Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 Master Pai strikes again!

Everyone was very interested in the upcoming World Event.

Except for Zhongli, who was already advanced in years and past the age of seeking excitement.

He felt that if he had the chance, he should definitely ask Lumine if Director Hu could be pulled in.

After all, Director Hu was at the age where she loved to play and would surely enjoy such an event.

Messages in the group chat slowly dwindled, as it was time for evening rest.

Lumine and Paimon also rested, as the day had been exceptionally fulfilling, making them masters of time management.

They not only visited another world but also didn't miss Kachina's competition.

Afterward, they bathed in the hot springs with Mualani, and finally, they planned a hot spring party for Atea.

However, the two were woken up in the middle of the night by sounds from outside.

Then they were led out by Mualani, who rushed into their room.

Upon arriving outside, they saw Abyss monsters everywhere, as well as the Flowing Spring Folk patrol team fighting against them.

Paimon was a little surprised and confused, "Why are there so many Abyss monsters?"

After Mualani briefly explained, considering Lumine and Paimon were guests,

she originally wanted to take them to the shelter, but some patrol team members were already overwhelmed and started calling for help.

"Mualani—come quickly and help! We can't hold on!"

Mualani quickly agreed, preparing to provide support.

Lumine naturally also pulled out her weapon, condensing elemental power in her hand, ready to charge forward with Mualani at any moment.

With the help of the two exceptionally strong individuals, the patrol team's decline was reversed, and in a short while, they had cleared most of the monsters from the Hot Spring Village.

They also rescued many patrol team members along the way, and everyone was very grateful to the guests Mualani had invited.

Not only because Lumine had come to their rescue, but also because of Lumine's skilled manipulation of elemental power and elemental conversion.

Clearing the Abyss monsters was only the first step; to completely eradicate them, they still needed to find and seal the Abyss Gate.

The group gathered their forces and headed towards Amina, the leader of the Flowing Spring Folk.

Only Amina, who was responsible for personnel coordination and overseeing the overall situation, would have information on the location of the Abyss Gate.

Upon arriving at the shelter, most of the elderly and children had already gathered there.

It seemed the Flowing Spring Folk had reacted very quickly, and casualties should be minimal.

Amina: "Mualani, and our two guests, I heard you helped defeat many monsters. Thank you so much."

"Although we made preparations beforehand, we were short-handed, and the monsters still broke through our defenses and rushed into the tribe. Fortunately, there have been no casualties so far."

A few simple sentences made Lumine understand that Natlan seemed to be on the front lines of the fight against the Abyss.

After all, these tribes seemed very experienced in dealing with the Abyss and were all prepared for it.

Mualani didn't stand on ceremony, "Where did the Abyss invade from this time?"

Amina replied: "To the east. We have already pinpointed the location of the Abyss Gate, but we haven't been able to gather enough warriors to attack it."

"And judging by the number of monsters, there's probably more than one Abyss Gate this time. We are still scouting for the locations of other gates..."

Mualani replied: "In that case, let's go seal the eastern gate first."

Then she turned to look at Lumine and Paimon beside her: "Lumine, Paimon, I won't be polite. Can I ask you to lend me a hand this time?"

Lumine and Paimon naturally wouldn't refuse.

Along the way, the few of them didn't waste much time; whenever someone asked for help,

Lumine would smash down an Elemental Skill, suppressing the monsters first to solve the immediate crisis, and then let the patrol members clear them out themselves.

After all, the Abyss Gate was the root cause; without dealing with it, everything else was futile.

Upon reaching the eastern Abyss Gate, they saw it standing on a hillside, guarded by a dozen mimicry-type Ridge Drakes.

The two cooperated very well.

Mualani first unleashed an Exploding Waterfall Missile, creating a large-area Hydro splash, and then Lumine followed up by slashing out several Electro Shadow Swords to stun the Abyss monsters.

Next, Lumine condensed Anemo energy and unleashed a massive Anemo Tornado to repel the monsters.

While the Anemo Tornado was still active and the monsters were unable to move, the two quickly sealed the Abyss Gate first.

Then they continued to clear out the remaining monsters.

But those Abyss monsters seemed endless; as soon as they finished clearing this area,

they turned around and found monsters emerging again from the direction of the previously cleared abandoned hot springs.

That was the place prepared for Atea's hot spring party.

Everyone rushed over, only hoping that it hadn't been too severely damaged.

When they arrived quickly, they found only Atea sitting slumped on the ground against a rock.

And she looked not only heavily wounded externally but also severely eroded by Abyss energy.

Visibly purple-black energy was overflowing from her body.

Mualani panicked at the sight, as Atea, to her,

was not just a neighbor but more like an elder, who had taken care of her a lot, making it hard for her to believe that Atea was about to be eroded by the Abyss and lose her life.

At this moment, two other young people who were also preparing for the hot spring party ran over, and Mualani, seeing that help had arrived, said,

"Hurry and find a doctor! Atea is very seriously injured."

The two understood the urgency; even though Atea tried to stop them, they still ran back towards the shelter to find a doctor.

Lumine watched the purple-black energy overflowing from Atea's body, her brows tightly furrowed, and quickly turned to Paimon, her voice grave.

"Paimon, try your ability! Atea's condition is very dangerous."

Paimon's small face tightened, immediately understanding Lumine's meaning, "Leave it to me!"

She immediately summoned her small wrench and flew to Atea's side.

She said to Mualani: "Mualani, move aside, let me try."

Mualani was about to ask, but seeing Paimon's serious and earnest expression, she swallowed her words.

Paimon gently touched the wrench to Atea's chest, and as before, the wrench merged into Atea's body.

Immediately, a golden magic circle about three feet appeared beneath Atea, and the wrench's phantom rotated above her head.

Lumine held her sword tightly, vigilantly watching her surroundings, to prevent any stray monsters or new threats from disturbing Paimon's healing.

Although she trusted her companion's ability, her nerves were still taut, ready to respond to any sudden situation.

This cleansing process went very smoothly; the wrench's phantom above Atea's head didn't even stutter, rotating slowly above her head.

At the same time, the Abyss energy, transformed into purple-black mist, continuously surged out of Atea's body.

This process lasted less than ten seconds before ending.

Atea suddenly felt her body lighten, and the heavy sensation and the sharp pain from the Abyss energy erosion instantly subsided by more than half.

She looked down at herself in shock, then looked up at Paimon, her eyes filled with confusion.

After all, as the Candle Keeper of the Flowing Spring Folk, she had been fighting the Abyss for her entire life.

Yet she had never seen anything like Paimon, who could directly cleanse Abyss energy. This was simply unheard of!

Mualani, seeing Atea's condition improve, first breathed a sigh of relief, then looked at Paimon, her eyes filled with disbelief and gratefulness tinged with fear.

Paimon was a little embarrassed by their gazes, twisting her body in the air, "Hehe, don't stare at me like that, it's embarrassing."

Then she remembered something and quickly put a finger to her lips, "Shh! This ability must be kept a secret! Lumine said we can't let too many people know yet!"
