Silas arrived at a grand museum after walking for a while. He went into a guide group with 5 other people and began exploring with the guide's reccomendations
Artifacts, countries, magicians. It was all there, the entire history. Well, not in it's entirety, but a large part of it.
"Wow... The history isnt falling behind to japan's at all...".
After a while, the group stopped at a certain artifact that, despite being old, was still giving of mana-like energy.
The guide spoke "This, ladies and gentlemen, was the "Oracle of beggining" Worn by our great leader 'Emperor Sora el Aethern', it is said it had the power to ressurect anyone once, no matter how injured they were." The guide said
"Um..." Sila began talking "Who was that 'Sora' Fellow?." He asked
"Sora el Aethern, he was the first emperor of the catalonic empire, aswell as our direct leader. He was one of the few who managed to achieve the tenth stage. His most important feat was uniting half of the continent, which rewarded him with the title "The continental emperor". Anything else?" She asked, happy to explain
"No need, thank you" Silas answered "Actually, what could you mean by 'Direct leader'?"
"The town we are in was basically the capital of his empire, so we consider him our direct leader"
"Ah, i see, thank you" Silas said to the guide.
After that, nothing interesting was seen, so Silas walked out of the museum
"It wasnt that interesting except of that Emperor Sora... Tenth stage AND royalty in addition? He was totally living the dream..." Silas said as he stretched
"The lady also mentioned that his family lineage still lingers to this day, albeit fallen out of grace... It'd be nice to meet them some day"
Silas began strolling around. He stopped by a bakery and bought a sandwhich.
"Where should i go next though?" He said as he walked through the town, occasionaly biting down on the sandwhich.
"Hm... Lets see..." He sat down on a bench, pondering
As Silas was walking around, he stumbled upon a poster featuring a location that he hadnt seen on his map before. "A... Colloseum?"
"How come it doesnt show up on the map?" He said as he held his map up. He used his fingers to 'zoom out' on it, and the colloseum appeared on it.
It was quite far, between The 'Belhardz' kingdom he was in and the Kingdom of 'Unum'.
If one were to calculate the distance it would be around 20 kilometers to reach to the colloseum from the middle of belhardz where he was
"Hm... Thats quite fa-" As Silas checked Belhardz again, he saw something he didnt before. A train station. "There's trains in this world?! That saves so much time then!" He said as he began walking to it
"But... How come there's trains but no cars? I mean, i've seen bikes before but no cars... Weird"
15 Minutes of walking later
"Finally here. The trains seem to be steam ones." He said as he checked the train's schedules. "One leaves for the colloseum in 2 hours... Gotta wait i guess."
Silas began strolling around the station, checking out some bakery's and such in the process
"It's safe to say the world is somewhere in the Industrail Revolution era... Thats convinient" He said as he ate a cheese bun.
"Oh right, i didnt ask how much tickets costed, there should be a Booking clerk of sorts, right?" Silas said as he ran back to the stations
"Thank god they have clerks here." He said as he walked up to an office cube-like building "Excuse me?"
"Yes?" Anwered a short woman with weirdly sparkling green hair
"Um, how much are the tickets for a train?" Silas asked
'Well, its dependent on the location, where are you planning to travel to?"
"To the colloseum between Berhaldz and Unum" Silas answered
"Youre talking about the Colloseum of trial?"
"Is that what it called? Well, probably so"
"The tickets should be around 3 silver for a one way ticket, or 6 silver for both ways. Would you like me to cut up a ticket?" The clerk asked
"6 silver? Thats quite a lot... Well, money is meant to be spent, so sure" Silas said as he pulled out 3 silver coins from his puch and gave them to the lady
"Alright, here you go" The woman gave Silas a train ticket "The train departs in 50 minutes on track 3. have a nice trip!"
"Thank you" He said as he walked away.
Silas sat on a bench and picked up a newspaper laying on it next to him "There's newspapers too... Makes me look fancy" He said as he began reading
"Hm... Wow, theres nothing new suprisingly. You'd think a magic world would have much more news to offer, but i guess not"
After finishing reading, he burnt the newspaper as he saw there was no garbage bin close
"Magic sure is convenient... Anyways, the train should be almost here, i should get ready for departure" Silas said as he got up, stretched and waited near the 3rd track as instructed
"I wonder how the colloseum will be like... Im excited"
