Chapter 7 - Bombshell

In a hospital in the outer central area of Glassport City, inside an emergency room, a young man lying on a hospital bed, his form covered by white blankets with an IV connected to his arm, slowly opened his eyes.

James first stared at the ceiling, using the seconds that passed to boot up his brain, the previous activities that occurred pouring in and the current state of his body being fully registered.

He lay for up to a minute, then, with a groan moved his arms, applying pressure on them and pushing himself up.

To the side was a glass of water, and James reached for it.

Relief washed through him as he downed the glass, then he turned his neck both sides and rolled his shoulders.

"Seems I'm okay," James thought, wiggling his toes.

He suddenly stopped his inspection, frowning, and his hands went up to his head, feeling it and making out the bandage which had been wrapped around it.

"Guess I took a nasty hit," he murmured, scenes of when the car had been sent flipping flashing in his head.

James's eyes dropped as he remembered what he had been up to before his car had been hit.

Shame and confusion began grasping at his soul, then the door of the room opened.

He kept his head bowed as footsteps rang out, a figure making their way to his bedside where they finally stopped.

Staring down at the blanket, James waited for the figure to speak, but no words came, just the person's shadow hovering over him, and then he turned his head to the left and looked up.

 "Beautiful."

It was a woman that stood at James's side, an unnatural-looking one. She had long red hair, a slightly oval face which was fair, and unimaginably smooth skin.

The woman's red lips showed no sign of artificial tampering; it looked all natural and it provoked the desire to be claimed.

James's head was still muddled with emotions he did not know how to unravel, but the beauty of the woman was not something he could ignore, it imposed itself on him completely.

The woman was breathtaking, but there were two oddities about her that could not be ignored.

"You're not a nurse," James said, having just managed to take his eyes from her chest which boasted large round melons, this deadly asset making themselves known despite the white-collared black gown she had on.

He would have taken her for a nun, but she had on a necklace with a face which he could not just make out hanging from her neck.

Also, he did not get a vibe of holiness from her; staring at her made him feel jittery and excited.

"I am not," the woman said with a voice so soft James couldn't help but swallow.

Without warning, she turned and took a seat on the bed beside him, and James's eyes immediately trained on the curviness of her waist, which was revealed, her large butt spreading on the mattress.

James stared, his mind taken aback at how the woman's cheeks flattened, expanding and pushing against the confines of her gown which was already large in itself.

 "My eyes are up here."

 "Huh?"

James blinked rapidly, regained his senses, his face slightly turning red as he realized he had been caught leering.

"Sorry about that, you're just really attractive," he carefully said, opting for a non-offensive word.

Focusing on the woman, this time her face, he lifted his hands and waved it in front of her.

"How many fingers am I holding up?"

This was the second oddity; the woman had her eyes wrapped in black bandages, and considering her actions so far he was curious.

"Three. Despite the bandages I can see quite clearly," the woman said softly, her expression neutral, giving away no information on her thoughts.

A new question popped up in James's head, but he pushed it aside and decided to focus on the most important one.

 "Who are you?"

The woman didn't reply; she instead brought forward her right fist, opening her palm to show a red slightly rusted coin lying on her palm.

 "Take it."

 "Why?"

There was no imprint on the coin; it had just one line circling within it.

Though the woman's eyes were covered, James felt she had suddenly narrowed them, and he slightly leaned back in caution.

The thought of the woman being present to harm him had crossed James's mind, but so far he felt no danger from her, and also what did he do that would require such a beauty to end him.

"Are you a superhero?" James asked as the woman closed her palm and retreated with her arm, her face turning in the direction of the window, the bright light of the morning pouring through it.

 "No," she replied.

"You know, it's kind of weird, you just coming in here and offering me a coin.

You need to offer me more information."

James didn't know if he said something to trigger her, but by the end of his sentence, she stood to her feet and threw up the coin in her grasp, having it land on the bed beside him.

"James, what is more important to a man, his pride or his dick?"

James's mood collapsed immediately. The arrival of the woman and her unique features had distracted him, but in an instant she kicked him right on his wound.

The curiosity which had been on his face faded for a frown, and not even able to look at her, he spoke.

 "Leave."

"I'm not here to mock you, I couldn't care less what size your dick is, rather I have an opportunity for you.

If you're interested in improving your condition, drop your blood on that coin."

The woman didn't give James the chance to be confused; the coin lying to his side, on its own, floated up in the air and moved in front of him, hovering in his face.

 "How…."

The door to the room was pushed open and James's head snapped forward as a woman in white, clearly a nurse, stepped in.

"James, it's good to see you're awake," she said, approaching with a smile.

James immediately looked to his left to find no one, but looking down at the sheets he saw the red coin, and before the nurse could notice it, he swiped it away, turning to her with a confused look.
