Cherreads

Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: I must take her down

Lia's eyes narrowed as she listened to the conversation on the phone. She had hacked into Ama's secretary's phone, and it seemed like she had stumbled onto something big.

"Yes, boss," Rachel said, her voice trembling. "I understand. I'll make sure to keep you updated."

Lia's grip on the phone tightened. She had suspected that Ama was involved in something bigger, but she hadn't expected it to be this big.

"Good," Ama said, her voice cold. "I expect results, Rachel. I don't pay you to sit around and do nothing."

Lia's mind was racing. She had to get more information. She quickly typed out a message to her contact, a brilliant hacker who went by the name of Zero Cool.

"Zero, I need you to dig deeper into Ama's organization. I think she's involved in something huge."

The response came back almost immediately. "I'm on it, Liya. But be careful, you're playing with fire."

Lia smiled wily. She knew she was taking a risk, but she was ready. She had been training for this moment for years.

As she waited for Zero to gather more information, Lia couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She glanced around the room, her eyes scanning the shadows.

Suddenly, she heard a noise behind her. She spun around, her heart racing.

But it was just a stray cat, which had wandered into the room.

Lia breathed a sigh of relief. She was getting jumpy. She needed to focus.

She turned her attention back to the phone, waiting for Zero to come back with more information.

The minutes ticked by, and finally, Zero's message came through.

"Liya, I've got something. Ama's organization is bigger than we thought. They're involved in human trafficking, money laundering... the list goes on and on."

Lia's eyes widened in horror. She had suspected that Ama was involved in something bad, but she had never imagined it was this bad.

She knew she had to take action. She couldn't let Ama continue to hurt innocent people.

Lia took a deep breath, her mind racing with possibilities. She was ready to take on Ama and her organization, no matter what it took.

She typed out a quick message to Zero. "Get the team ready. We're going in."

Lia's eyes locked onto the phone, her mind racing with a mix of determination and adrenaline. She was ready to take on Ama and her organization, but she knew it wouldn't be easy.

As she waited for Zero to gather the team, Lia couldn't help but think about her past. She had grown up with Ama's manipulation and control, always walking on eggshells, never knowing what would set her mom off.

But Lia had learned to adapt, to survive. She had taught herself how to fight, how to defend herself, and how to gather information. And now, she was about to put all those skills to use.

Zero's message came through, snapping Lia back to the present. "Team's ready, Liya. We're set to go in 30 minutes."

Lia took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest. This was it. She was ready to take on Ama and her organization, and she was going to make sure they paid for what they had done.

"Let's do this," Lia typed out, her fingers flying across the keyboard.

The team moved swiftly and quietly, surrounding the building where Ama's organization was hiding. Lia was in the front, her eyes locked onto the entrance.

As they moved in, Lia's adrenaline surged. This was it. She was going to take down Ama and her organization, and she was going to make sure they never hurt anyone again.

The team burst through the doors, taking the guards by surprise. Lia led the charge, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of Ama.

And then, she saw her. Ama was standing at the back of the room, a look of shock and anger on her face.

"Lia, what are you doing?" Ama shouted, her voice echoing through the room.

Lia smiled, a cold, hard smile. "I'm here to take you down, Ama. You're going to pay for what you've done."

Ama's face twisted in rage, and she pulled out a gun, pointing it at Lia. "You'll never take me down," she snarled.

Lia's eyes locked onto the gun, her heart pounding in her chest. But she didn't back down. She knew she had to keep moving, had to keep pushing forward.

And then, everything went black.

When Lia came to, she was lying on the floor, her head pounding with pain. She looked around, trying to take in her surroundings.

She was in a small, dimly lit room, with no windows and no doors. And she was alone.

Lia's heart sank. She had failed. She had tried to take down Ama and her organization, and she had failed.

But as she looked around the room, Lia's determination surged back. She was not going to give up. She was going to find a way out of this, and she was going to make sure Ama paid for what she had done.

Lia stood up, her eyes adjusting to the darkness. She was going to escape, and she was going to make sure Ama never hurt anyone again.

The game was far from over, and Lia was ready to play.

Lia's lungs burned as she ran through the darkness, her feet pounding against the cold, hard floor. She had no idea where she was or where she was going, but she knew she had to keep moving. The darkness was suffocating, pressing in on her from all sides, making it hard to breathe.

She stumbled, her foot catching on something, and she fell hard onto the ground. The impact sent shockwaves through her body, but she scrambled to her feet, her heart racing.

"Hello?" she called out, her voice echoing through the darkness. "Is anyone there?"

There was no response, just the sound of her own ragged breathing.

Lia's mind was spinning. What was happening? Where was she? She had been in the room, and then...and then she had seen Ama, and...

Suddenly, a light flickered on, illuminating a figure standing in front of her.

Lia's eyes adjusted to the light, and she saw a woman standing in front of her, a mysterious smile on her face.

"Who are you?" Lia demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.

The woman didn't answer. Instead, she took a step closer, her eyes locked onto Lia's.

"I'm your savior," she said, her voice low and husky.

Lia's eyes narrowed. What was going on? Who was this woman?

"You're not Ama," Lia said, trying to piece together what was happening.

The woman laughed, a low, throaty sound. "No, I'm not Ama. I'm something much more than that."

Lia's mind was racing. What did that mean? And what did this woman want with her?

"Where am I?" Lia demanded, trying to keep her voice firm.

The woman smiled again, her eyes glinning with amusement. "You're in a place where you can be safe, Lia. A place where Ama can't hurt you again."

Lia's eyes narrowed. What did this woman know about Ama? And what did she want from her?

"How do you know my name?" Lia asked, her voice suspicious.

The woman's smile grew wider. "I know a lot about you, Lia. I've been watching you for a long time."

Lia's heart skipped a beat. What did that mean? And what did this woman want from her?

She took a step back, her eyes locked onto the woman's. "I don't know what you want, but I'm not going anywhere with you."

The woman's smile didn't falter. "Oh, Lia. You don't have a choice. You're coming with me, whether you like it or not."

Lia's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. She was not going to let this woman take her without a fight.

She tensed, ready to make a move, when the woman spoke again.

"But don't worry, Lia. I'm here to help you. I'm here to make sure Ama never hurts you again."

Lia's eyes locked onto the woman's, her mind racing with questions. What did this woman want from her? And was she telling the truth?
