As soon as the scene froze, the comments section erupted in jubilation.
"Holy crap, what a promising talent! I really want to recruit him to our small town!"
"Anyone who can follow Yin Xiu is definitely not simple. Yin Xiu is an invincible type, while Yin Xiu is a growth type. His future is promising!"
"Find a way to lure this person over."
At this moment, half of the comments were praising Zhong Mu, while the other half were frantically giving him instructions.
"Listen to me!! Watch out for the little girl! We can't let her die!"
"Yes, yes, absolutely not, absolutely not."
"Damn it, protect the little girl at all costs! She can't die! If she dies, Yin Xiu will go crazy!"
"These idiot players really scared me to death. Yin Xiu spent six years cultivating his mind and body to become gentle, and these bastards almost touched his sore spot. Once a man goes crazy, he's like a ghost. Don't ask me how I know!"
"Although it wasn't me who died, it stirred up some psychological trauma, and it's a little scary to look at..."
"Me too..."
The live chat was filled with a bunch of weird, swearing characters who were terrified, leaving the other viewers and players completely bewildered.
What? They were just one step away from seeing Boss Yin Xiu go crazy?
Is the situation really that dangerous now?
Zhong Mu, wielding an axe, confronted the group of players. He seemed to have managed to stabilize the situation, but in reality, he was still at a disadvantage.
Some players eagerly stepped forward again. No matter how fierce Zhong Mu was, he was only one person, while there were several of them. As long as one of them went forward and took care of this person, the rest would be no problem.
"I think you're really not afraid of death." Standing at the front was Zhang Si. He had long disliked this newcomer. From day one, he had completely disobeyed orders, and now he dared to interfere with his actions. His temper flared up immediately.
"I see you're not afraid of death either. If you want to come, then try." Zhong Mu glared at him, not willing to back down in the slightest.
Annoyed, the person on the other end immediately exchanged glances with the others, then stared intently at Zhong Mu, looking ready to make a move.
This inadvertently drew Zhong Mu's attention and vigilance, while the other players quietly circled around, preparing to launch a sneak attack.
In the tense atmosphere, Zhong Mu unconsciously tightened his grip on the axe. It was his first time entering a dungeon, and of course, his first time facing other players. He really had no experience in killing anyone, so it was impossible for him not to be flustered.
He wasn't afraid to kill his enemies; he was afraid of not being ruthless enough. A moment's hesitation would give the other side a chance to retaliate, and his heart would unconsciously tense up.
In the silence, Zhang Si noticed Zhong Mu's tension and suddenly stepped forward to intimidate him. Startled, Zhong Mu immediately swung his axe backhand. The next second, a player on his side pounced on him, pinned him to the ground, and firmly stepped on his axe-wielding hand.
"Quickly! Take his axe away!"
"If you can't take it, then chop it up!"
"Don't let him stand up! Press him down!"
"That'll teach you to try and kill me just now!"
The other players grumbled and stepped forward, trying to pin down the frantically struggling Zhong Mu and snatch the axe from his hands.
Those struggling on the verge of death are the most frantic. They are also afraid that Zhong Mu will viciously scatter them all as soon as he stands up, so they all go all out, stomping on his hands and even throwing stones at him.
In the struggle, they couldn't pry Zhong Mu's hand off the axe, which was gripping it tightly. Fortunately, someone dragged over a new axe, intending to chop off his hand to prevent any accidents.
Amidst the commotion, the remaining players were completely dumbfounded.
This was nothing short of a battle of madmen. They had never seen these players with such fierce and manic eyes before, almost indistinguishable from the monsters and townspeople in the town.
The little girl struggled to get up and help, sobbing, but the slightest movement caused blood to ooze from her wounds. She gritted her teeth and kicked Zhang Si away, but was immediately hit on the back with a stick.
"What's the rush! I'll come and kill you in a minute!" Zhang Si glared at her fiercely, only to be bitten by the little girl, who then gnawed at his shoulder.
"Aaaaah! You monster!" he yelled, baring his teeth as he viciously pounded the little girl's head with the stick in his hand, his eyes turning increasingly bloodshot.
