Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Alright! The name poll is officially finished. One day was plenty of time for readers who check the story daily or whenever a new update appears.

As of 12/2/2026 at 17:47 EST, voting is closed.

For counting, I considered the likes on my comment in the name section as the valid votes, since that helped avoid duplicates and made the tally clearer. I also counted the +1/"yes" comments this time just to be fair during the recount.

The two leading names were Henrik and Aleksander.

Henrik received 12 valid votes (13 including +1/yes comments), while Aleksander received 2 valid votes (15 including +1/yes comments).

Under the established voting method, Henrik clearly wins, and even with the recount considered, the overall result still supports Henrik as the chosen name.

So from now on, the character's name will be Henrik Mikaelson-Petrova. No more Mikael Mikaelson. I'll update the cover image later.

About the story itself: there will be no changes to the planned direction. As you all previously voted, the story will continue into The Originals.

Thank you all for participating!

I will be removing the previous poll post.

Joe held up a hand, his smile unwavering. "Alright, there's no need for things to get loud or violent. Though they certainly can, and it will get pretty nasty."

Lily regarded Joe with a newfound intensity, her voice controlled. "Let's start again. Who are you?"

Joe leaned back, a picture of candid calm. "I'm a witch; that's true. And I know what you are, Lily—who you are. The same goes for everyone present in this room."

"Do I know where I am or what this place is? Yes. Do I know how to leave this place? Yes, again. I ventured into the prison worlds for a specific objective, which I've already accomplished—though not in this one, but in the prison world of 1994, where our friend Kai Parker here was held captive."

Mary Louise scrutinized Kai after hearing such words, skepticism etched on her face. Even Nora seemed doubtful. "You were a prisoner of a prison world?" Mary Louise questioned.

Even Nora looked doubtful of that statement. "You don't seem to possess anything worth creating an entire prison world just for you."

Joe chuckled, amused, as he looked at Kai.

Kai, visibly embarrassed and angered by the slight, spoke up. "I'm from the Gemini Coven, like you all were. But unlike you, I was next in line to be the leader of the coven. They saw me as a monster, an abomination, much like you, as I possess no magic of my own. I have a twin sister; we were meant to undergo the Merge. But my parents cast me aside, and my father kept having more children until a new pair of twins was born. When I found out they'd denied my birthright, I killed my siblings to prove a point. Unfortunately, I was sealed in a prison world when trying to perform the Merge with my sister, only to be tricked."

Kai looked at Joe, his voice tinged with frustration for having fallen like that. "I've been a prisoner ever since. I don't even know how much time has passed."

"Eighteen years, more or less."

Valerie interjected, her brow furrowed as she asked Joe, "Why are you here, then? You had no reason to come to this prison world if you'd already accomplished your goal in Kai's."

Joe's smile turned wicked as he cast a glance at the girls and Lily. "Because of Lily, mostly. But also because of you, Nora and Mary Louise."

Lily's eyes flashed with indignation. "What do you want from us?"

Joe's response was bold and straightforward. "I want you all."

"You want us all?" Nora gasped, taken aback by his audacity.

Mary Louise, however, rolled her eyes and smirked. "Of course, you've been like a dog in heat since you appeared. But I must admit, you're quite a handsome dog." She bit her lower lip subtly, causing Nora to stare at her, shocked.

"Mary, you're not disgusted by this?" Nora asked, her voice hollow with uncertainty.

Mary Louise winked at Joe. "Not at all. Don't tell me you haven't been drooling over him too, baby?"

Nora pouted, her cheeks flushing. "I thought we were acting, Mary... mostly."

Mary Louise rolled her eyes playfully. "Nora, be honest with me."

Nora relented, a small smile playing on her lips. "Fine. He is handsome, alright?" She winked at Joe.

Joe chuckled, his eyes dancing with amusement as he turned to Valerie, who shyly avoided his gaze. Then he looked at Lily, who seemed both stunned and secretly pleased that such a young, handsome man desired her.

Before Lily could speak, Malcolm cut in, his voice sharp with anger. "You dare! Why should Lily or any of the girls follow you? You have the gall to ask for all of them at once?"

Kai laughed, thoroughly enjoying their exchange. Beau remained impassive, not that he could talk even if he wanted; he was mute after all. Oscar, however, was laughing heartily. "You... you are really a funny man, Joe."

