Chapter 8 - Kidnapping

Jay's POV

"Good morning, Jay-Jay," Angelo and Tita Gemma said in sync.

"Good morning, Kuya," I replied, my eyes fixed on my shoes.

"Good morning, Tita."

"I'll be upstairs," I said with a quick smile.

"Okay," Tita replied warmly.

I headed upstairs and freshened up. I was about to take a nap when my phone buzzed — it was a message from C-in.

Messages:

C-in: Jay, come to my house quickly!

Jay: Why?

C-in: Just come, please 🥺🥺

Jay: Fine.

Sighing, I went downstairs and told Angelo, "I'm going out!"

"Okay, but take care," he reminded me.

"Opo," I said before stepping out.

As I walked down the street toward C-in's house, six men on motorbikes suddenly surrounded me. My heart pounded.

"What do you want?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"We want you," one of them said coldly as he got off his bike. Before I could move, he punched me hard in the stomach. Pain exploded through me. Another man came from behind and pressed a cloth over my face — a sharp, chemical smell filled my nose. The world spun and darkened fast.

Keifer's POV

I was scrolling on my phone, bored out of my mind, when an unknown number flashed on my screen. I answered without thinking.

Unknown caller: "We got your girl."

Keifer: "What! Who is this?"

Unknown caller: "If you don't come to this address… your girl will be in our bed."

The line went dead.

I ran a frustrated hand through my hair. My chest tightened — panic mixed with fury. Without wasting a second, I grabbed my keys, jumped into my car, and sped off.

I hit call.

Rory: "Hey, bro."

Keifer: "Rory, someone's kidnapped Jay! I need Section E here — now. Track her phone!"

Rory: "On it."

I pressed harder on the accelerator. Every second counted.

My head was pounding.

The first thing I noticed was the smell—dust, sweat, and something metallic. My wrists burned when I tried to move. They were tied behind the back of a cold metal chair.

"Hello?" My voice came out hoarse. "Is anyone there?"

A door creaked open. Heavy footsteps approached. One of the guys from earlier stepped into the light, helmet off now, a smug smile on his face.

"So, you're awake," he said. "Keifer's girl."

"Who are you ," I snapped, though my voice shook.

He laughed. "Doesn't matter. Your his girl… and that's all we need."

He grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him. I tried not to flinch. My heart was racing so fast I thought I might pass out again.

"Keifer will come for me," I said, forcing the words out. "And when he does, you'll regret touching me."

His smile faded just a little. "We'll see about that."

He let go of my face and walked out, the door slamming shut and plunging the room into half-darkness again.

Keifer's POV

Traffic blurred into streaks of light as I sped down the highway, my knuckles white on the steering wheel. Every worst-case scenario flashed in my head , each one worse than the last.

His phone rang over the car's Bluetooth.

"Rory, talk to me," he said.

"Got a ping," Rory replied. "Jay's phone last connected near an abandoned warehouse district, south side. I've already alerted Section E. They'll meet you two blocks away so we don't spook the kidnappers."

"Send me the exact location," Keifer said. "I'm almost there."

"Bro," Rory added, his voice dropping, "be careful. These guys don't sound like amateurs."

Keifer swallowed hard. "They made it personal. That was their mistake."

His phone buzzed again with the location. He pressed harder on the accelerator. Every second Jay was with them felt like a blade against his throat.

The night air reeked of oil and rain. I killed the headlights and rolled to a stop two blocks from the warehouse. Section E was aldready waiting .

Rory jumped out, tablet in hand. "Thermal scan shows at least four hostiles inside," he said quietly. "Jay's in the center room. Looks like she's restrained."

I reached the metal door. I could hear her breathing—fast, panicked.

"Jay," he whispered through the crack. "It's me."

She turned toward the sound. "Keifer?"

"Hang on." I cut the zip ties with my knife, catching her wrists before they dropped. The second i touched her, i heard her exhale a shaky breath of relief.

"Move!" Rory barked.

Gunfire erupted. I grabbed Jay, ducking behind a support beam as bullets sparked off metal. Only one of them had a gun I lunged at him pushing the gun away

c-in , felix and blaster punching each of the men

I pulled Jay toward the side exit while Rory covered us . The rest of them following a few minutes later . I held jay in my hands kissing her. Jay finally spoke " I knew you'd come" a tear falling from her face . i met her eyes, every ounce of tension draining from my mind. "I always will."
