"You'll find out when you meet her," Jin Di said calmly to his mother. "But yes. She's beautiful."
"You really love her," his mother murmured. "You're even living with her."
"I love her," he said firmly. "I want to marry her and build a family with her. She's the only woman for me."
She fell silent for a long moment.
"Oh… my," she finally whispered. "I never thought I'd hear you say something like that. I can't wait to meet her."
"You will. She's busy right now, but she already agreed. We're just waiting for the right time."
"I understand." Then she hesitated. "So… the baby things?"
"They're for my godson," he explained. "My girlfriend and I became godparents to her nephew. He's one year old. Her older brother's son."
"I see…" She exhaled slowly. "I was so shocked when I heard everything. I didn't tell your grandmother. You know how she is—she would've launched a full investigation. I wanted to hear the truth from you."