Joe turned to Malcolm, his tone light. "Why are you so upset, Malcolm? It's their decision if they reject me or accept my proposal. Or do you harbor some desire for your sisters or mother that we should know about?"

Malcolm spluttered, his face almost seemed to turn red with indignation. "Y-You... Don't slander me, I have no such desires!!!"

"Malcolm, don't fall prey to his tactics." Lily smiled softly, attempting to calm Malcolm. She could see Joe was toying with him, but she also recognized the seriousness of his intentions regarding her and the girls. "If you've come for me specifically, Joe, I must disappoint you. I'm already in a relationship with a man, and I can't entertain your insinuations."

"However, regarding the others, I cannot speak for my daughters. Only they can choose."

Joe laughed softly, his eyes locked onto Lily's. "Well, Lily, I'm sorry to say this, but today I will have you, one way or another. I know about Julian, but he's nothing in my eyes. You will be mine today."

Lily gasped, shock written all over her face. The girls and the rest of the group stared at Joe, surprise etched on their features.

Malcolm turned to Kai, desperation in his voice. "Do you have a way out?"

Joe looked at Kai, intrigued. Kai smiled back, as if saying, 'I'm doing you a favor, bro. Accelerating the capture process.'

Kai nodded at Malcolm.

Before Joe could curse at Kai, Malcolm chanted a telekinetic spell, "Motus!" blasting Joe across the room with his chair and all against the wall. "We don't need you, Joe. You can die."

"Oh, you should have done that, Malcolm," Joe said mid-sentence as he struggled to stand up. He snapped his fingers and chanted while looking at him. "Anar'alah, Anar'alah belore."

"Aaaahhhh!!!!" Malcolm started screaming in pain as he grabbed hold of his head with both hands, feeling like he could really die from the spell. "Make it stop!!! Aaaghhh!!!"

And he wasn't wrong; a chanted pain-inflicting spell, instead of a non-verbal one, with so much magic inside Joe at this moment, meant it wasn't far-fetched that it could really kill him, and he wasn't exaggerating.

Malcolm dropped to his knees, hands clawing at his head. His scream was quite dramatic.

Lily stood. "Enough," she said.

Beau moved as soon as he heard Malcolm's screams. He closed the distance at vampire speed and drove his hand into Joe's chest as he pulled out his heart in his hand. Joe hit the wall and slid down it.

The girls gasped at the still beating heart in Beau's hands. "You killed him!" Valerie looked at it with wide-open eyes.

They were out of words for a few seconds there.

"You are quite violent. Damn, I couldn't see anything more than a blur when you moved." Joe's voice sounded as he stood up from the ground again, patting his clothes that were still intact. The heart in Beau disappeared too from existence.

"You can sleep for a while." He snapped his fingers, and Beau's neck broke apart with a snapping sound as he fell to the ground like a puppet with its string cut off.

Lily crossed the room without sound. Her hands grabbed Joe's neck, and she twisted. A dry snap cut the room. Joe's eyes lost their luster as he dropped into her embrace, as Lily sank her teeth into his neck and shoulder, and held him like a vicious, rabid dog as she was tearing apart his neck from his head while feeding. She did not waste time or words.

"Remind me to make you take extra care of my cock with your fangs when I have you under my knees sucking me off, love." Joe's voice sounded again from the side amidst the shocking display of Lily.

"Careful!" Nora stepped forward and pushed him away from Lily. "Motus!" Joe lifted as if pulled by strings and slammed into the ceiling beam. Splinters fell; his breath left him again.

"Phasmatos motus incendiamos!" Mary Louise began a fire spell under her breath. A narrow tongue of flame ran away from the fireplace towards Joe's body, burning him whole.

...

"Ouch, it must have been quite a nasty thing to feel the burning." Joe winced as he appeared again beside his burning body as it went away.

"You... Why aren't you dying already?"

Lily, Nora, Mary Louise, and Valerie stared in disbelief, their minds racing to comprehend what was happening. Oscar and Malcolm exchanged confused glances, equally perplexed.

"I wish I knew too! I already tried to kill him two times." Kai guffawed in laughter near the wall, far away from everyone.

