Chapter 2 - Chapter One - Rebirth and New Worlds

One thousand years later, Miya Katagari walked home from college. She was a nineteen year old with black silky hair and sky blue eyes. She walked to the flower store, and bought beautiful dandelion flowers. Her footsteps were quiet as she started to head over to the cemetery. As she arrived at the gate, she stepped in then walked over to her parents' grave and kneeled on one knee.

"Hey mom and dad, I hope you're doing pretty well. I went out to buy your favorite flowers and came to give it to you both."

Miya remained calm, but tears started filling her eyes, making her vision blurry. Her tears dropped onto the grave, and then wiped her eyes immediately afterwards.

"Heh. I miss you both. Also, I've been doing well in college, I got an A on my final exam. Final week of college is over mom and dad. I hope you both are proud of me. Even though I know you are." Miya let out a slight chuckle as she stood up and rubbed the grass off her clothes. She glanced at her parents grave, then slowly, a smile appeared on her face.

"I'll be heading to sis' grave now. Take care and I love you both."

She then left and walked over to her sis' grave. Her hands trembled as she held the bouquet of roses as she arrived at her sister's grave. She kneeled again and placed the roses down gently.

"Hey sis. I hope you're doing better. After the accident and all. I know you've always been kind to me, but I never get to repay that kindness. So I got you your favorite roses, and I'd like to give you something."

Miya took out a drawing she made as a little kid. She drew it for her sister even when she was really busy with work and school. Miya placed it down on her grave with a smile, and sat down with legs crossed.

"I know you were busy, but when we were younger, I always drew you pictures. You were always busy with nursing school, always trying to be a nurse. You were dedicated and you're a sibling I didn't deserve. You were so kind. Anyways, I'll be heading home now. I love you sis, and I wish you a good life."

Miya stood up and smiled as she left. She walked home with her bag on her back. She walked out of the cemetery, then some gunshots happened around the area. She glanced over at the direction where the gunshots were happening. She sighed and ignored it as she continued walking back home.

I'm tired… My sleep schedule isn't good either, so when I arrive home I'll be sleeping…

Miya yawned as she arrived back at her apartment. She then entered, and locked the door behind her as she took off her shoes and went to her room. She then dropped her bag off next to her work desk. She then flopped onto her bed, then tucked herself in with her blanket as she started to drift off to sleep.

The next morning, she woke up at 10 AM and started getting dressed. Miya yawned and started fixing her hair with a brush and went downstairs as she started making herself some coffee. As she finished, she took a long sip from her hot coffee in her little mug. She put down the mug and started cooking up some eggs and pancakes with bacon.

So tired… wondering what's happening on the news today..

Miya turns the TV on as the news appears. She watches the news as she cooks her breakfast. That was then she immediately noticed something on the news that got her attention.

What—? A crack in the sky? How weird. How can that truly be though? Maybe it's just a dream. I'll just ignore it for now and focus on gradua—

Her thoughts stopped mid sentence. The TV stopped releasing sounds from the speakers. Everything around her stopped.

Time didn't slow down, it stopped flowing throughout the entire universe. In this time stop, it was all black and white. There were no thoughts nor concepts moving in this time stop. Matter had even stopped in its tracks. That was when a black-haired and piercing crimson eyes had arrived into the world. She didn't teleport nor go through a magical portal. This beauty of a goddess had just existed across the timeline.

"Hello Miya. While time has stopped, I like to say I've been sent to come pick you up. You have been picked by the master, and have been chosen to become a goddess. Hehe, so, once I resume time, you'll become disoriented and confused for a few seconds." says the mysterious goddess. She then put her hand on her shoulder, then teleported to

the otherworld.

The goddess disappeared slowly as she snapped her finger, resuming time. Miya blinked and her eyes roamed around. She felt disoriented and confused a bit like the goddess said she'll feel.

Huh? What's going on…?

Miya's vision was blurry a bit as she rubbed while still disoriented. As her vision came back to normal, she noticed the different environment. The vibe was different from her normal world. Her eyes widened as the realization was starting to hit.

