Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: You Can't Save the Doomed (Part 2)

Kudou Shinichi hadn't noticed the subtle interaction between Hoshimiya Yuu and Ran; his attention was entirely captured by Gin.

Facing Gin head-on, he felt a chill shoot up his spine, right to his brain!

This man is terrifying!

It feels like he has countless lives on his hands!

At that moment, Vodka kicked the blonde man in the butt and roared, "Hurry up and get on! You waste any more of my time, and you'll regret it!"

The blonde man stumbled from the kick but only dared to turn back and force a compensatory smile.

"Yes, yes, going now, going now."

This spineless, bully-the-weak behavior made Hoshimiya Yuu want to laugh.

While deliberately interrupting Kudou Shinichi earlier, Hoshimiya Yuu had roughly recalled the entire plot.

The blonde man was the victim, and the long-haired gymnast was the culprit.

It was a shame such a worthless piece of trash would take down a bright, promising girl with him.

After thinking for a moment, Hoshimiya Yuu decided to stop her action this time.

As for changing the plot…

The System only mentioned participating; it never said he couldn't change things.

Besides, if he crossed over and didn't change the plot, what was the point of transmigrating?

Whether he prevented the crime or helped the murderer get away with it didn't matter.

Not all killers are evil, and not all victims are innocent.

Often, many victims are wicked people whom the law cannot touch, and murder is the final act of resistance by those they persecute.

Sherlock Holmes even let several criminals walk free, the most famous being Irene Adler, the fascinating and clever female criminal.

Hoshimiya Yuu clearly understood this, but Kudou Shinichi couldn't.

He only enjoyed the pleasure of deduction and the thrill of solving cases. No matter how profound the reasons behind the case or the criminal, exposing the truth was his only choice.

"Everyone, please fasten your safety bars," a staff member reminded them using a megaphone. "We are about to launch."

Soon, the roller coaster roared away.

The combination of drops and rapid acceleration constantly delivered the adrenaline-pumping sensation of weightlessness, but few people on the ride now were focused on genuinely enjoying the unique thrill.

In the first row, Hitomi Kuujo was mentally rehearsing how she would execute her plan once they entered the tunnel.

In the second row, Kudou Shinichi was still pondering the suspicious nature of Gin and Vodka.

Hoshimiya Yuu, meanwhile, was focused on how to safely prevent the long-haired beauty in front from committing murder.

This was on a fast-moving roller coaster. Even with his Muscle Enhancement and Dynamic Vision talents, he couldn't guarantee that he could 100% safely prevent Hitomi Kuujo from killing in the dark tunnel.

He couldn't risk failing to stop the murder but still disrupting her actions, leading to a dangerous accident.

In the last row, Vodka was using binoculars, carefully examining the rendezvous point.

Only President Higashino was there.

The balding middle-aged man was holding a briefcase, glancing around nervously.

Vodka whispered a few words to Gin beside him.

Gin nodded in satisfaction, took out his phone, and sent a withdrawal message to Chianti.

Near the Ferris wheel, Chianti looked at her phone and pouted in boredom.

"Korn, let's go."

The objective was achieved, and the mission went smoothly. Gin smiled in satisfaction.

As soon as they returned to the starting point, he could complete the transaction and perfectly conclude this mission.

Soon, the roller coaster sped across the open, exposed track and entered the final section of the pitch-black tunnel.

Once his vision plunged into darkness, Hoshimiya Yuu remained fully alert.

The next moment, with the aid of his Dynamic Vision talent, he faintly caught a shadow flickering ahead.

Without time to think, he quickly reached out.

Along with a soft sensation, a sharp gasp sounded close to Hoshimiya Yuu's ear.

Then, something suddenly covered his face.

Even through the clothing, Hoshimiya Yuu still caught a faint, delicate scent.

Fighting the incessant ripples spreading through his mind, he quickly moved his hand down until he gripped the beautiful woman's slender waist.

"Let go of me…"

In the dark, Hitomi Kuujo's face was flushed red, and she whispered to Hoshimiya Yuu.

To loop the piano wire around the blonde man's neck, she had to hook her legs around her seat, leaning her upper body backward while suspended.

After her sensitive spot was touched, her body went limp, and half of her body completely collapsed into Hoshimiya Yuu's arms.

But her fair, straight legs, revealed by her short skirt, were still hooked onto the seat, leaving her in a head-down, prone position.

Due to gravity and inertia, her short skirt had completely flipped up.

Hitomi Kuujo clearly felt a chill between her legs, and a pair of hot hands were roaming nearby, about to touch the edge of her underwear.

"If I let go now, are you absolutely sure you won't fall off?"

Hoshimiya Yuu felt around for a moment. Once he roughly found her waist, he stopped moving his hands.

It wasn't that he was a gentleman, but in this situation, he needed to grip the best point for leverage to prevent the beauty in his arms from being flung out.

"Don't worry, I won't."

Hitomi Kuujo urged, "Hurry up, we're almost out of the tunnel."

The roller coaster was very fast; the seemingly long tunnel actually took less than a minute.

The two of them had already wasted over ten seconds. If she didn't act quickly, not only would she fail to kill, but she might not even be able to return to her own seat.

"How about no? It's too dangerous."

Hoshimiya Yuu leaned down, found Hitomi Kuujo's tender earlobe, and whispered, "Besides, what if you start killing again once I let go?"

"You…"

Hitomi Kuujo's body suddenly stiffened. The shock was so great that she forgot to maintain the grip of her legs.

Clang~

As the roller coaster took a sharp plunge, the gymnast's soft, supple body, conditioned by years of training, completely fell into Hoshimiya Yuu's embrace.

No longer surprised by how Hoshimiya Yuu knew her plan, Hitomi Kuujo instinctively wrapped her arms around Hoshimiya Yuu for dear life.

The soft, warm body rubbed against him, but Hoshimiya Yuu couldn't afford to savor the moment.

To prevent Hitomi Kuujo from falling, he had to act as a human safety bar.

Fortunately, the space in the roller coaster seat was small, and with two people jammed together, it was completely filled.

There was a seatback to lean against both in front and behind them.

Hoshimiya Yuu tightly wrapped his arms around Hitomi Kuujo's slender waist, resisting the powerful inertia of the roller coaster.

Hitomi Kuujo initially tried to return to her seat, but after a 360-degree loop, she resigned herself completely.

By now, the roller coaster had exited the tunnel and was beginning its final sprint before returning to the start.

Perhaps because the ride was too thrilling, the glasses-wearing friend in the first row hadn't noticed that her companion was gone.

The glasses girl hadn't noticed, but Kudou Shinichi, beside Hoshimiya Yuu, widened his eyes the moment they returned to the light.

We only passed through one tunnel, so how did another person suddenly appear in the seat next to me?

Oh, it's the beautiful woman from the front row.

Wait, this is a roller coaster. How did she get back here?

Isn't she afraid of falling off?

Hitomi Kuujo was definitely afraid. The situation was completely out of her control now.

She was no longer thinking about murder for revenge; she was focused on how to safely return to the ground.

The tall, chestnut-haired beauty was embracing Hoshimiya Yuu face-to-face, her long, straight legs tightly clamped around his.

From the side, their posture looked exactly like the classic Guan Yin Zuo Lian (Goddess of Mercy sitting on a lotus).

Hitomi Kuujo's active cooperation saved Hoshimiya Yuu a considerable amount of effort.

After a quick assessment, with his current stamina, he was confident he could safely reach the finish line.