Joe rolled his eyes at his words and, unfazed by the previous attempts to harm him, raised his hand and chanted, "Motus," a spell that pulled Lily into his embrace. His hands swiftly and firmly grasped her voluptuous form, particularly her ample mature ass, groping and enjoying the touch. "Oh, you feel incredible, Lily," he remarked, a smirk playing on his lips. "I'm gonna enjoy fucking you, love."

Oscar, a bit exhausted as they were quite famished for blood, lowly growled. "We can't just let you take them. We won't."

Joe chuckled, "And how do you plan to stop me?"

Lily, despite the sudden and intimate contact that was having a bit too much of an effect on her, more than she would have liked, managed to retaliate. She bit into his neck again, her fangs sinking deep as she growled in anger. Joe, however, seemed to relish the pain, his smile never wavering as he fondled her big and tender ass.

Oscar, seeing an opportunity, rushed forward and plunged his hand into Joe's back, extracting his heart again. Joe's body slumped to the ground, but within moments, he reappeared, standing tall and unharmed.

The Heretics, now realizing the futility of their physical attacks, decided to switch tactics. Mary Louise, Nora, Valerie, and Malcolm began chanting a boundary spell, "Phasmatos tribum, claudere," trapping Joe within a magical barrier. Inside the barrier, they cast another spell, "Incendia maxima," setting him ablaze.

To their astonishment, Joe simply absorbed the magical fire, his body unscathed. The Heretics watched in awe as he siphoned the magic from the flames, his eyes glowing with renewed power.

"He's a siphoner, like us too," Valerie whispered, her voice a mix of fear and amazement.

"Dammit." Malcolm exhaled, feeling exhausted and hungry.

Recognizing the threat, the Heretics quickly chanted a freezing spell, "Morator corpus," attempting to immobilize Joe and drain his magic. "Interesting." He said before he went still into a frozen state.

Everyone flashed beside him and started trying to absorb him. However, before they could take much of him, Joe countered by absorbing the magic cast on him instead and then taking the opportunity of having them at hand. "Now, it's my turn," he said as he pulled what little they had on them for use and weakened them further. The Heretics, already low on energy due to their prolonged desiccation and hunger, fell to their knees, weakened and drained.

Joe looked down at them, a smug smile on his face. "You should have just given in. This would have been much easier for all of us."

Lily, her voice barely a whisper, asked, "What do you want from us?"

Joe looked at her, his eyes filled with lust and desire. "I already said it, beautiful. I want you to serve me. I want you to be mine, in every way possible."

The Heretics looked at each other, defeated and drained. They had no more strength to fight, no more magic to draw from. Charging head-on again at him would render no results; they were at Joe's mercy.

Beau stood up from the floor at that moment and started absorbing him. "Motus." Joe snapped his fingers and sent him flying away. "It is useless. Why do you bother?"

Joe, growing tired of the constant back-and-forth, decided to take control. He looked at each of the Heretics, his eyes gleaming as he snapped his fingers again. "Be still," he commanded, his voice laced with compulsion. "Don't move. You won't speak unless I allow it."

The room fell silent as the Heretics, unable to resist his command, stood frozen in place. Joe surveyed the scene with satisfaction, a wicked smile playing on his lips.

"What did you do to them?" Lily asked, worry in her voice as she looked at her family, standing still and staring at her, able to move only their eyes.

"Damn, bro, that's nasty. Making them like statues," Kai said, looking at Malcolm and the rest as he stood beside them. "Sorry, buddy, I've experienced that already. It's not good, right?"

"But I've got to give you credit, you killed him quite a few times. That's already something. Unfortunately, until you understand how he works, you won't be able to really kill him."

"A pity, it was a good try." Kai sighed as if he really meant it. "Anyway, Joe, when are we leaving this place?"

"Shh, go and have some tea. Well, it is laced with something, unfortunately it didn't do what they wished to my body," Joe rolled his eyes at him.

"Now, my dear Lily, I want you to make it up to me for killing me twice," he smirked at her, his desire clear.

Joe sat in a chair, legs wide open, and looked at each one of the Heretics and Lily standing in front of them.

"Will you come on your own, or maybe I need to do something with, let's say, Malcolm to incentivize you to come?"

Lily's body trembled hearing his words as she looked at her children in front of her, her back to Joe.