"What the?! This is different! Far different! No way! What the hell is going on here?!"

Miya shouted in panic as she looked around. The sun was out as it was windy. Other species were roaming around and noticed there was a large city. There were large mountain ranges around as well. Miya then walked into the city and went up to a civilian with panic.

"Hey, sir? Do you know where I am?"

The civilian glanced over at her with a surprised look.

"This is Chronostele, a city of peace. Are you lost?"

The civilian asks with a calming tone. Miya wasn't so sure what was happening still, but she shook her head, realizing that these are part of the wolf species. The beastkin then roamed around the city.

Beast-like appearances? Holy shit! If this place is called Chronostele then…?

Her mind raced in panic.

"I'm in another world?!"

Miya shouted in panic as her voice echoed through the small part of the city. Sweat drops from her forehead, she was anxious about these other species. Miya walked around the city, confirmed she's in another world. She taps her chin lightly as she thinks.

This is another world alright… the world I'm from doesn't have beastkins. It's all weird to me, but yet also moving too fast.

Her thoughts calmed down as she continued walking, until she noticed an arena. Then she sighs and ignores it as she roams around some more, until she sees a motel.

A motel? Yeah… Sadly, I don't have the money for that. The currency here is most definitely different from my hometown…

Sweat dripped from the side of her face as she wore a nervous smile. Miya continued walking as she scratched the back of her head. She was unsure as she is still processing the situation she is in. Miya continued to walk, then yawned, noticing the sun was setting.

"Sun's setting… I should find a spot to sleep at huh? Better find one quick too."

Miya says as she looks for a spot or place to sleep at. The more she walked, the more exhausted she was. As she notices a little shelter, she walks towards it and sits down on the bench outside. A woman opened up the door, noticing Miya sitting out alone as her wolf ears drooped a bit.

"Hey ma'am? Do you need somewhere to sleep? You can come in if you'd like too."

The woman gestures to her to come inside as her tail swishes a bit. Miya glanced at her and noticed her tail and ears. It was another beastkin.

"Oh. Sure."

Miya sighed in relief as she entered the shelter. The woman started leading her to her room. As they reached her room, she opened up the door and gestured to go in.

"Here's your room. It's not much, but it's something right?"

"Yeah. Thanks for that."

Miya responded with kindness while the woman nodded and bowed with respect as she left to go back to her desk. Miya then walked into her room and flopped onto the bed again and laid there in peace. The mattress, pillow, sheets and bedding was all comfy which causes Miya to start to drift off to sleep.

The sun starts rising a few hours later, then Miya stretches and yawns lazily. The woman who took her in, came in with breakfast and coffee. She glances at them and takes the cup of coffee.

"Thanks…"

"You're welcome. I hope you had a good sleep!"

The woman left as she smiled. Miya's hair was disheveled after waking up. She gets ready for the morning, then slowly brushes her hair. As she finishes, she takes a sip of her coffee and stood up from bed then went down to the kitchen. She immediately sees others as well who needed shelter. Miya sighs as she walks out of the shelter home, then the woman looks at her with a confused expression.

"Where ya going?"

the woman says calmly as her curiosity piques.

"I'm going on my journey."

Miya responds quietly as she is still half asleep.

"Alright! Well good luck!"

The woman shouts in excitement as she waves at Miya. She then waved back as she continued walking. While she explored around Chronostele, there was a bird flying over her that acts as a spying device. It was from an unknown world.

"Good… she's the one. Her presence is interesting so I'm curious what she's like." the mysterious voice speaks as it echoes through the world she's in. She sat there then started laughing.

"You can just teleport her here, you know?" says another mysterious voice.

"Heh, you're right." The mysterious voice speaks as she snaps her fingers, not only summoning Miya into the world, but also bringing her consciousness.

Miya glanced around and noticed the differences between worlds. Her head tilted in confusion as she looked around.

