Damian don't know what to say, he just wants to take vengeance but got the curse of long life instead. Yep, in his eyes, any life prolonging more than 100 years is nothing but a curse. 100 years is enough suffering for a soul, living itself can be hard sometimes.
And he got something he disdained everytime he heard it. Could it be his karma? Damian sighed after a few minutes. Maybe he should have left the philosopher's stone be after getting some elixir of life. Then he shouldn't have this kind of trouble now.
The last classes are boring, the professors reprimanded Damian for not attending the class and took some points away from Slytherin. Compared to what he earned this is nothing. Then the exams week appeared, Damian on other hand is quite relaxed, to him it's not that difficult, he learned almost all knowledge upto sixth year thanks to Aberforth of course, as the old man's requirements are too high for him.
Aberforth taught him how to avoid reading unimportant or nonsense in the books. This may seem like skipping but it's not, it's actually quite effective in his studies. The text books have 40% general nonsense, public assumptions and unofficial articles printed into it. And these are all scrap compared to the real lessons.
The exams aren't that tough, but what annoyed him is Hermione arguing about answers. It's close to a nightmare, she is persistent and dead set on her choice of answers. She also argued about the assumption nonsense with him for a quite a bit of time making him have a headache.
Especially in Transfiguration, There is a chapter called Graham's assumptions that's just real world examples on how to apply transfiguration and practices there, but Hermione is persistent it's important. Since he has no time to argue with this girl, he just nodded.
But she is too persistent on her answers. Especially in Potions, Snape despised anyone who followed text book recipes on potions rather than their own experince and potion brewing knowledge. Unfortunately for Hermione, she is just the type to follow the steps of text book.
