally stepped on a stick. The hunters turned around, and Ren immediately froze in fear.

The soldier immediately bent down to pick up a stone and threw it somewhere else, distracting the hunters, and they hurried toward the door.

When Ren and Mika entered a safe place, the soldier looked around and saw the Finn running toward the door with a little girl.

The soldier's eyes lit up with joy; he couldn't believe it. Finn's eyes showed that he had survived.

He gestured to the other soldiers not to close the door, there were survivors there.

The soldier ran after them.

Finn saw the soldier, he said to himself, "We're saved," with a smile on his face.

The soldier approached Finn and the girl. The soldier took the girl, and they walked silently to the door.

Finn and the girl entered the door, and the soldier closed it.

Ren sees Finn, tears welling in his eyes, a smile visible on his face, and he runs toward Finn.

Finn sees Ren and runs toward him, tears welling in his eyes as well.

Ren hugs his friend and says at the top of his voice, tears streaming down his face: "Finn, you survived, I'm so glad."

Finn replies with a smile: "Ren, I'm glad you're alive too, it's as if we've been separated for a hundred years."

Finn's tears are streaming down his face.
