Chapter 377: The Two Women Meet
Back in Queens, Peter eventually bit the bullet and headed out to buy a pair of boxing gloves for Gwen. As for why a girl would like such things, Peter figured it was likely the influence of her father, George Stacy.
"Sigh~" Silas sighed as he watched Peter's retreating back. Peter was likely in for a rough time in the future. Then again, Peter had the constitution of Spider-Man; no matter how much Gwen trained, she wouldn't be a match for him.
"By the way, I wonder what's in their shopping carts?" Silas suddenly thought of the three girls. Driven by curiosity, he first opened Wanda's Global-Buy back-end.
Wanda's account was perfectly normal: makeup, clothes, and various typical items. After a quick glance, he opened Felicia's cart to see what the little cat was interested in. His eyes nearly popped out of his head. Felicia's cart was filled with leather whips, leather suits, masks...
"What kind of mess is this?" Silas's lip twitched as he promptly closed her account.
Finally, there was Misty. Silas figured she would be similar to Wanda.
"This!"
As Silas scrolled through Misty's cart, his scalp felt a bit numb. You can buy almost anything on Global-Buy depending on the region's laws.
"Double-barreled shotgun, Swiss Army knife, combat training gear..." Silas stared in shock. This was even more hardcore than Gwen. Silas knew Misty's personality; she was usually more of a lively, active girl who liked new things. Besides, her father Hugh already had a shotgun. Why buy another one online? Was she planning some kind of "event"? Silas couldn't wrap his head around it, but he decided to let things take their natural course.
"Ten o'clock. Time for a shower and bed," Silas stretched. School was starting soon, and he needed to get back into a good sleep schedule. However, since it was only 9:30, he decided to play one more game.
"Big Black! Big Black! Come out and help me rank up." Silas tapped the desk. Big Black leaped from the shadow, looking at the screen with a cool gaze. "Master, how many wins do you want tonight?"
The Next Morning
Peter excitedly took the boxing gloves to find Gwen and apologize. As expected, being late was a "staple" for Spider-Man, but since he brought a gift, Gwen wasn't angry. She just warned him not to be late again.
Silas's routine remained steady. In the morning, he visited Wanda to teach her how to use the transformation scrolls. In the afternoon, Felicia slipped into his room like a cat looking for a treat. Around 4:00 PM, just after Felicia left, Misty showed up to take Silas out for a walk.
Silas agreed. He had to admit, the Spider-Man physique was incredible; he didn't feel tired at all. They went to the amusement park from their first date. During the outing, Misty asked about his new friends, and Silas told her everything without reservation. Since she was reporting to his class the next day, there was no point in hiding it. However, he decided to keep the exact nature of his relationship with Felicia a secret for a more "appropriate" time.
School: The Third Morning
"Morning, Silas~" Felicia greeted him by immediately hugging his arm the moment she saw him.
Silas rubbed his sleepy eyes. He had intended to sleep at 10:00 PM, but the win streak felt too good. He had played until 5:00 AM, at which point he decided to just pull an all-nighter. He was so drowsy that he figured he'd pass out the moment his head hit the desk.
"You don't look very energized?" Felicia noted his drooping eyelids.
"Yeah," Silas yawned. "I was busy ranking up and forgot school started today. I'll probably be face-down on the desk all day."
Felicia chuckled. She had been out "restocking" her own inventory the night before and had quite a successful haul. They entered the classroom, said hi to their friends, and both immediately slumped over their desks to rest.
"Quite the pair of night owls," Gwen remarked, propping her head on her hand as she looked at the sleeping Felicia and Silas.
"Silas got hooked on a game and was pulling all-nighters to rank up," Peter explained.
"A game? From Parker Industries?" Gwen asked.
"Yeah. It's pretty good, though a bit simple for us," Peter said. With their enhanced reflexes, the game was easy.
As they chatted, their teacher, Ms. Hillia, entered. "Good morning, everyone! We have two new students joining our class today. Let's give them a warm welcome. Come on in!"
Two girls with striking figures and beautiful faces walked in.
"Whoa! More girls!"
"This one is definitely mine!"
"Look at those curves!"
The boys in the class erupted. They had expected more "bros," not two stunning beauties. The commotion woke Felicia. "What's going on?" she asked groggily.
"New students," Gwen whispered in her ear.
Felicia looked up, curious to see who the newcomers were.
"Hello everyone, my name is Misty Barron," Misty introduced herself with a confident, bright smile.
"Hello... my name is... Wanda Olson," Wanda said tentatively. She was clearly uncomfortable with the attention, especially the way everyone was staring. She almost regretted choosing such a striking appearance. If she could do it again, she would have made herself look more average.
However, Wanda's eyes quickly found the sleeping Silas. She immediately felt more grounded, and her voice became more steady.
Up on the ceiling, Silas was actually floating in his astral form—a result of the Sheep Talisman. He rubbed his temples. "Sigh... it never rains, it pours." He tilted his head, wishing he could just stay asleep, but he knew that wasn't going to happen.
"Find a place to sit, girls," Ms. Hillia instructed.
Both girls moved at the same time, and they both appeared to have the same target: the area right next to Silas.
