Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: The Inside Story

Inspired by Serena's comment, Sayuri's mind started racing. She was about to be a married woman; she wouldn't get many more chances to meet a man as breathtaking as Yuu. Why not create a memory to last a lifetime?

She used the girls' filming as an excuse. Sayuri hiked up her dress and stepped close to Yuu, suddenly wrapping her arms around his. Her soft, full breasts pressed firmly against his suit jacket, and her deep, snowy cleavage was on full display for him to see.

"Serena, Ran!" Sayuri tilted her head against Yuu's shoulder, smiling mischievously at their shocked expressions. "Don't we look perfect together?"

Yuu felt her rubbing against him and raised an eyebrow. He had sensed her interest from the moment he walked in, but he had dismissed it as his own ego after sleeping with so many beauties lately. But this? This was blatant seduction.

He didn't know what Sayuri was thinking, but it was clear her feelings for Toshihiko Takasugi weren't as deep as the public thought. Sayuri was a high-society daughter; she wasn't some submissive housewife. Toshihiko was actually her best friend's ex-boyfriend, and he had a terrible reputation in the upper circles. Serena had once called him a "useless waste of space."

Before Ran and Serena could recover from Sayuri's boldness, the door opened again, and a woman with light freckles walked in.

"Sayuri, here..."

Kazumi Takenaka froze. She had come to deliver a can of lemon tea, only to see her friend draped over a tall, incredibly handsome man. Sayuri looked blissfully happy, as if she wanted to melt into Yuu's body.

"Sayuri!" Kazumi snapped, her voice full of anger. "You're about to get married! How can you be so intimate with another man?"

In truth, Kazumi was jealous. Why did Sayuri always get the handsome ones? She had just come from a quick, dirty tryst with Toshihiko in the bathroom—a desperate act of revenge, carrying his warm cream inside her even now—and yet her "conquest" looked like a pathetic loser compared to the man Sayuri was currently touching.

While she scolded Sayuri, Kazumi was already calculating how to seduce Yuu. A man that hot was worth the effort, especially if it meant taking something else from Sayuri.

Yuu looked at Kazumi. She had a decent body, but her face was mediocre, and the freckles weren't the "cute" kind; on a woman nearing thirty, they just looked like blemishes. He wondered why Toshihiko, a rich heir, would settle for a woman like her.

Sayuri laughed off the scolding. "Kazumi, don't be so dramatic. My students are filming me, and I'm just posing for them."

"But this is too much! If Toshihiko knew..."

"Let him know," Sayuri said defiantly. "We aren't married yet. I'm just enjoying the last few minutes of my single life."

She pressed herself even harder against Yuu, watching his reaction out of the corner of her eye. Yuu coughed, unable to ignore the jealous glares from Ran and Serena.

"Sayuri, maybe we should settle down. We wouldn't want any 'misunderstandings' before the ceremony," Yuu said smoothly.

"I suppose you're right. I wouldn't want to make things difficult for you, Yuu." Sayuri reluctantly let go of his arm.

"I don't think we've met," Yuu said, looking at Kazumi.

"She's my best friend," Sayuri introduced her. "Kazumi Takenaka. We've known each other since high school."

"That's right. And Sayuri's groom is actually my ex-boyfriend!" Kazumi added with a forced, mocking tone. "I guess my charms weren't enough to keep him, so now she gets to marry him."

Serena's eyes widened. She lived for gossip this juicy. Ran, however, looked worried about the tension.

"Kazumi, that's in the past," Sayuri said tiredly. "I tried to turn him down so many times, but you kept insisting..."

"Fine, fine. I was just joking." Kazumi cut her off, clearly not wanting the full truth to come out. "Here, your lemon tea. Use a straw so you don't mess up your lipstick."

She practically fled the room.

"Ms. Matsumoto, is she really your friend? She seems... unpleasant," Serena said, voicing what Yuu was thinking.

"I don't even love Toshihiko," Sayuri sighed, letting the mask slip. "I didn't want to steal a friend's boyfriend, but after they broke up, he wouldn't stop pursuing me. Then Kazumi started encouraging me to say yes... and my family was pressuring me to settle down. He's the heir to the Takasugi Group, so it seemed like a logical match."

Sayuri's voice was full of regret. "To be honest, Toshihiko and I haven't even held hands. Meanwhile, he and Kazumi are still 'close.' She's always bragging about it. I only agreed to this because she kept pushing me, but we've had some huge fights over it lately."

Serena's sympathy for her teacher grew. "Oh, so she's marrying that Toshihiko? He's just an adopted heir. I've met him at parties—he's indecisive, weak, and most people think the Takasugi family will go bankrupt under him."

Before Serena could finish her insult, the man himself pushed the door open.

"Aha! I knew it! Toshihiko Takasugi!" Serena pointed a finger at the man in the white suit. "If I'd known Ms. Matsumoto was marrying a loser like you, I would have stopped it!"

As a Suzuki, she actually had the power to do it. The Takasugi family was nothing compared to the Suzuki Corporation.

Toshihiko, however, remained calm and polite—almost suspiciously so. "Miss Suzuki." He ignored the insult and walked to Sayuri, opening the can of lemon tea and inserting a straw. "Here, Sayuri. Drink slowly. I'll get you more if you need it."

"Thank you, Toshihiko." Sayuri took it but didn't drink.

"Fake," Serena hissed under her breath.

Toshihiko's brow furrowed. "Miss Suzuki, if you're only here to cause trouble, I must ask you to leave."

Ran stepped in before Serena could escalate. "That's enough, Serena." The ceremony was about to start; making a scene now would only humiliate Sayuri.