Huh? Where am I? I got teleported here and I didn't even have time to react!

Her thoughts became panic as well as her heart. Miya had a confused expression as she started exploring the location she is in currently. She was unsure about where she was, until a little spirit poofed into existence.

"Heyo! Nice to meet ya! I'm the Spirit of Time! You must be… who?" the Spirit of Time asks curiously as Miya is still trying to process everything, including the teleportation.

"I'm uhh… Miya. Who are you? And why am I here exactly?" Miya responds with other questions as she continues to glare at the Spirit of Time.

"Well! This is the world known as the Data World. A realm which is known to be as universes!"

"The… what now?"

"The Data World silly goose! It's an alternate universe where it holds bookshelves that encompasses space-time continuums! The bookshelves that hold these aren't usually affected by space-time as I put my magic on it. Also, these space-time continuums are infinite in size." says the Spirit of Time. Her behavior was childish, just like how a child would go for candy immediately after seeing them in a candy shop.

The Data World? How… intriguing. Heh.

"Yes! Intriguing indeed! Let me show you around, it's nice having new guests in this world!"

Wait! She can read minds?? Holy shit!

Miya's thoughts were in shock as the Spirit of Time gestured to her to follow her around. She nodded then followed the Spirit of Time for a tour.

"So! Here's the bookshelves I was talking about! It holds space-time continuums and events like I said hehe!" she chuckled childishly as Miya glanced over at the bookshelves. She continues the tour around the Data World as she then snaps her fingers revealing a door to somewhere.

A door? Where would this lead too? Probably somewhere interesting or maybe a library?

"Hehe! It's a door that leads to my extradimensional library! Basically my very own pocket dimension!" she shouts with pure joy and excitement.

The Spirit of Time shows her around the four-dimensional library.

"It's not just any ordinary room! It's a library full of advanced space and time magic! Of course it requires a lot of mana which you lack. You sadly got zero as of right now, though you'll get there!" The Spirit of Time's cheerful personality was odd to Miya, but she smiled a bit.

"So, is it just space-time magic?"

Miya asked curiously as the Spirit of Time glanced at her while she was going through the books.

"No, of course not! There's other magic that is pretty advanced! Like using spatial magic to traverse or sealing those in one place!"

The Spirit of Time circled Miya with a bright smile. Her body was petite as well which allowed her to move faster than any usual mage. Miya glanced at the other books, then started picking up one book after another, reading them. The Spirit of Time started fixing up her so-called librarian desk as she put up more books. Miya had continued searching through the magic books, but found one that had interested her.

"Hey, what's this?"

Miya questions as she starts to open up the book. The Spirit of Time glanced over to her direction, and noticed the book she picked up, but pushed it off to the side like dust, but suddenly remembered about it. Her eyes widened in shock and flew to her immediately at light speed.

"Don't open that! That's the Sacred Book! Put it back right now!"

"Huh? Why? What's wrong with it?"

"It's the Sacred Book of Events! That's what it's called! If you open up that book, not only the mythical creatures and overlords from those destroyed timelines will happen to appear, and will also haunt you until you're dead! I had a hard time sealing them myself, so don't you open that!" the Spirit of Time shouts in concern. Stress was settling in and Miya sighed as she closed the book and put it back onto the shelf.

"Fine, but I'm not sure what you meant about the destroyed timelines and mythical creatures. I would love some explanation on that."

Miya calmly says as the Spirit of Time sighs in relief. She glanced at Miya with a serious look in her eyes.

"The destroyed timelines are known as the Forbidden Timelines. They are timelines in which held creatures that had the power to rival archangels themselves, and with that power, they can destroy all of reality. That's why the timelines are forbidden. So opening that book will release those creatures and it will lead to the collapse of many worlds and realities!"

The Spirit of Time was worried about the events. Miya hadn't realized how serious the situation was until she even brought it up. She feared that realities would collapse again.

"So you're telling me, you've sealed the forbidden timelines and mythical creatures within this book by trapping them for eternity?"

