Jay-Jay's POV
Sunlight slipped through the curtains, warm on my face. Keifer's arm was heavy across my waist, his breathing steady against my neck. Last night's tears had dried, leaving only peace in the lines of his sleeping face — bracelet loose on his wrist, photo from Serina on the nightstand.
I shifted carefully, not wanting to wake him. But his eyes fluttered open anyway, soft and blue in the morning glow.
"Morning, queen," he murmured, voice husky from sleep.
I smiled, tracing his jaw. "Morning, ulupong. Sleep okay?"
"Best ever." He pulled me closer, kissing my forehead. "No dreams. Just… this."
We stayed tangled like that, lazy and content, until my stomach growled loud enough to make him laugh. "Breakfast?"
"Obviously."
The kitchen smelled like coffee and possibility as he cracked eggs while I sliced mango. Normal. Ours. No sirens. No shadows.
"Serina today," he said, flipping pancakes. "Here. 6pm. You think Section E will behave?"
I snorted. "C-in? Percy? Dream on."
His phone buzzed — group chat exploding.
C-in: MOMMY, KEIFER DINNER??? I BRING CAKE 🎂
Felix: I bring the chaos 😈
Rakki: Behave or no invites next time👀
Aries: Security light. Eman's cooking confirmed. Eman:yep
Keifer: I know that you have been working on the food need help?
eman: sure tell Jay not to burn the food 😂
Keifer grinned, showing me. "Family."
"Big one now." I leaned against him, mango slice in hand. "Serina plus us. Keiren, Keigan too?"
"On their way." He fed me a bite of pancake, syrup dripping. "Whole."
School waited after — Section E's usual madness, whispers about "Keifer's miracle mom," high-fives in the hall. But under desks, his hand found mine. Steady.
Evening came fast. Door knocked at 6 sharp.
Serina — simple blouse, warm smile — hugged Keifer first, then me like family. "My home now too?"
"Always," I said.
Laughter filled the apartment — brothers reuniting, Section E piling in with food and noise, Serina fitting seamless, stories flowing.
Keifer caught my eye across the chaos, mouthing, I love you.
I mouthed back, heart full.
This was us.
