Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: It’s Not Good to Go Hungry

Half an hour later, Mu Qiu stepped out of the kitchen carrying a tray.

On it sat a cheeseburger, a glass of whiskey on the rocks, and a glass of ice water.

A rich, mouthwatering aroma drifted from the burger, instantly filling the dining room.

Mu Qiu walked toward Tony Stark and Yinsen, who were staring at the tray as if hypnotized. One by one, he placed the dishes before them.

The fragrance grew even stronger—juicy beef mingling with creamy cheese—forming an invisible hand that gently scratched at Tony Stark's nose, stirring his hunger to the limit.

"Please enjoy."

With one hand behind his back and the other making a graceful gesture, Mu Qiu looked every bit the master chef.

"Delicious! Incredible!"

Tony ignored the pose completely. Drooling from hunger, he grabbed the burger and took a huge bite.

In that instant, Stark's eyes unfocused.

A storm of flavor exploded in his mouth—layers of intense richness crashing over his taste buds, forcing his mind into a blank stupor.

The soft sweetness of the bun combined with the crispy, tender, juicy beef.

Each bite bombarded his senses, flooding his brain with bliss.

"Unbelievable! Truly unbelievable! How can a burger taste like this? What was I eating before?!"

Tony was drowning in the ecstasy of flavor.

Meanwhile, the gourmet ingredients began working through his wounded body—soothing, repairing, nourishing.

Mind and body both comforted, he couldn't help but let a sly, satisfied grin curl at the corner of his mouth.

"Gulp… I'll… I'll take a cheeseburger too."

Across from him, Yinsen swallowed hard, unable to resist after seeing Tony's ecstatic expression. Hunger—and desire—overpowered restraint.

"Of course. Please wait just a moment."

Mu Qiu raised an eyebrow, smiling slightly. He had predicted this outcome the moment Tony took his first bite.

A hungry man watching another person enjoy food?

There was no resisting that temptation.

He returned to the kitchen and brought out the already prepared burger, placing it in front of Yinsen.

Then he pulled up a stool and sat nearby, watching the two devour their meals with great amusement.

Not long after, Tony Stark collapsed into his chair.

His stomach was round, his fingers greasy as he sucked them clean, letting out little burps of satisfaction.

"Burp—This is divine. Absolutely divine. I've never tasted anything like it. Impossible… just impossible…"

Tony praised it endlessly, waving his hands, gesturing wildly.

Yinsen nodded in complete agreement as he took another big bite, savoring every second.

Tony kept talking, and Mu Qiu remained silent.

Instead, he quietly doubled the price of the burger in his mind.

If they claimed it was a once-in-a-lifetime delicacy, then naturally, its price should reflect that status.

If Tony knew he had just talked himself into paying twice the original amount, he would probably feel embarrassed—but still force a proud smile and declare,

"Just think of it as a tip."

That mental image made Mu Qiu chuckle. He smoothed his expression and shifted his gaze toward the dimensional door.

With a flick of his finger, he sent a small object through it.

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away in the desert cave where Tony had been imprisoned, chaos was erupting.

A large group of armed men surrounded the wooden door, aiming their guns at it as if it were a monstrous creature about to swallow them whole.

"Move! Move aside!"

A loud voice boomed.

The crowd stirred, pushing and shoving before quickly clearing a path.

A fat man strutted inside, with a bald man following him.

The bald man ignored the chatter, his emotionless eyes glued to the wooden door.

"Play the footage."

He circled the door first, checking the cave to ensure no one was hiding. After confirming, he barked his order at three bruised and swollen men in the corner.

Judging by the beating they'd taken, it was clear they had suffered the consequences of Tony Stark's escape.

But none dared complain. One wrong expression and their boss would put a bullet through their head.

They hurriedly pulled up the surveillance footage.

Silence filled the cave.

Everyone watched intently as the video replayed the sudden appearance of the wooden door—and the disappearance of Tony Stark and Yinsen.

The bald man stared at the footage, his gaze deep and unreadable.

After a long moment, he turned to the fat man and said coldly:

"Bring ten rocket launchers. And two heavy machine guns."

All of this was witnessed by a tiny mosquito in the cave—one that belonged to Mu Qiu.

In the restaurant, Mu Qiu rubbed his temples.

"Seriously? Why is everyone so trigger-happy these days?"

Guns, rocket launchers…

If the cave were any bigger, they'd probably try firing missiles.

The restaurant and its equipment were indestructible by default.

Mu Qiu wasn't worried about the door being destroyed. Even if they fired until their arms fell off, the door wouldn't take a scratch.

What he was worried about…

was them opening the door and firing inside.

Mu Qiu could tank the damage.

The restaurant could too.

But Tony and Yinsen would die instantly.

"…What a headache."

He massaged his temples and muttered,

"Fine. I'll deal with them before they cause trouble.

Hmm… I should charge a service fee."

Decision made.

Mu Qiu took off his apron, tossed a phone to Tony, and spoke before Stark could react:

"You two are coming with me. We're going back to the cave to settle a few things. Call your friend Rhode and have him pick you up."

Before Tony could process the words, Mu Qiu grabbed both him and Yinsen—one in each hand—and strode toward the wooden door.

A few seconds passed in stunned silence.

Then Tony finally regained his senses.

"What?! What did you say?! If we go out now, there will be dozens of guns waiting to turn you into Swiss cheese!"

"Yes," Mu Qiu replied calmly. "Not just guns. Around ten rocket launchers too. All aimed and ready."

Tony froze.

The chef's unruffled expression made his heart tighten.

A chef running a magical, interdimensional restaurant…

He definitely wasn't normal.

And he clearly knew what he was doing.

As Tony processed this, the three of them stepped through the door and entered the cave.

Under dozens of stunned, gun-pointing gazes, Mu Qiu gently set Tony and Yinsen down.

Then he waved cheerfully.

"Yo! Have you guys eaten?

It's not good to go on a long trip hungry!"