Miya was in shock after hearing this information. The Spirit of Time nodded to confirm her question. The room was full of tense energy, then the Spirit of Time smiled again.

"Let's forget about it ok?"

"Uh… sure? But this isn't something to forget about though."

"Just drop it."

The Spirit of Time had responded with a

serious tone, then she wore another smile to ignore and avoid opening the book. As the Spirit of Time opened up the door, back to the Data World. Miya sighed.

Regardless of what happened in the four-dimensional library, the Spirit of Time had finished up the tour with Miya. She glanced at the spirit and was processing the information still. Then, Miya had a question that popped up in her head.

"So, I have two questions for you, umm— what's your name exactly?"

"My name? Well, my name is Diane, to be fair, it doesn't sound like a fitting name for a spirit like me. The Spirit God had given each spirit's names."

The Spirit of Time, or known as Diane, looked at Miya calmly. Miya, however, was confused about the spirit god and now has more questions that she wants to ask. Diane notices her expression, knowing she has more questions about the physiology of the Spirit God and who it is.

"The Spirit God?"

"Yes. The Spirit God, he's uhh… interesting. He's the creator of all abstract spirits. Our entire existence is just abstract."

This had gained Miya's interest in understanding the physiology of these said beings.

"So.. you spirits are metaphysical in the world?"

Diane nodded in confirmation while Miya was surprised about this information. Of course, this brought up some theories she's studied before getting summoned.

Huh… metaphysics and abstract existences. Theories… I get it now!

Miya's thoughts continued to remain calm as she roamed around with Diane. As they explore the Data World, Diane glanced at the center of the realm in which is an altar of a book. She giggled as they walked over to the altar, and glanced at Miya.

"Hey Miya, I forgot to mention, I can unlock part of your potential."

Diane says with a bright smile, even after the serious talk. Miya glanced at her with a surprised expression as she put out her hands in front of Miya. That was the moment when Diane started chanting in an ancient language. A language only the Spirits knows. The chanting goes on for a few minutes, then finishes. As it finishes, Miya has felt some differences, her potential in the new world is unlocked, and now she has the ability to sense other physical and spiritual beings' presence through mana. Her abilities were now unlocked as Diane smiled brightly.

That was until a beautiful lady had appeared through a dimensional gate. Her hair was white like the clouds while her eyes were strikingly red. When she walked through, she noticed Diane and Miya with a smile.

"Oh? Who's this hm?"

"This is Miya! She's really beautiful with her blue eyes. Am I right?"

Diane's smile was bright like it could shine a whole dark room. Miya glanced over at her with a confused look on her face. She was still trying to feel out her powers, then glanced up at the beauty of a lady that was in front of her.

"Oh! Yeah, sure. People do say I'm beautiful or pretty. Heh."

The mysterious figure in front of her glanced at her appearance. Miya chuckled a bit as she noticed horns on her head.

"Oh? Noticed my horns huh? Yeah, I'm uhh… I'm a demon. But anyways, they aren't wrong about you being pretty. I would say you're a bit too pretty for your age." The mysterious figure smiles as she looks into Miya's eyes.

"Thank you for that Miss uhh… What's your name?"

"Aurora, just call me Aurora."

Aurora responded with a beautiful smile. She stood there as Miya smiled back. She didn't question anything about her.

"Pleasure to meet you, Aurora. So uhh… tell me about this place."

Miya politely asks with curiosity.

"Well, like the Spirit of Time said, it's the Data World. I basically created this world. It's an infinitely-expanding sixth-dimensional world in between space-time. It's also a world that holds the lower-dimensional planes. What I'm saying is it's a transcendental world over the lower planes of existence."

Aurora responds calmly as her smile widens a bit. The Spirit of Time nodded while she grinned. Miya glanced at Aurora with a shocked expression. She didn't know how to process it, until her brain finally got everything processed within a short timespan of being there. Her brain had adapted and absorbed all the information that was given by Aurora and Diane.
