The wind was cold and harsh. I was on a lonely journey of my own choosing when a window popped out of nowhere. It said, "You, warrior of light, by endorsing this path, we—the gods of this world—bestow you knighthood."
This was quick, I thought to myself. They had already chosen me as a knight of the Holy Order. Well… oh shit.
In the distance, a giant tree loomed. A horde of thieves and outlaws roamed nearby. If I met them, they might strip me naked or kill me. What could be done?
Oh right—by being chosen by the god system. Now, a tall knight was coming closer. He spoke, "Well, you are here in the gods-forsaken land. There's no mom out here, lad."
"I can manage on my own, thank you," I responded.
"Haha," he replied. "You mind if I take a walk with you then?"
We soon met some goblins. There were a lot of them, and we charged at them with all our might. I managed to stab one. They wielded knives and swords and spoke to each other in their savage language. Groups surrounded the tall knight, whom I recalled was named Rickon. I tried to help, but he handled them on his own, slashing through them—heads and arms fell. One of the goblins was a magician. I couldn't take him myself, but Rickon could.
Later, we saw a giant eagle in the sky. They are known to be harmless to humans, as they are highly intelligent.
We walked down to what I assumed was a kingdom. At the gates, a man and a woman greeted us. "Hello, travelers. What brings you to our great city?"
The tall knight spoke. "We are here to meet a friend of mine named Lucas. I reckon you know who that is."
The woman responded, "We know who that is. Any proof that you are not outsiders?"
"My ring," he said.
It was a red gem set in gold, and white sparks could be seen dancing across it.
