Chapter 99 - Chapter 99 The Arrogant Master

Yin Xiu frowned, momentarily doubting whether he had entered the wrong place. He took two steps back and looked at the drab corridor behind him, then looked forward at the magnificent ballroom inside, where players dressed in prison uniforms were walking around.

An awkward feeling washed over me.

"Excuse me, are you here to pick up a rules sheet?" A strange figure standing at the door asked Yin Xiu cautiously, his tone unusually polite.

Yin Xiu remained silent.

Is it possible to get the rules sheet directly here?

"If you're here to pick up the rules sheet, please come in." The strange creature was humble and polite to Yin Xiu, which made Yin Xiu very uncomfortable. The sense of incongruity on this floor was too strong, so strong that he had to be on full alert.

He took a step forward with Ya Ya in his hand, and as soon as they entered the ballroom, the strange creature that had been so gentle and polite just moments before suddenly barked at Yin Xiu, "Follow your master in and get down right now! Don't you know the rules?!"

Yin Xiu was a little confused, but when he followed the strange gaze and it landed on Ya Ya, he suddenly understood.

Ya Ya is a monster, so they require her to lie down like a pet, just like the monsters that follow the players.

Yin Xiu frowned, noticing some players looking over from a distance. They showed no fear in the face of the monsters, elegantly enjoying their service, and had a sense of superiority over the monsters crawling at their feet, as if they were truly their masters.

Yin Xiu felt a bit repulsed by this inexplicable eeriness, so he said coldly, "This isn't my pet, there's no need for you to lie down."

The monster beside him looked troubled. "How can a pet walk alongside its owner... all the monsters on this floor have to lie down..."

Yin Xiu narrowed his eyes at the strange-looking gatekeeper. "Really? Then why don't you lie down?"

The monster paused, then its black body quickly lay down on the ground, appearing extremely humble.

After seeing it lie down, Yin Xiu turned around, picked up Ya Ya, and held her in his arms, saying calmly, "If you want to lie down, then lie down by yourself. I can't bear to see her lie down."

The eerie figure froze, unsure of what to do.

Ya Ya sweetly hugged Yin Xiu's neck and stuck out her tongue at the monster on the ground.

Laughter immediately came from afar. "The monster is something you can kill easily. If you tell it to lie down, it should lie down obediently. You're holding it like a treasure. It's really funny."

Yin Xiu suddenly looked up and stared at the player who had laughed out loud, his eyes narrowing slightly. "In my eyes, you're just someone I can kill at will. Why aren't you down yet?"

The other person's face paled, and he glared at Yin Xiu, "You think I can't kill you? Which player here doesn't have blood on their hands? You think you can intimidate me?"

Yin Xiu drooped his eyes, too lazy to say anything more to him. Holding Ya Ya in one arm, he drew his knife with the other. The handcuffs made it a little difficult for him to kill while holding little Ya Ya, but Yin Xiu was happy to challenge himself.

"Who do you think you can scare by drawing a sword?" The player was still sneering and looking down on Yin Xiu.

But a flash of cold light passed by, and the sharp blade had already slit his throat. Yin Xiu stood expressionless beside him, wiping the blade with the hem of his clothes, and said coldly, "Ya Ya, extra food."

The little red figure in her arms pounced on them instantly, biting the player who was still alive to death. The rampant biting caused blood to splatter all over the magnificent floor. The surrounding players turned pale instantly, no longer daring to approach them or say anything more.

The cold and efficient players, along with the seemingly sweet but actually extremely ferocious little monster, were as brutal as wild beasts invading a poultry pen in this glamorous environment. Some people bit their lips and dared not say anything more to these two, while others still maintained their arrogant gazes and looked down on Yin Xiu.

Aside from the melodious music, the only sound in the hall was Ya Ya's munching.

After picking and choosing what to eat for a while, she wiped her mouth with the tablecloth and returned to Yin Xiu's side.

"Are you full?"

"not yet."

"Let's see if there are any more who can't speak properly."

Okay~

The combination of monsters seemed out of place among a group of arrogant players; they looked down on Yin Xiu, and Yin Xiu didn't bother with them.

From a corner of the ballroom, a strange voice broke the tense silence, announcing, "Please proceed to the dining table for your meal. After the meal, the rules for this floor will be distributed. Please wait patiently."

The players snorted and went to the tables around the edge of the lobby, elegantly taking their seats with their strange pets.

Yin Xiu wanted the rule sheet but didn't know the rules for this floor, so he followed the crowd and sat down with Ya Ya in his arms.

As soon as Ya Ya sat down at the dining table, she was held in Yin Xiu's arms and became the envy of a group of monsters lying on the ground around her.

Yin Xiu was met with disdain from the players, who were very dissatisfied with Ya Ya's existence, but dared not say anything because of Yin Xiu.

Then, one after another, strange creatures served exquisite and delicious meals on the table.

Yin Xiu wasn't very hungry after binding with Li Mo and wasn't interested in these dishes, but the other players were very interested, including Ya Ya.

Each player gets a meal, and each monster places a food item on the ground; Ya Ya's food item was also placed on the ground.

Yin Xiu ignored the bowl on the ground and pushed his delicate little plate in front of Ya Ya, saying, "You eat it, your brother isn't hungry yet."

"good!"

Ya Ya happily hugged the plate and started eating, while the other players frowned and were displeased that their pet was eating their owner's food at the table.

Yin Xiu ignored their disapproving looks.

"Brother, I'm done eating." Before the other players could even touch their food, Ya Ya had already finished her meal in a flash, then patted her belly and leaned into Yin Xiu's arms.

Yin Xiu pulled the tablecloth over and wiped her mouth. "Are you full?"

Ya Ya shook her head. "Not yet."

Before Yin Xiu could respond, one of the players on the other side finally couldn't help but speak up: "You're still hungry? There's still some food on the ground. Go eat what you're supposed to eat."

Ya Ya and Yin Xiu both looked up at the same time, staring intently at the person who had spoken, making him break out in a cold sweat.

"I see that no one is hungry yet, and everyone's quite idle," Yin Xiu said casually, slowly placing Ya Ya on the chair before standing up, gripping the hilt of his knife.

His slightest movement startled all the players at the table.

"W-What are you going to do?"

Yin Xiu glanced at his handcuffs out of the corner of his eye. They had unknowingly turned slightly orange, as if killing too many people would indeed cause contamination. He then loosened his grip on the knife handle and walked directly to the player who had spoken earlier. Under the player's terrified gaze, he calmly took the plate in front of him.

"I don't see that you're very hungry, so why don't you just give it to me?"

Player: ?!

He hasn't eaten a single bite yet!

Then, Yin Xiu expressionlessly took away one plate, two plates, three plates... and piled all the other players' food in front of Ya Ya. Then, he smiled coldly with a faint smile, "My child can eat a lot. You shouldn't mind if she eats one more of your food, right?"

The players, their throats choked with hunger, dared not speak, just swallowing their saliva as they watched Ya Ya eat with her mouth greasy.
