Chapter 140 - Chapter 140 Why are you ignoring me again?

After the bell rang, the teacher's slender figure slowly left the classroom.

Yin Xiu also planned to get up, go to the cafeteria first, then back to the dormitory, and then secretly go to the teachers' dormitory to complete the information that Ye Tianxuan had not obtained.

But the students in the classroom were a little different today. Instead of leaving the classroom immediately after the bell rang as usual, they all got up and walked towards Yin Xiu.

Yin Xiu immediately became alert as he watched the students approach, but the students did not show any sense of danger. Instead, they asked him with smiles.

"Yin Xiu, would you like to go out for dinner with me later?"

"Yes, come have lunch with us today to promote friendly relations among classmates."

"It's important to maintain good communication with your classmates; we also want to get to know you better."

"Come with us."

As they invited him, distorted faces appeared before Yin Xiu's eyes. He quickly turned his head away, refusing to look at them, and simply waved his hand dismissively, "No need, I'll go myself."

As he was about to get up and walk out, before he could take a step, the girl with compound eyes on her body blocked Yin Xiu's way again.

"This is your homework." Today, she kindly copied Yin Xiu's homework as usual, but along with the homework, she also handed him a small red package.

She smiled demurely, "This is a gift for you."

Yin Xiu silently took the workbook, then looked at the small red box in her hand. "A gift...?"

"Mmm." The girl nodded with a smile.

Yin Xiu looked at the box thoughtfully, then at the strange creature in front of him. Under Yin Xiu's gaze, the eyes on her body looked away in a panic, as if they were very embarrassed.

"A gift for me?" Yin Xiu asked again, his expression somewhat puzzled.

"Yes!" the girl nodded excitedly.

Yin Xiu raised his hand, trying to take it, but as soon as his right hand reached out, his left hand suddenly rose up and grabbed it, trying to prevent him from taking it.

Campus rule six: You must accept gifts from classmates; you cannot refuse them.

Yin Xiu had no choice but to accept this obvious gift.

He touched his left hand, comforted Li Mo, then took the gift box and nodded, "Thank you."

"You're welcome." The girl covered her face shyly and ran away quickly.

The others in the room clapped and celebrated joyfully, "Congratulations to Yin Xiu on integrating into our class!"

"Congratulations to Yin Xiu for finally taking his relationship with his classmate to the next level."

Congratulations!

Amidst the noise, Yin Xiu began to feel dizzy and had tinnitus again, so he hurriedly grabbed the gift box and left the classroom.

Stepping out of the classroom and into a secluded spot, countless tentacles sprouted from its left hand, snatching the gift box from Yin Xiu's right hand. Simultaneously, liquid dripped down, transforming into a human form.

Li Mo raised his hand and pressed it against the wall, with Yin Xiu positioned between them. He smiled and shook the small gift box between his fingers. "You can accept it, but you can't open it."

Yin Xiu glanced at the gift box in his hand out of the corner of his eye. "Is it okay to just take a look at what it is?"

"No." Li Mo shoved the gift box into her mouth and swallowed it. "You can't open it. This is a gift from something bad."

Yin Xiu watched him swallow silently, not wanting to pry his mouth open and make him spit it out, so he turned his head away and said in a muffled voice, "Alright."

Li Mo pinched his chin and turned his head back to where it was, saying, "I know you like receiving gifts. If you like them, I can give them to you, but you can't open any gifts from weird or unknown sources."

"Oh." Yin Xiu replied indifferently, his eyes lowered, but his expression betrayed his true feelings.

Li Mo stared at him, then spat the gift box out of her mouth and held it in her hand. "You accept anything from a monster?"

Yin Xiu calmly looked back at him, "No, it's just that she's been pretty good to me. She lets me copy her homework every day, and I'm curious what she'll give me."

Li Mo narrowed his eyes slightly. It seemed that Yin Xiu's attitude towards that girl had changed a little. He used to be wary of her. It could only be said that this instance knew Yin Xiu's weakness too well.

