Chapter 84 - An Open Invitation

Hayoon suddenly smiled and said to both of them, "I ate too much at lunch, so I am not hungry. What about you two? Are you hungry?"

It was not that late yet. If they lit a fire and roasted some meat, it would not take much time.

As expected, both Minho and Chorong said they were not hungry.

The amount of activity they had done that afternoon was practically the same as lying down and breathing for them.

So the three of them said their goodbyes.

Hayoon walked into the cave, lay down on the beast hide, closed her eyes, and slowly drifted to sleep.

The next morning, the rising sun had just appeared.

Hayoon first went to check on the kiln.

The two werebeast who had stayed overnight had already rotated out to rest, and new guards were now patrolling there.

The kiln was still hot to the touch from the outside, so there was no rush.

Hayoon turned back toward Chorong's cave.

The fifteen people coming to learn had already arrived.

Besides fourteen sub-werebeast, there was also Chorong himself.

Meeting Hayoon's gaze, Chorong explained, "I am the chief, so I should learn together with them. Do not worry, I probably will not slow everyone down too much."

Hayoon smiled slightly. "I was not worried."

Yesterday, Chorong had also made a pottery mold that looked fairly decent.

It was not that werebeast were completely incapable of delicate handiwork.

They were simply not as naturally skilled at it.

Just like how sub-werebeast were physically weaker than werebeast , yet with enough skill they could still hunt or even knock down a werebeast in human form.

Today, Minho, Jisoo, and the others once again went hunting with the Voz-Karr Tribe werebeast.

Immo did not go gathering.

Instead, she stayed behind to assist Hayoon.

After confirming that everyone was ready, Hayoon did not waste time with unnecessary words.

She took the waist loom from her space and began explaining it to everyone.

Including Chorong and Ahri, all fifteen people listened with complete focus, staring in astonishment at the movements of her hands.

Just like when she first demonstrated it in the Ur-Shet Tribe, after finishing the explanation, she took out some pre-spun thread and wove a short section right in front of them.

Everyone stared without blinking as the bundle of hemp thread moved through Hayoon's slender fingers and gradually transformed into smooth, even cloth.

"Oh My Beast God..."

Even though they had prepared themselves mentally beforehand, they were still so shocked that goosebumps rose across their skin.

"Once we learn from you, we will be able to weave cloth this good too!" one of the sub-werebeast exclaimed, her eyes red with excitement.

"I am so lucky to have been chosen for the first group learning weaving!"

"I really want to master it quickly and weave my own cloth!"

"Exactly!"

"Hayoon, can I touch the cloth later? It looks so smooth, neat, and beautiful!"

Hayoon's hands did not stop moving.

Feeling genuinely embarrassed, she said, "You can touch it. Actually, in our tribe, my weaving skills are only average. Auntie Immo is much better than me. Auntie," she turned toward the elegant woman, "why do you not weave a section instead? I can stand up and explain things to everyone."

Immo did not refuse. "Alright."

The two carefully exchanged places, and Immo began weaving.

Most of the people present were sub-werebeast.

The moment she started, everyone immediately understood the difference.

Even Hayoon could tell that with the same tool and the same thread, the cloth Immo wove somehow looked far more refined, making Hayoon's section seem dull in comparison.

Hayoon tried hard to stay calm. She cleared her throat lightly and said, "Everyone, pay close attention to Auntie Immo's hand movements…"

That entire morning, Hayoon led everyone in carving wood and making tools.

It was nearly noon before everyone finally began weaving cloth with their own waist looms.

One noteworthy thing was that they had also brought two metal tools with them.

With sharp metal blades in hand, carving wood became much easier.

This group of sub-werebeast learned especially quickly.

It was obvious they were among the most capable members of the tribe.

Hayoon barely needed to put in much effort before everyone had already grasped the basics.

Chorong also learned surprisingly well.

Hayoon quietly observed for a while before deciding to find something else to do.

Her gaze wandered around before finally settling on the metal knives.

One was a small knife, and the other was a chopping blade, both forged from the material Chorong called "Blacksilver."

"You can pick them up and examine them," Chorong's gentle voice sounded beside her.

Getting caught off staring, Hayoon smiled awkwardly. "Thank you, Chief Chorong. Then I will not be polite."

After examining it for a longer time this round, Hayoon basically confirmed that the so-called "Blacksilver" was mostly aluminum.

An aluminum blade was not especially hard, so it could not cut through overly tough wood, and the craftsmanship was fairly rough.

Still, the edge was sharp enough for carving small sticks and wooden boards.

After playing with it for a while, Hayoon suddenly heard Choryong's voice beside her.

"Do you like it?" he asked with a smile.

Hayoon nodded honestly.

Choryong said seriously, "Then would you consider living in our tribe? If you come, the tribe will give this small knife to you."

Hayoon froze.

Her first reaction was to look toward Immo.

Sure enough, Immo's expression had already darkened slightly.

"Chief Choryong, don't joke with me," Hayoon said. "This knife must have cost a lot of supplies to trade for, right?"

"I'm not joking. Our Voz-Karr Tribe truly welcomes you."

While Hayoon had been explaining the principles and use of the waist loom earlier, Choryong had kept wondering just how her clever mind worked.

Previously, the cloth they traded from the Ur-Shet Tribe had been passed around through many hands in the tribe.

The thing everyone said most often was: "This cloth is amazing. How in the world is it woven?"