Heavy breathing, the sounds of fierce struggle, screams, curses, and splattered blood mingled together, turning the square into a frenzied and heated scene.
Just as the victorious player raised his axe high, intending to strike Zhong Mu, a chilling voice suddenly rang out from outside the crowd, like snowflakes falling into the midst of the fervent noise, instantly chilling everyone.
What are you doing?
In an instant, the square fell silent as the players turned their heads.
Outside the crowd, Yin Xiu's slender figure appeared out of nowhere.
He stood there quietly, watching them, his gaze falling on Zhong Mu on the ground, then turning to the little girl beside him.
He looked at the wounds, that large patch of glaring red, and his eyes silently cooled.
"What's it to you!" Zhang Si was even more displeased to see Yin Xiu appear. He still remembered the grudge that Yin Xiu had caused Wang Guang's death, and he glared at him fiercely. "If you dare to meddle, I'll kill you too!"
Amidst that loud shout, the other players chimed in aggressively, "That's right! You always steal the spotlight from our big boss, acting like you're the real boss. We advise you not to mess with us now!"
"If the boss says she's the condition for passing the level, then she definitely is! Don't blame us for being impolite if you dare to get in our way!"
Amidst the chorus of curses, Yin Xiu remained unmoved. "Is that so?"
He stared indifferently at Zhang Si, silently raised his hand, and in the silence drew the Miao sword that was slung across his waist. The sharp, cold light of the sword was drawn from its sheath and pointed at the person opposite him with icy coldness and killing intent.
Did you strike first?
The other players remained silent, but Zhang Si immediately retorted with a string of curses, "So what if I did it? It's none of your business! Who are you to tell me what to do—"
In an instant, a cold light flashed across, and the sharp blade cleanly slit Zhang Si's throat. Bright red blood gushed out instantly, and before he could even finish speaking, only broken sounds remained in his throat.
"Uh... um..." Zhang Si raised his hand to cover his throat in a daze, staring at Yin Xiu in front of him in disbelief. His pupils were instantly filled with fear, but it was too late. The blood that gushed out stained his clothes red. He stumbled and fell to the ground without being able to say anything more.
The spreading crimson blood startled those around them. The other players, as if stabbed, instantly went from frenzy to panic, retreating from Yin Xiu's side and trying to escape.
"Forget it." Yin Xiu calmly raised his eyes to look at the players who were scattering and fleeing around him. He swung his Miao sword, flicking the blood off the tip of the blade, and said with a slight part of his thin lips, "Just kill them all."
This statement shocked the viewers in the live chat, but the next second, Yin Xiu proved with his actions that he was serious.
Suddenly, the white figure rushed out, wielding a sharp longsword that pierced the back of the fleeing man. With a flick of the wrist, the blade flashed and then swept towards the others.
With a single slash, blood bloomed like flowers in the air, staining Yin Xiu's white robes and his blade crimson. His face was cold, his eyes icy, more like the Grim Reaper than himself, as he chased after the panicked players as they wandered through the town.
Her swift movements were like a cold blade, or a frigid snowflake in the cold wind, carrying deadly force as she flew towards everyone she had just encountered, leaving behind only blood and screams of agony.
"Aaaaaah!! Help!"
"Please let me go! I was wrong! I... I didn't mean to!"
"Spare me! Spare me! I just lost my mind for a moment, I...I...ah!"
"I didn't want to kill her! I didn't lay a hand on her! I..."
"We're all players, please let me go! Please!"
The players' cries and screams echoed throughout the town; none of the town's strange occurrences paled in comparison to Yin Xiu's ferocity.
The player even desperately forced his way into the town resident's room during the day, and Yin Xiu forced his way in as well, with shouts from both the player and the town resident rising up together.
Now it's not just the players who are panicking, even the townspeople are panicking. They are keeping their doors tightly shut, not daring to let any players in, hiding themselves tightly for fear of being affected.
What does Yin Xiu killing players have to do with them? They're just innocent civilians! Yin Xiu is the monster more than they are!