"That weirdo in the cafeteria was right. You really do soften towards people who show you kindness." Li Mo tossed the gift box into his mouth again, this time not swallowing it whole, but chewing it up with his teeth before swallowing it, leaving Yin Xiu no chance.

"If it can't be demolished, it simply can't be demolished."

Yin Xiu stared at him, his emotions complicated. He knew that Li Mo was doing it for his own good, but he felt inexplicably awkward.

When he felt depressed, the tinnitus and dizziness that bothered him returned.

He simply turned his head away and left the teaching building without saying a word, heading towards the cafeteria.

Li Mo followed behind him, giving a warning smile to all the classmates who approached Yin Xiu, and followed Yin Xiu into the cafeteria.

As usual, the auntie serving lunch greeted Yin Xiu with a smile and said, "get out of class is over? Auntie has prepared your lunch."

She pushed a plate out the window to Yin Xiu, then leaned her slender neck out of the window and whispered to Yin Xiu, "I remember my sister's dormitory had records about this school from the past, as well as some changes now."

"She's a teacher, so she knows this place better than I do, since I work in the cafeteria. Maybe you could go and check on her."

Yin Xiu nodded. This was the same information Ye Tianxuan had conveyed, so there must be some important information in the teaching building.

"Thank you, Auntie."

"You're welcome." Auntie smiled, but then caught sight of Li Mo standing behind Yin Xiu out of the corner of her eye. Suddenly, she paused, her brows furrowing. "The person standing behind you... is that your classmate?"

Yin Xiu turned to look at Li Mo's smiling face and softly replied, "Mm."

My aunt's expression was complicated. "I think it's better if you don't get too close to your classmates..."

Yin Xiu looked calmly at Li Mo, who was smiling behind him, his gaze lingering on Li Mo's face for a few seconds before turning to his aunt. "Why?"

"Your classmate might not be as simple as you think…" Auntie stared at Li Mo nervously, her whole body on high alert, as if facing a formidable enemy. "If you stay with it for too long, it will only drag you into the abyss."

"He won't." Yin Xiu calmly picked up his plate. He knew very well that the monsters in the dungeon would be wary of Li Mo.

"That's not necessarily true... Dangerous beings are the best at hiding their danger." Aunt stared at Li Mo, her words carrying a deeper meaning.

Li Mo glared at her unhappily. She was also a wicked and strange person, trying to drive a wedge between him and Yin Xiu.

Yin Xiu looked silently at his aunt and Li Mo, his gaze slightly somber. Not knowing how to respond, he turned and picked up his plate to eat.

After he sat down, the monsters quickly crowded around him, happily chatting with Yin Xiu and showing him concern.

"How about we sit here and eat with you?"

"What do you like to eat? Is it this chicken leg? I like it too."

"Have you finished your homework? I haven't done any yet. It's so annoying. I need to finish it before I get back to the dorm."

"Yeah, take your homework back to the dorm after you finish it. I heard that recently there have been weirdos in the classrooms in the mornings forcing students to do their homework for them. I wonder who it is."

"It's because nobody wants to do their homework, that's perfectly normal. If I had the strength, I'd have someone do my homework for me too, hahaha."

"I must be the one who was forced to do homework."

The students chatted amongst themselves, their lively voices drifting over, a stark contrast to the quiet atmosphere of Yin Xiu's meal.

One of the students suddenly turned to look at Yin Xiu and asked, "By the way, have you finished your homework?"

Yin Xiu was slightly taken aback, "No..."

"I haven't done it yet either. I need to finish my meal quickly and go back to do my homework."

"Yeah yeah."

The atmosphere was lively when the students, who were having a happy discussion, suddenly fell silent and quickly turned away from Yin Xiu's vicinity as if they had seen something terrifying.

Yin Xiu watched them leave, puzzled. When he turned around, he saw Li Mo sitting next to him with a gloomy expression. Although he was smiling, his eyes were full of depression.

Why are you ignoring me again?
